Ukraine claims to have destroyed another Russian warship with a missile strike on a shipyard in annexed Crimea.
The downed vessel has been named as the newly-built Askold missile ship, one of the most modern in Vladimir Putin’s navy.
Moscow has admitted to losing a ship in an attack by 13 cruise missiles, but not which one.
Footage showed the strike hit Butoma shipyard in Kerch, close to Putin’s major bridge linking the annexed peninsula to Russia.

  • Ship's name is Askold, it's norse, scandinavian name Haskuldr or Hǫskuldr\Höskuldr, Askold was the ruler of Kievan Rus (died in 882) he is the earliest known ruler of Kyiv, they were kinda mercenaries invited by locals. North European countries are ones of the most dedicated allies of Ukraine, I wonder if they know that they actually have deep historical ties with Ukraine. Also it's kinda ironic that russian warship was named after Askold.

    • The Russian navy only has like 3% of its navy in the black sea. You have the pacific and northern fleets that make up the majority of their forces and they can not easily make the journey to reinforce the black sea, if they made that journey, Ukraine would be over, odessa conquered in hours not days. Its easy to be bold when there is only few ships in the black sea.

  • On November 3, 2023, The Sun newspaper reported that 38-year-old British mercenary Christopher Perryman was killed last week as a result of a Russian artillery attack. The native of Northern Ireland worked as a security guard in his homeland. Then he wanted more money and became a mercenary. I managed to visit Iraq and Kosovo as a sniper. Khokhland also seemed like easy money to him, but it didn't work out.
