OK, this is exactly what you should not do. Hear me out as I tell you why. If your camera unit has OIS, then it is levitating on magnets and has 4 very thin microscopic wires that are holding it in place. These wires will break if you tug on the lens. They often also break if you drop your phone from a height or use motorcycle phone mounts without vibration dampers as they are very delicate and fragile. Others might say you should not do it because you will damage your camera, they are right and I explained why it would get damaged and what exactly will get damaged if it does. And just so you know, there is no way to repair the module once it gets damaged and only option is to replace the unit. Even the manufacturer recycles such damaged units as they have no efficient way to repair them. BONUS: If your phone camera produced blurry images, or the autofocus is acting up, chances are, your camera is damaged as described above. You might also hear rattling noises if you open the camera app and put the phone camera next to your ear. This happened with me on my old iPhone 13 pro max when I cheaped out and bought a quadlock phone mount without purchasing the recommended optional vibration dampner, but as I did not cheap out when purchasing my phone, I had Apple Care+ where they replaced the whole camera unit of 3 cameras for free(that costs around ₹15,000 to replace).
