Hello! We live in Japan with two Asian Small-Clawed Otters.
Kotaro: Male, DOB 11/10/2017
Kotaro has a scar on his tail from being bitten by another otter when he was still a baby.
Hana: Female, DOB 11/24/2018
They have been toilet trained; they use a special pad that is designed for small dogs.
Since I'm using a translation function, my sentences might come out strange.

Yes indeed! I first met on KZhead, Kotaro and Hana when they visited Captain Aty at Noro Lodge, I was struck by his wonderful face as it reminded me of one of the only Japanese tv dramas I was able to see on US tv broadcast on the life of Miyamoto Musashi. Katora's face reminded me of that wonderful Actor and story's Hero that introduced me to a deeper love and appreciation for Japan .... seems Love is the only Force that can heal a broken heart, it certainly works for Otters, just looking at Hana, Kotaro, Captain Aty and Ui.... All of you help my heart to heal...I thank All that is Holy for you.

Never thought that Otter can be a house pet. Super! They are so cute.
Well, not exactly. they can be tamed in some circumstances, but they are VERY difficult to take care of. (Besides, they're Illegal to keep in most countries outside of japan.) Thankfully, these guys bring their otters to many places to explore, and give them a lot of care, so they definetly were fit for the job.
@@areakastudios6704 There ARE other countries where they are legal to keep as pets. Japan is just the most known due to the otter cafes and these YT channels. In the USA they're legal to keep in Florida and a few other states. But, as we both know, Asian Small-Clawed Otters were moved to CITES Schedule I in late 2019, meaning int'l trade is banned. That's why Japanese including Otterman are trying to set up legit domestic breeding programs. You're absolutely right that otters do NOT make good pets and should NOT be kept by anyone who doesn't have the resources (money, time, space) to take proper care of them. Fortunately for K&H, Kotsumet does, even though he can't get out to the Nature as much as Otterman & Aty. We all feel for "Queen of REEEE" Sakura, but even her owner must be doing something right seeing as she's by far the oldest KZhead Otter and looks to be in good health physically, even if her psyche may be stunted from boredom.

Ага милахи, как-то раз меня они оставили без улова, в садке было килограмм 25 рыбы, они заночь прогрызли садок и вытащили проктически весь улов, оставили чисто алиби для жены пару рыбок. Вот было обидно, а то что они няшки я согласен , можно на них смотреть вечно👍👍👍
