  • If someone taps you on the left shoulder that is the way you look and react. Why he looks to the right is a mystery in itself.

    • I do similiar myself, Dumb Mutts. Not because I am stupid or anything of the sort. It is just because similar used to happen to me time to time in my grade school years. I got used to people moving towards my opposite shoulder whenever they tapped on one of my shoulders. This way they could sneak behind me without me ever knowing they were until they spoke up, bumped into me or I bumped into them, or I turned around and saw them being behind me.

  • I really believe in the "guardian angel" theory, as one night, while I was on my phone, some guy tapped my shoulder & just as I turned around, I saw a car coming towards me at a speed of what looked like 20 km per hour. Luckily, I moved aside & began to search around to thank the person who had alerted me, but no one was there. To this day, I thank that person who saved my life.

    • My daughter ALWAYS wears a seatbelt and started to remind me to put mine on when she was two years of age. On this day my daughter went into a petrol station to get a juice while the driver filled the car. As she got back in the car her phone rang and the driver also got in and started off. Because she was on the phone she just forgot for the first time in her life to belt up. The driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle and it flew in the air and went over three times before landing, This was a small fiesta and my daughter is 5' 11". The only place to survive that accident was to be thrown onto the dash board which was the only window that did not smash - my daughter because she had no seat belt was thrown into that very spot. Her seat was crushed and so was the back seats and boot - in fact the police and the ambulance said they had never seen anybody walk away from a car in that condition. My daughter broke a finger nail. My daughter was a student and she and her friend were on their way to catch the ferry to come home to me for the weekend. Her friend had broken the windscreen a few weeks earlier and had it replaced with the cheapest glass and this was the only window to survive the crash. The driver, her friend was saved from the air bags but was hurt. Anyway when I went back to the accident site with my daughter a while later I was shocked because it was right opposite her great grandfathers grave. He MUST have been her guardian angel that day because of everything that happened in that car - I knew immediately that her great grandad was sitting on her shoulder or she would not have survived.

  • There's one probable explanation to some the stairs that were not mentioned in the video: The houses have likely been moved, but the stairs were left as they were not attached to the house (and could easily be rebuilt on the new site). Moving houses are common, as it may be cheaper than building a new one. The foundation may have got hidden by the vegetation, leaving the stairs as the only visible trace.

  • My father had a similar experience like the guardian angel one. This is his story. He was walking on the sidewalk, not far from a major, intersection. At the edge of the sidewalk, there's a fence. While walking a young lady walking from behind him hit him with such force that he fell on the ground! The next moment a truck was right over him! The truck lost control and hit the fence. He was laying down by the fence and the truck was on top. Nothing happened to him! Otherwise he would have been mashed on the wall of the fence. Later on no one could find that young lady as he wanted to thank her.

Same as a door and frame standing alone out deep into the woods that I first heard slam shut. It was when I was cutting pine tips deep into the woods. I heard it slam and cold chills ran over me. So, I started looking for what I heard and when I walked around following the noise, I finally came across an old door and frame standing alone up a little ways from where that I was cutting the pine tips. The wind was opening and closing the door. It was where a house once stood.. I didn't understand how it hadn't rottened but it was in pretty fair condition standing on it's own, trees and wild brush and sone box woods had grown pretty tall near the door.. Really weird..

  • Different types of staircases had different uses. I noticed some were made to make walking up a hill easier. If it was a two-sided short staircase, with a platform in the middle, it was a romantic place where lovers met or kissed. Back before the airplane: There was a time when some men were determined to figure out how to fly. They made "wings" out of various materials and tall staircases, which they jumped from, fruitlessly flapping to the ground.

    • Do you know the old staircases rule? Usually the defenders were a floor higher than the soldiers fighting themselves up. So a staircase always turns to the right when you climb the stairs. For right handed soldiers can't possibly use their sword, climbing a right turn. And the men waiting for you, they can chop your head off. Left hand soldiers were always the first ones climbing such a standard chaircase. Did you know this? A narrow staircase was a trap. And a trap is the Dutch word for stairs, maybe there is a connection after all.

If the man's future self saves his present self from getting hit by the gate then how did his future self get the idea of saving his past self because he was never hit in the first place, leading to a paradoxical time loop. 2. Guardian angel This is just as lazy as it gets. Moving on. 3. Prank The only logical thing I can think of. The man who nudged the working man was trying the good old prank where you poke someone and then hide, but it somehow coincided with the truck passing and resulted into one of the most eerie coincidences.

  • The curved staircase you show in the beginning is actually a really famous tourist destination up in New Hampshire. It was part of a large manor that burned down but because the stairs were made of stone only the stairs remained as well as the foundation. They're pretty common in the northeastern US at least. I can think of 5 or 6 staircases off the top of my head that are in the woods and lead to no where. Actually I lived in a neighborhood with one that used to lead to a mansion that burned down. Not saying this is the explanation for all of them but it's a common one.

    @FoxrosePettipaw@FoxrosePettipaw2 жыл бұрын
    • It makes sense too, because the foundation for homes along with the staircase needs to hold all the weight and provide uniformity, unlike the rest of the house which can be then made out of cheaper material. I'm pretty sure if you dig up the old books and registrations for the land in those areas you'd find something. My guess is that there would have been small communities in parts of the forest but most of them would have moved closer to the city and some folks went all out on the foundations hoping the place would go popular and hence their buildings would remain for longer but unfortunately didn't.

I can't remember exactly what happened, but i think she had been traveling alone to some place when she had a sudden problem with her car and had too pull over. After a second this man showed up and offered to help. My mom gladly excepted and so the guy started to inspect the car. After a few minutes i guess he finally figured out what the problem was. So my mom hopped into the car to try and start it. Thankfully what ever the guy did actually work and it immediately started up. But then when she hopped back out too thank the man, he had completely disappeared! The crazy thing is that my mom had been in the car for a very short period of time. There was no time for the man too go anywhere with out being seen. Buildings weren't for miles and the area she was in was completely flat and had no trees. It would have been very easy to spot someone a long wase away each direction, but the man had vanished into thin air.

    • $5 says the guy either slipped and fell off a cliff at the roadside, or had crawled under the car to make sure something was working, and she ran him over when she drove away. Or perhaps he was hit by a passing car and thrown clear from the road. The “after a second, a man showed up” part of the story also neglects to say from where. Did he have a car? A bicycle? A flying 1985 Delorean? But back to the details, did your mom pop the hood herself, or did the guy? Was the hood left open when she tried to start the car? I know from experience, when working on an engine, trying to start a car, you don’t close the hood until the car actually starts. The open hood would have blocked her view forward from the driver’s seat. Did she have to close the hood? I’ve seen first hand, people appearing out of nowhere - and then disappear just as fast. Could be a farmer putting up fence posts, and you don’t see him when you stop the car right next to where he is working, and then he appears. Then returns to his work afterwards. Point is, without knowing where the person came from, it can be tough to figure out where they went afterwards. And no, I don’t think she actually ran him over.

A lot of places you can find stone foundations of buildings that had the entire building rot away. A mortared stone or cast concrete staircase can do the same thing. Also one style of foundation is to build what are called pilings which from a distance look like pieces of stone embedded in the ground. These could be concealed under fallen leaves or other debris.

  • Ok, I just have to say: The man with the seemingly modern camera has his hair cut just like some other men in the crowd - high above his ears. The single lens reflex camera was invented in the 1930s by Leitz-Leica, but the one the man is holding has a square bellows type of housing with a round lens at the end. The camera lens assembly could fold back to the body, and the little door shown at the front right of the lens would snap shut to hold it in to protect it. This style was phased out in the 1940s. There were letter sweaters back in the 1920 -30s. probably earlier. There were sunglasses similar to those worn by this man in Victorian times. The side flaps on some of them folded forward to darken the front lenses. The man is a photographer as evidenced by the very nice camera, and he would have bought this available style of sunglasses to shield his eyes from sideways slanting sunshine

  • The stairs are easy to explain: if they aren't meant to be hunting blinds for the laziest of people, or viewing plaforms for tourists, then they're obviously the remains from a really old structure. Stairs are typically the most structurally sound part of a structure, especially when made out of concrete.

    @pugfugly1989@pugfugly19892 жыл бұрын
    • I can buy that for most of these cases, but when there is no other evidence of a structure other than the stairs themselves, calls into question that specific determination. Obviously I'm not saying that they are staircases to hell, or alternate universes, etc, but it does raise the ire of the most fundamentally skeptical people.

  • I personally believe the Padamsky Crater may be a Pheonix nest. Starting with the 'Fire Eagle' that is pretty much what a Pheonix is. Plus the properties the Pheonix is said to hold in different mythologies that could be why people dissapear and/or die. As much as they are regarded as a mythical creature I beleive they may have once been real.

  • A lot of the staircases in the woods are actually legit fire observation posts and are put in strategic locations out in the middle of nowhere to allow forest rangers to gain a vantage point which will quickly allow them to pinpoint locations of forest fires in order to relay this info via radio to air-drop fire fighting aircraft nearby. That being said, more than a few of them DO exist in the super-natural realm and they are always 100% clean, immaculate and have no leaves, dirt, or other debris on them. THOSE are the ones you avoid at all costs, but all the others have mundane explanations and do serve a practical purpose.

  • I believe everyone has a guardian angel/angels. When l was 20, l walked to the nearest bus stop in a deserted street after working overtime hours. A man was following me because l heard his running footsteps. When l turned around clutching my handbag tightly to my chest and faced him, praying to GOD for help, suddenly the man looked up. Then he screamed and did a 180° turn. I quickly looked up and around me but saw nothing. While running away from me, he looked behind his shoulders, then ducked his head down and screamed loudly again. He looked as though something from above was going to get him. After that, l turned away and ran as fast as l could. I really believed an angel came to my rescue at my time of need. Praise GOD!

  • I went to a YMCA camp that had a set of stairs in the middle of the woods. My group’s camp counselor for the survival day took us on a hike out to see them and the remains of the founder’s house. The story behind the steps was a plane from an airline company had to make an emergency landing several years back, back when people boarded the planes from the tarmac on steps. They had everyone get off and then once the issue passed, they took off without the steps saying they’d pick them up later. They never did and they’re still there to this day I’m assuming.
