  • And to think, Simone wasn't even trying or pushing difficulties, her routines were "toned" down, and yet she still won by 5pts.

    • Toned down, mistake, and time off, and to comeback and beat by at least 2 points only the best could do it.

    • And that's why if she leaves the team, the Americans don't win as a team anymore.

  • The fact that Simone won by 5 point eventhough - she gave up half a point to have laurent spot her on vault - had a mistake on her uneven bars routine - very watered down floor routine It is so crazy, we are lucky to witness her doing gymnastics.

  • her program as it is is more than enough. she just has to clean it up a bit on bars, a tad more consistency on beam and the gold is hers. her fx is freakin effortless.

    • double layout as her last pass counts as a H element right? Her difficulty is still so high without her triple double

    • @@Zephur0show is a double layout a H element?

      @benbailey159bb@benbailey159bb9 ай бұрын
    • @@Zephur0sThe double layout is still just a F! Technically she gets the 0.2 bonus for dismounting with a D+ element, but that applies for everything so idk if I’d refer to it as an H because of that. If you do that would mean dismounting with a double tuck is an F and that’s just kind of ridiculous.

  • Wow!! So impressive!! I haven’t seen many men do double yurchenko tucked or piked… - but I doubt that there’s isn’t any male gymnast at the moment right now that is even near Simone in getting THAT much power, height and potential out of a yurchenko entry!! And in practice she made some of them with even more power and over rotation!!

    @MrCph2200@MrCph22009 ай бұрын
  • I really like Simone's new floor even though it was watered down because the tumbling is so controlled while before she always goes OOB because of too much power so I think it is much better. A 6.8 watered down floor routine LOLS.

  • Can someone please tell me with a vault that fast if Laurent spotting could actually save her life? It just doesn’t seem like he would make a difference.

    @quedotelancine1685@quedotelancine16859 ай бұрын
    • Sometimes it mentally helps the gymnast knowing that someone is there so they have more preperation time in prac :) Also yeah coaches are very experienced with spotting and can make quite a difference

      @daro2404@daro24049 ай бұрын
    • Yes he could! If she somehow misses the take off he can save her with more than a 1/2 flip left! And actually if you think about it… if we can have a coach for bars on a pak (half a flip!!) then this should be 100% normal to have on THAT kind of vault where she is flipping 2.5 times! I think its very very vice !

      @virreroni87@virreroni879 ай бұрын
    • @@virreroni87yeah, that’s a really good point. The FIG is inconsistent about safety. 😭 Like, a coach shouldn’t be able to touch the gymnast to help get get off the table, but having them there like they are on bars to keep the gymnast from having a catastrophic fall seems like it would just be a safety concern.
