I Pickup MSI EX600 from Trash - Can I restore it?
Hi everyone, thank you for 22:27 of your time. In this video I restore trashed MSI EX600 and one less to finish on Landfill. It's a bit old laptop, but not for trash, it's good for basic daily tasks such working with document, social media, web browsing, watching videos, listening to musing and playing older but great games ( hundreds of games can be still be played )

Didn't expect the ruler would ever come in handy lol now I know 😅
That is a really great and novel use-case, also, spraying it and then covering the ruler with carbon vinyl...brilliant!
His monthly shopping list must've been like: 1 pack eggs 1 bread 2 packets milk 1000 packets of cotton buds 1000 litres of isopropyl alcohol
L
And 1000 trashed laptops
I wasn't expecting that _read more_
Lol
and this is prob his yt shopping list 1000 cpu's 20 rulers 1000000000 gallons of isopropyl a lot of laptop displays and 1000000 trashed laptops 1000000 more subs
Other laptop repair shop: "We have to replace that laptop case. No way we can save it" Andrew: "Hold my ruler"
it was a smart idea to do at the time but as someone who works at a repair shop, i'd rather give the customer a repair that isn't jank
@@dillonuzzell572 good thing he's not repairing for a customer

Finally what I have been looking for. Videos with great simple mods and detailed teardowns and can't forget the cleaning too. I searched KZhead for this kind a of content but couldn't really find just the right stuff. I just love what you do to those laptops\pcs etc. And I really enjoy how you clean everything. I kind a do the same too when cleaning very meticulous. Plus you have all the right tools. Brushes, brushes, brushes and lots of alcohol. Yep!. Keep it up and I will keep watching. Thank You and Stay Safe. from a proud Canadian.
Really love how creative this guy restores stuff. Continue uploading good content as always! :)
Using a plastic ruler to enforce the broken case is an absolutely genius idea! I didn't expect you'd cover it with vinyl sticker. A pretty cool hack.
These videos always put a smile on my face. Spreading good vibes to the world one laptop restoration at a time. Your content inspires on so many levels!
new subciber here, Im impressed that you can disassemble all the components without a manual. Its so entertaining to watch how you can revive broken laptops and doing some modification on it.
What a genius idea !! I had a slightly different specced model with the exact top cover and the exact problem...broken cover at the hinges. I could not discard the laptop because it was my first laptop. Now I know how to restore it. A billion thanks to Andrew.
Yoooo the ruler thing is awesome!!!! Keep up the good work Andrew 👍👍👍
Fabulous video!!! I am speechless at your ingenuity.
Been watching your channel for about a year and a half now! I'm really enjoying the laptop content, keep working hard bro!
Oh my god, that plastic ruler trick and the use of carbon vinyl cover is absolutely amazing. Well done!
very nice content as always. I think you should give more highlights on before and after performance of the machine. Gamers loved that.
I wish I could do this these are really cool videos. Been watching for 2 years your contents never changed always been great quality... well incredible quality keep it up!
Great job! I highly appreciate the "ruler" screen fix. Wish I had this idea for my 2007 Asus laptop which had a known failed screen plastic (it shattered almost on every machine)
Fantastic job, and great idea(the ruler) to fix the damage hinges.
That’s unusual to see so many wires and cables in a laptop. It looked like a lot of work to refurbish, so nice work dude!
It's rather a standard issue sometimes. I find it hard to believe that MSI would of had those wires cross with the clips like that though. Looks like someone has been in the system before per the no hard drive mount for starters.
I like your restoration and very inspiring indeed. I love to tinker around and fix things and your videos gives me alot of inspiration and ideas
Thank you bro :) btw isn't hard to restore things, just need patience and time
Hey andrew keep up the good work ! I always enjoy watching your vids while eating, weird but its great !

Another Amazing video. I Love it
Big respect bro ❤️
you are very grateful brother you always Appreciate unlike others ...................
Thank youu bro :)
I love to see a future upgrade of this laptop
Wow, this has been really nostalgic for me. The first laptop I owned was MSI GX600 which has almost identical chassis. The hinges on these laptops broke really easily and in general it was much more fragile than one could expect (for a while I actually did the same thing as you did in the video - switched the hinge brackets to upside down - it helped a lot). In the end I rebuild the whole laptop from scratch using a donor laptop. This basically made me strip it down to each screw and creating one computer out of two. Unexpectedly, it was great fun. Sadly I sold the laptop afterwards, I now wish I kept it.
amazing work ❤️
Wow. Knocked it out of the park! That's a good looking machine!
HI,i see yours videos and i love it,im from Argentina and you are the best :)
Thank youuu :D
Super satisfying video - really speaks to my inner thrifty self
With every video you post, the English and video quality gets higher, nice job dude
Excellent video as always, the result was fantastic. I really like your videos, I know it's just a detail but you forgot to replace the thermalpads of the gpu memories. And this can lead to overheating problems.
It would be so cool if you could also do desktop restoration. Great job man

Another máster piece of restoration from that nice dude called Andrew, luv ur vids
Thank youu bro :D
Really impressive restoration. Was really interesting to see how you reinforce the broken plastic since broken plastic pieces have always been a bane of mine. The red colour is not exactly my cup of tea and neither is carbon fibre texture however this is entirely subjective. What I am thinking about, however, where carbon fibre vinyl ends by the reinforcement, doesn't it leave an annoying edge? I wonder if vinyl could be wrapped around the plastic ruler end to give it more "natural" rounder edge? but in that case, have to ensure the paint reaches underneath the ruler enough so such wrap wouldn't reveal original colour. Either way, great work and I enjoyed watching it!
Very nice restoration! The red and carbon fibre really make it look like an expensive limited edition gaming laptop from the 2000s!
Andrew never ceases to amaze me with his imagination, innovativeness, creativity, cleanliness, system & organization, and generally high level of abilities.
Que buen trabajo men, felicitaciones.
Cheers from indonesia ! this video so relaxing
You have nailed it bro ❤️❤️❤️
