  • The best thing about boxing right now is that people within the sport are starting to care less and less about the perfect 0 on their record. Sure they want it, but they can get bigger paychecks and profiles by taking the big fights early and often. UFC mastered this, which is why losses there don't matter as much as persona and ability do.

    • They bet it all on a bad strategy. Just like he fought Callum, Canelo went in there trying to bully, stayed in the pocket/ropes, decided to double down in the second half. he should've been slippery, counter punching, and focusing on not getting touched by the bigger bivol.

      @bsamexican@bsamexican7 ай бұрын
    • @@signkutter9218 Canelo's conditioning was probably the worst I've seen it ever during the Bivol fight. He looked gassed by the 4th or 5th round. He had really good success trading in the center of the ring. Once he gassed and tried to lean on the ropes to trade it was over.

      @kengxi@kengxi7 ай бұрын
    • @@signkutter9218 Canelo's biggest issue was stamina because he was doing well until he started gassing out, and was still getting shots off in later rounds when he had energy to throw combos. Also, keep in mind the only other modern day welterweight to become champ at 175 was 6'1 Hearns. So Canelo was taking a next level leap in weight combined with the most difficult style matchup and giving up 5 inches of height on top of dealing with injury.

  • Every fighter who comes up from the lower weight classes, reaches a weight that's beyond their capacity! Canelo not only found that limit to be light heavyweight, but also ran into a special fighter in Bivol, at that limit. So I don't read to much into that particular defeat. As for John Ryder, I think he's just massively underated! Just because the average casual hasn't heard of a particular fighter, doesn't mean they aren't any good. More people probably know KSI as a boxer, than half the top ten pound for pound list! Does that make KSI better than them? This ranking a fighter by their fame method, is just dumb.

  • Charlo is dominant at 154 because he has the body type that allows him to retain enough stamina and strength to weather the storm the holes in his boxing style creates for him. Charlo overextends, is off balance a lot, and resorts to aggression and power to pull him out of any of his close calls and losses at 154. Charlo is a very entertaining fighter at 154 because of his reliance on power and aggression to pull out victories in fights he is losing. Alvarez isn't bigger than Charlo...BUT...Alvarez has a much higher physical ability to absorb punishment, a much better technical method of mitigating power, and better defense and technique overall. Charlo's style is terrible for fighting Alvarez. If he doesn't alter his style drastically, i think the fight will end by the 8th round

Canelo has fought the likes of Mayweather, Bivol, GGG, Sergey Kovalev, Miguel Cotto, Trout, Erislandy Lara, Khan, and Shane Mosley! Wins and losses, that’s a lot of experience! I think he’s scared to go back to that old Tyson and as long as the undisputed title is still there and he doesn’t have it, he has something to aim for, a purpose.. That’s what I want to believe anyway, it’s easier to digest than he’s just straight out ducking him.. thoughts anyone? Bit off topic from the video.. I know.. sry

I think he knows Usyk outpoints him over 12 rounds, that's why he's avoiding the fight. Making as much money as he can against easy opponents whilst he still has the clout of world champion.

  • 15:55 I actually love this example of GGG vs brook. Bc Kell hit GGG with bigger shots than Canelo ever did. Quite literally one of the only wobbles in his entire career. I can not wait for this fight and seeing the plan Canelo has clearly lined up

  • Good fight but to be honest this will only be a big win if Charlo gets the victory. For Canelo, he'll be defeating a guy who moved up two weight classes and was inactive in over a year.

    • Funny how you say that, and most fans say that but when Bivol did it, they crowned canelo. Keep the same energy

    • Charlo is an undisputed champ in the p4p conversation, of course it'll be a significant win if Canelo beats him. And everyone knows Charlo isn't the naturally smaller guy, Canelo just chose to test himself moving up. Charlo is just taking a step in his footsteps except Canelo did it against career super middles and light heavies while giving up as much as 7 inches of height whereas Charlo has a chance at 1 fight undisputed against a fellow ex JR MW who's shorter than him with people saying he's looking worn. If Charlo can't get it done, it's because he's not on his p4p level. Point blank.

    • @@Jboxing1 Idk about robbery. Wild cards maybe, but I had it 6-6. Every time Charlo let his hands go, Castaño couldn't handle it. And everybody scoring the Harrison fight believed Charlo the victor. Check Boxrec for that. But I don't know if he can truly beat Cinnabon. This fight is honestly a 50/50

  • A couple things. First off people that have seen these guys together say that Charlo is actually the bigger guy. The weight is going to have nothing to do with this fight. They're basically the same size. The second thing is why are people so worried about Charlo going up and down when Canelo does it for his whole career? I don't think that Charlo is going to win it but weight is not going to be the deciding factor.

    • @@deleqtronica8733 I wouldn't lay a lot of money on it but I might put a little sneaky bet on that being true. I don't think that Canelo is going to overlook Charlo. If he comes in there with the same attitude he had against Bivol and tries to do that punching the arms technique then I think you're right. I don't think he's going to come in like that though. It might be a fun fight.

Charlo is inactive.. canelo may be showing slowing down but i dont see him slowing down this fight. I see charlo getting pressured in the first 5 rounds survive couple more then getting knocked out, or tkod.. canelo can pressure him without throwing.. i see charlo tiring later and not canelo..
