Krokem Outdoors Swag! teespring.com/krokemoutdoors
Thank you so much for the tips, you did great!!
my overconfidence is at peak level right now
I have wrapped probably 250 vehicles in the past 10 years. I'd hire you right now! Great job for the first time!!! Very impressed!
I like to see people starting to take control of their own situations, and learning new things. Anything you learn helps you out in the long run, even if you don't wrap another vehicle. Keep on living free brother!!
Fr! But I’d probably pay someone to do it. No way I’d risk messing up on a nice truck like that!
Doesn't hurt to learn a trade where you make 170k year either.
@@Proteanlife what trade is that bro? I’ve done concrete and plastering but never heard of it paying 170k a year you must be in the union or a super
@@FrankyCpunishmentSTYLE having your own business
“The only other experience I have wrapping involves a Trojan Latex and a Korean Sausage” 🤣🤣🤣 what a great opening.
For your first go around I think you did a great job 👍
@primal_outdoors _-_camping_and_overlanding thanks Jason. I’m excited to see what Sasquatch is in for 😉👍🍻

Definitely an Amazing Job. Very Nice.👍
My patient is only good for wrapping the gas cap😂, great video and great job👍
I am all about detail and not being rushed. This was so satisfying.
Experienced Vinyl Wrapper here. You did a spot-on job! The knifeless trick (to cut material in order to tuck into corners) is used among pros and newbies alike; mostly newbies rather than pros since pros take the material-expenditure cost more into consideration from an operational perspective; but it is an all around solid method to ensure that no paint is nicked. You may already possibly know by now, but research on how to perform inlays. It is a really useful technique that allows to make sense of more complicated objects and shapes. Hell, I've seen bumpers that look like they can be done in 1-piece but in reality, it's all inlay galore! (I'm looking at you 2012 Nissan Versa). all in all, to all those watching this, keep at it. You will frustrate yourself at first but that means you're putting yourself out there and putting in the work. Keep going!
only thing I see that sticks out to me is he changes the orientation of the film... but even experienced wrappers miss that step..
@@ckrampen22 why does that matter
@@Burner83125 with certain films you will be able to tell the difference in different lighting… like with a silver or grey, it will look off a shade or two but it’s because how the films are produced and how the light reflex them. Hard to explain without seeing it in person…. Most wrap vinyls have arrows on the backer paper so you make sure you’re applying the same orientation. Doesn’t matter if arrow is pointing up down left or right, just as long as it’s the same on every panel you apply.
Hey dude I’m curious where you work? Would like to talk to you about the car wrapping business.
Love it!
Thank god someone put up a POV video on wrapping.
Dang, what a great job! and don't worry about the hours! its the LEARNING CURVE and from now on will be an easy ride for you! maybe next time will be 15 hours or less! Its the LEARNING CURVE! but you went up the hill which most people won't! so be very PROUD of yoruself!
You did great work for someone who never did this. You saved a bunch of money and knowledge you gained I think it was worth it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hands down best explanation from a diy’er I’ve seen. Very well done video. Not to much talking and good choice of music. You did a great job with filming and editing also.
Looks great and I love the color personally. Kudos to you for taking a project like this on.
That came out great overall. I appreciate you showing your mistakes too so when I give it a shot in a couple years I’ll be that much more prepared.
Good job man! That’s a big job to tackle for a first timer. Been contemplating doing it myself as well, but I used to install the clear film on the front of vehicles for rock chips so I do have that going for me.
Very nice work! The first go at anything is always a learning experience. Thank you for the honest and transparent testimony. New sub... hope to see more vids like this. Well done!!!
Man that is a big vehicle to wrap. I've been looking to do it myself as well so I appreciate and am inspired by this video. Looks great. Love the color.
Good job! Can’t wait to see how it holds up. Keep us updated.
Man, I think you did a fabulous job with that! After watching you, I feel like I can do my Tundra, too. Thank you for posting this!
Having someone do their own wrap without prior experience is great and gives me the spark of confidence to do my sprinter van/camper conversion, Great Job !
It takes patience, but is doable! 👍
Wow, very impressive that you did this yourself. Looks great.
Excellent job for your first time Some great learning along the way 👌🏻
Great video. Very useful, very honest and given me the confidence to try to wrap my own vehicle! Thanks! Alan in the UK
You should be proud of yourself man. Thank you for sharing all the details.
LOVE ..The color vinyl you pick "army green "...1st time wrapping Amazing job...cant wait to see the next color ....just susceptible when I seen your video!🤟👊
bro its looks great! big tundra fan as well! I'm looking to do my first wrap to, and you inspired me with confidence, especially learning from what you'd do better next time..thnx man🙌
That's dedication for being a 1st timer taking on a project like this. Great job and I like this green over the trd pro green. Also thanks for the shirt!
I've been wanting to wrap my 2013 Tundra. Thank you for this video.
By far the best KZhead video I have ever watched thank you and great job
I love this guy I’m only 3 min in and he’s got the most subtle jokes 🤣
Thumbs right at the beginning of the vid for just even attempting to do this! Love the videos, I created my own arcade machine cabinet and I have say wrapping it was my biggest challenge. 💪🏻
Terrific video!! The best by far. You went into detail that hasn’t been covered by anyone I have seen so far. I’m thinking about doing this to my car
Nice job. I just got my ray10's put on great choice.
Great video. I'm considering wrapping my 2019 TRD Pro. This helps a lot!
Brother the truck looks GREAT. Love the color and love that you kept the grille and bumper all black.
Thanks for going over the Tundra shaping on the tailgate
Nice work for a first timer. Brave soul indeed!
Wow, nice work. Love this color.
Very informative video! I think you did a great job! It looks really good and I love your colour choice! I kinda want to do this too!
Se ve muy bien! 👍 great video! Planning to do it by myself so I will save this video and learn a little bit of what you did...again great job! It looks awesome
Love the color choice
You did awesome being the first time wrapping!! Nice Tundra!
Nice project and well detailed explaining Thanks
Nice work Edward! You made it look easier than I thought it would be. I've been wanting to wrap my Excursion for a while. You have inspired me,. I may even tackle it myself. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up with you, Jason Darrah, and the other adventures you all have been seen traveling with. I live in Baker City and have done a fair amount of exploring in the area, some short videos,. The goal is to start filming/producing this spring with full-length shows. I also have plans for several other Adventure Travel/Overlanding adventures. Hope to see you out there someday, can't miss my big ole Excursion. Several new upgrades since those older videos on my channel. if you guys are ever planning to come up this way give me a shout, lets plan a trip! We have some INCREDIBLE mountain ranges, old Gold Mines, and High desert stuff to explore. I'm back in the studio now and will be cranking out some videos from the area with footage I've been sitting on TOO long!
Great work man! Two thumbs up! I'm planning on wrapping my Honda Del Sol and my Kawi ZX6R!
Always enjoy watching you try new things. Keep up the great work. I’ve been a sub for a while and watching you and your family go and grow ha been an amazing journey. Keep it up sir.
Wow what a hard and great job on truck wrapping
good points, transparent on the flaws. good tips
I learned from this video... I like the current Magnetic Gray color of my Tundra.
Nice work man. looks great, giving me some inspiration to wrap my Silverado
I am a Dip fan but what you did here is absolute Awesome…she looks stunning and you’re right the more you do it the less mistake you’ll make the the better result you’ll get. Keep the contents coming my bro 👍🏽👍🏽🤙🏽
Debating wrapping my Tacoma. This video was helpful. Even with those mistakes, overall looks great, colors are awesome. Good job.
Wow looks beautiful
Brother, you have a bass ass truck outstanding video!!! I appreciate your can do attitude.
Nice work brother, thanks for sharing 👍
I wrapped the tailgate of my Tacoma. It's very time consuming work. You did very good for your first time. I used 3M VViVid with the wet method which seemed to work pretty well. It seemed that keeping the tailgate wet made the vinyl easier to manipulate. Well done.
Great job! Looks like a professional job
Your so talented from start to finish on all that you touch ..... peace ✌
Congrats on a job well done!
Looks great. That color is awesome
Have to say, you did an awesome job.
Super clean. Wish I had the patience to do that
Great job 👏
First time watching one of your videos. I just wanted to tell you the video was well done. Enjoyed watching. Thanks
Thank you! I am gonna do it now!!!!
Good video man, I don't plan on wrapping my truck right now, but I am considering wrapping my iKamper, so this is a good reference.
loved the video, and humor. keep it up!
Extreme amount of patience and attention to detail. Definitely will pay off as a new Dad. Looks good, I don’t think I could do it, when I built plastic models as a kid my fingers would be stuck together as I rushed through the build. I’d be proud of your first try, if I was to try this I know who to contact for help.😝
You did awesome buddy 👏
You did good. Wrapping it just to save original paint and for wrap to get destroyed on the roads is all good.
Great job! Color looks good on your truck
Good job. That flat army green is sick
yah this is a good job for sure at first go .... i just bought a lifted jeep 4dr wrangler im going to either raptor line it or do this so its good to know its not that difficult just prep.... and slow is pro..... i love the job you did
Awesome job
Trojan latex on a korean sausage hahahaha
LOL
Spicy 🌶
I caught that but was to bashful to say anything, lol
LOL
Is that what he said? 😀😀😂
Nice work and feedback brother! I just ordered KPMF Satin Stealth Tundra for my 2020 TRDOR 4Runner. I'll definitely be ordering some of the tools you recommended
Looks good! Well done. Keep us post how long it holds up and issues along the way please. Again great job.
Excellent video and comments.
Big project. Props my man. Looks great 👍
That came out good!
Edward just now getting a chance to watch this. I knew you were planning on it we chatted about it before. Kicking back with a drink and watching, thanks. And my thoughts and prayers are with you and Katie as baby gets ready to meet the world!
@brett_tundra_special_ops thank you Sir! I think the chat helped a lot
🤙🏻 thanks for the honesty!
So rad. Nice job
Well done Edward, I have bean thinking about doing this for over a year to my tundra, but I have done so much research and watched so many videos that I know I have to get my head in the right space to take on a project like this. Great job man looks great for your first wrap
@adventure_outline I would definitely recommend setting aside enough time for something like this. Because I had to make constant adjustments, it took a lot of time. But if you get the hang of it quickly, it may take you much less.
@@KrokemOutdoors thanks 👍👍
Awesome job! Thanks
I could see your time speeding up as you got more experience. I definitely want to try this on my tundra.
Awesome pickup.🤌🤙
I wrapped my dads tundra a few months back... biggest issue I had was with that antenna as well I have to add a small patch as well. The gap between the rear cab and bed also gave me an issue but I moved the vinyl as far back as possible. It helps that both your truck and my dads are originally black so it’s not noticeable right away. My recommendation is to stretch the material slightly and use one full piece per door instead of making that seam. Good job though !
Excellent job bro.
Awesome Edward,,,you should be proud of yourself,,,thinking of doing my old F150,,,,👍👍🍻
Awesome job.
Great job, awesome color
Great job brother.
Totally impressed. You gave it to us real! I love the color. I would love to understand how long the wrap will last and what is required to keep looking clean?
mad skills!
Dude well done!! Your rig is top notch!!
Great video Edward...that was truly interesting, and I am *thoroughly* impressed by how well this came out. The hard-earned wisdom you've kindly shared here confirms what I've always suspected: I would never ever have the coordination and patience to wrap my car. Sheets of anything somehow turn into wild, unmanageable living creatures in my hands, LOL. Fantastic job, on the wrap, and on the video.
@softroadingthewest haha oh I’ve had vinyl origami plenty of times during this project. I ended up throwing some good material away as a result. Let’s get a snow trip in soon 👍
@@KrokemOutdoors For sure!
Good job for first time. I have a Tacoma so I’m going to try it. Why not !
Super ambitious. Great job!
