  • I've been using my c615 and I'm going to finally upgrade the webcam and get a Blue Yeti. The picture is much sharper on the c920. Now they have the newer c922... which is available at the BestBuy.... Logitech has hicked all the prices because of demand because of Covid. Thanks for the comparison video it was really helpful. :)

  • Hello from the future (08/22/2019). I own and use the c615 constantly for everything including outside to monitor my property, and it is a great camera for the price range. I have had it for several years now and it has not skipped a beat. It handles the weather good too. What I really wanted to say is that the next time you do a review like this you cannot do a side by side. You are getting two different perspectives ( images slightly shifted to one side or the other ) allowing lights from behind you to be seen especially green screen videos.I'm not sure of the c290 but the c615 has zoom and tilt features. Still it was a very good informative video!

    • @@drewtalks as a quick follow up... I have been using the C615 for a few days and its actually very good. The internal mic isn't bad as a last resort either. One thing to note about your advice being spot on, for those with multiple monitors or obsessed with clean cable management, the cord on the C615 isn't very long at all! Spot on with that little nugget of wisdom.

  • Hey! I just started using the C525, debating if i should get another one or if i should go with an upgraded one? Check out some of my live streams and my quality slowly gets better, however the C525 is the most recent one and i thought it did a great job. Should i get another c525 and just move one closer to me and the other one for the drumset? Or should i just go with a better camera and record the whole room?

  • the sound is much better(at least the settings he was using) for c615 but the picture is miles better on 920 and if you think now, I really recommend an eye test asap

  • I see this is an older video but I am hoping you are still reading comments, I have the C615 and need to use it offline for teaching with small materials. What software can I use to display fullscreen (no internet)? The Logitech download just shows in a very small, non-expandable window.

    • if your on a PC just use the "camera" tool that comes included in windows. Switch it to video and hit record

    • I agree the mono C615 sounds better than the stereo C920. This may be due to something called phase cancellation, prevalent in stereo sound. In phase cancellation the two signals from the two microphones arrive at the listener by a slightly different path length and potentially out of phase, so that a peak from one mic arrives with a trough from the other mic - cancelling each other out. This raises the question Is stereo desirable for the spoken voice?

  • Hi.. I really enjoy your video. You really broke it down. I bought the c615... I'm going to return it. I do like the C920 from your video review. Much better upgrade. I notice your video is 2017.. Is there a better-updated one to get? One feature that is important for me. I like to Livestream in dim lights and record videos too in dim lights. I need something that will still give that good HD clarity. Any suggestions? Thank you so much.

    • There is a newer model but not worth the upgrade IMO they just added software and some small improvements unless the price is similar

    • It is difficult to say. Here: 0:00, the quality of the C615 is better However, here: 2:13, the picture of the C920 is better So, I guess if you use normal lighting and automatic settings, then the C920 seems better for me. For the green screen and the artificial lights, then the C615 looks better.

  • the c920 has the best picture he even states that several times but its about 20 dollars more these days. much better tho and worth the money. i even have c615 and am upgrading shortly to the c920

  • I have the C615 webcam and I am trying to start twitch streaming for charity but as soon as I turn on my ring light I get horizontal banding on the webcam image, and I can't find a way to fix it, can I please get some help for this?

    • You may want to wrap the light in white shirt or something to diffuse the glare

  • I bought two Logitech C920's one one year, it was garbage, then a year later bought another, it was garbage. 6 months later my brother bought me one, it was garbage. I Had been using the Microsoft lifecam that I bought in 2010, and ity was GREAT, and I used it a lot for recording acoustic guitar and singing. But the wires got pulled out of the back of it four years ago, and I have not had a webcam since, that worked anyway, as the Logitech souonds like a tinny sardine crying for help get me ouot of this can. The guitar always sounded underwater. NOTHING would fix that, The company wanted nothing to do with me, nor their product. You buy it you are the owner that's it. If all you do is talk, it might be ok, but even the video and picture quality was no where near the Microsoft. I am convinced all the good reviews are just LOgitech people, , . If someone has a guitar and they want decent playback of what you are playing, DON'T get a Logitech web cam
