Headed in the right direction for sure but I wouldn't say we're flush at every position. However, we should be able to pick up a big piece at forward in the coming draft and be in good position to make a key FA signing or a trade when the time is right.
I actually disagree that Montreal fans are impatient. We were told for years that the fans would never support and rebuild, and this was wrong. The fans aren't impatient; they want to see a winner built the right way. It's only media people who think everyone is impatient.
Well said
Yes because the media is impatient
Great episode Amy and Jason I totally agree with your assessment of Habs. Trade deadline I don’t. Expect anything by Friday. I think habs big moves will be draft and offseason.
no one wants jake allen with his stats and play cause of the issue that kent hughes created or if they would like him not at the price he wants.
Exactly. KH had said, when asked, he didn't see any issue having 3 goalies. Yet here we are...and it has hurt all 3 of them. Thanks for nothing, KH.
but no all stars no high end talent no show stopper?
Hughes said in a presser that we didn't need an elite forward-so there's always that. haha ..Kent Hughes being Kent Hughes.
get rid of savard , armia, gallagher, devorak, allen premaue, mathison, anderson, gulie, harris, kovachevic & get a captain in here
Boy I'm glad you're not the GM!
The "three-headed monster" thing is really getting old. People use terms like this because other people do. Before you know it, no one will mention the three goalies without using this term. I wish they would stop using so many cliches and "clever" terms that don't add anything.
Patience we QUICKLY flipped first round picks for Dach and Newhook. Patience means young players NOT getting the ice time they need so Patience is killing the progress.Laval is not a good place for anyone to grow because they are one of the worst AHL teams when comes to playing responsible hockey they play very sloppy hockey. Management needs to decide where each player/prospect fits into the bigger picture and if not top 6 they better have a role or move them.
Have you watched the Canadiens? That's some 'sloppy hockey' they've been playing.
@@She_26Have you watched them? I don't think so. Habs are very typical of a young rebuilding team. They are inconsistent with some good games and some bad games. Overall they have been competitive and actually had some very good spurts of play where they showed a lot of potential. You can choose to focus on the negatives instead if you want.but I see it differently
@@albertvanular433 I'm focusing on what I see. So yes, we do see it differently, and I'm fine with that. PS. I don't blame the team, I blame the coaching.
lets be real though Monahan allowed this too happen. if he choose to go elsewhere or wanted more money or whatever we wouldn't have this discussion so the habs got lucky, real lucky.
What are you talking about?? Luck has absolutely nothing to do with it. As Jason Bukala and numerous other hockey pundits have said previously, the Monahan trade at both ends - coming and going - was a brilliant piece of asset management by Kent Hughes. He made a deal with Monahan (who had very limited value because of his ongoing injury issues) at the end of last season. - that if Mony re - signed again with Montreal then he would trade him to a contender at TDL providing he remained healthy. That's what happened. The only luck - if you want to call it that - is that Monahan managed to stay healthy this year. As far the contract he signed with Montreal again, that made the most sense since he had to properly rebuilt his value after another injury filled season last year and Montreal could offer him that chance whereas many other teams could not or would not make the same offer. It wasn't lucky that Monahan signed another year with the Habs - it was the logical thing for him to do so in order for him to be with a team that could give him another chance to play and prove to people he could stay healthy. Nothing to do with luck - just straight 100% logic and it worked out properly the way it was intended to
spent way too much time and effort but thank you @@albertvanular433
