    • +pauljackowacko552 The focus (at least so far) hase been more about Saitama's struggle with being accepted as a hero by the public, by other heroes, and by the hero agency. Also his struggle to climb the ranks and become an S rank hero lol. I think that's one thing that sets it apart from a lot of other animes and shounens. It isn't a typical anime where the main character starts off relatively weak or average and the plot is built around him becoming stronger and stronger. Also, there have been a lot of parts in the anime so far where it was pretty clear Tomohiro Suzuki is blatantly poking fun at other animes, so much so that you could say it was parody. For example, in the first episode when we see the first villain, Saitama says he's just a hero for fun and the villain says "That's it? There's no backstory or anything" and proceeds to tell Saitama his own backstory to which Saitama quickly gets bored. I thought perhaps this was parody of some of the main characters/main villains in other anime having obscure/complex stories that aren't fully revealed until far later on in the series. Another example is just some of the early fights such as Saitama vs Genos. When you look at how hyper/epic the fight is, you realize that most fights of such proportions where the main character(s) are that strong don't take place until very late into other animes.

(Visual example: | | | | | becomes | - | - | - | - | - (| = Frame. - = interpolated frame)) Then if the video is 24fps it becomes 48fps because the frames are doubled.     • I'm doing this right now. Was really fat a year ago, lost some weight because of diet, but now I'm so fucking motivated to beat the Saitama Challange! Currently at 6K running _every_ day. (nearly, 6/7days). 80 squats, 60 sit ups and 20 push ups (sadly arms are still very weak).

That is a story about purpose and passion, without limits humans lose all reason to exist, it's weird that without any effort and risk out lives are absolutely nothing, we need challenges not only to exist but for make our existence worthy.
