Install Windows 11 on Anything!!!

This video will show you how to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware. This does not just include fresh installs but can be upgraded from Windows 10 as well. I upgrade a system that fails all the controversial hardware requirements. It doesn't support TPM, UEFI, or have a CPU on the approved list and it runs great.

  • Windows terminal missing is actually quite common with in-place upgrades, even on supported hardware, I've got a 3950x system that upgraded itself to windows 11 Pro and windows terminal did not work. Remember, if you are fine with wiping everything out, or if you have a boot drive, and a data drive, you can generally just do a fresh install windows 11 from an un-modified ISO, as long as your computer has 2 threads, 4GB of RAM, and i think an 80GB HDD? I have windows 11 on an IBM Thinkpad X60 Tablet which originally shipped with Windows XP, but because it has an early 64 bit Core Duo with 4GB of RAM(only 3GB usable) windows 11 just installed without issue, now getting drivers to work was harder than expected, normally XP drivers just worked in windows 10, but with windows 11 i had some issues with the pen-touch screen and a few other things that i dont remember off the top of my head

There were fixes for this issue but it required some specific software booted from usb to scan the disk and reset the flag on the drive. • The question many of us have and have yet to see anyone really explain it is what exactly makes Windows 11 so much better than Windows 10 that we should even bother upgrading? It requires all this BS just to install it and all its other BS hardware requirements and from what I have seen does not really offer anything substantial to justify going through the pain to upgrade! Seems to me the reason no one is doing a side by side comparison is because there really isnt one! So I ask you CyberCPU Tech, what the hell is so damn special with Windows 11 that would compel me to suffer the installation of it?

    • Windows 11 is much better than Windows 10 for the only reason that it has an expiry date of 2031 while Windows 10 will expire in 2025. That is why one should change, unless you are keen to replace computers that work well just to follow the last computer trend. Besides everything that runs on Windows 10 will run on 11, just the desktop enviroment is different, as like many linux distros differ one from another.

    • @@CyberCPU Really?! When I bought a Win laptop - just for the odd time I'd need Windows - it took me two days to remove bloat and remove their "phone home" functionality. Then it tried to push an "update" on it which the poor 2GB/32GB machine couldn't swallow. In the meantime it's COMPLETELY eaten the 10 - 12 gigs it came with (after clearing it out) for no apparent reason. I'd have to hack the thing to keep it functional. Now it starts up with some blue screen, "persuading" me to update. But I've given up on it. I got my Linux machine, fired it up and that was basically it. Just a few apt's to get my beloved apps back. Updating is done while I'm working - and I can postpone it whenever I want. My wifes corporate laptop though FORCED her to upgrade. We left it for 24h, but it never revived. She had to get back to work (1.5h commute one way) to get a fresh one - in the height of the pandemic (sic!) So at my home, Windows track record of "being easy to use" - let alone "being reliable" - is pretty bleak.

      @HansBezemer@HansBezemer2 жыл бұрын
    • @@HansBezemer What you probably experienced with the way Windows handles memory is reserved memory. When you open an application that application obviously takes memory. Then when you close the application Windows leaves that application in memory and marks it reserved. This is so if you open the same program again it doesn't have to put the program in memory again. If that memory is needed for something else then Windows releases it. It's actually a pretty ingenious system. I explained it in my videos about sysmain a while back.

And now they're threatening to fill your screen with watermarks in case your system is not compatible. They can shove their threats up where they see fit. How much does it cost to get a compatible PC? W're talking about a processor, mobo and memory (if you decide to keep your other parts). And let's not mention the price of the license, because the win10 license is tied to your actual hardware, and new hardare means a new license key. So I'll stick to my good old reliable win 10. 😁😁
