😊 Pratim Vas u otkrivanju Dimasha.

  • This was Dimash's idea, based on the fact that he keeps his private life very...quiet, yet people still make-up stuff about him. He was tipping his hat to Michael Jackson and having a bit of fun. It's ok to prefer his other works - that's the nice thing about his music - something for everyone. Thank-you for your honest reaction and thoughts.

    • It is not true that he thought up the topic. I watched an interview in which he was asked if the subject of the video was his idea, but he did not answer immediately. In the end, after thinking it over, he said that in the end everything had to be confirmed by him. So he avoided a direct answer.

      @tungavidya@tungavidyaАй бұрын
    • That he avoided a direct answer I have no doubt, but in the mv he even takes credit for the idea, so I am more inclined to believe those that said it was his idea. @@tungavidya

  • This is my absolute favourite Dimash song so far, the mix of blues and rock is perfect. Yet again his movie type music video is inspired and a different genre yet again from everything that's gone before. His sheer versatility constantly amazes me, he's always testing himself in different styles of music, never allowing himself to sit on his laurels and expect everything to come to him. I could never go back to listening to artists who stay within their comfort zone and never change genre and go on to sound exactly the same song after song.

• It seems to me that Dimash's intention was to show how the life of someone famous is in a certain way vampirizing and limiting for those who achieve fame... how someone can be with so many people and at the same time lonely... but congratulations on sincerity from your comments, this is what I expect from a reaction video! 👏👏👏👏

Still I admire quality of this MV in all of it aspects and understand why it is so liked! Dimash is so talented that everything he does has highest possible level. And you can see he had a lot of fun doing this MV! Of course he has to address also those generations too who never heard opera or who´s level in reactions is mainly silly face/talk and widely open mouth. Commercial? This is the world we live in and are used to.... Dimash does adverts in China for example - this way he can finance his creations and pay for his team - hardly his free choice otherwise... Fortunately we have now technical resources to enjoy his work widely and choose what of it is close to our hearts.💖

  • Thank you, dear friend, for your sincere reaction! Admit it, this genre from Dimash was unexpected for you)) This is the essence of Dimash as an artist, he is always different, unpredictable, an experimenter. Many Dears idealize Dimash. He makes fun of this, says that he is an ordinary person with his own advantages and disadvantages)) I think, metaphorically, Dimash wants to show that he is not an angel)) And you must agree, the rock + blues performed by him are magnificent. Peace and goodness to you!

  • He does this perform this live, minus the vampire. The thing about Dimash is he doesn't stay in one lane. He does rap, dance, etc. He also plays characters. The interesting thing about this story, is that it seems like a dream. The story is that his character is a vampire, and thus is accursed. However, ultimately falls in love with the reporter, and it's the hardest thing he's ever had to do, but he leaves her be, as a human. So this dark figure, though not a "good guy" does a good thing. A lot of people who watch his work get confused at first. They kinda know DImash as a kind, generous person who sings like and angel. But he's so much more. If you follow him further, he has science fiction, super spy, romance, rap and dance. He does what he wants, and pursues his art. On the other hand, don't worry, he does something for everyone. He'll always do some opera, some folk, rock, etc. Just stick around.

  • Thanks for your reaction!👍 * The main idea of the video belongs to Dimash and the director of the video, Galym Asylov: “The world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist he has chosen goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?..”. The girl’s vivid imagination suggests the mysterious image of the main character and immerses her in a mystical story. “Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Little is known about his personal life; he does not often appear in the media and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “bookish”, fictional image,” the director shared.

  • Fortunately in this world, we don't all have the same opinions and the same tastes otherwise life would lack flavor. Personnaly, I like this video clip which I find perfect as well as Dimash's voice and his acting. I find it respectful to put in the end credits the names of all the people involved in this cinematographic work. The work put into creating the atmosphere, the lighting, the choreography that matches the rhythm of the music, the makeup, his outfit... and the sensuality without vulgarity, all of that impresses me. I am not an English speaker, however I had no difficulty reading the title of the newspaper without pause. I find that here too, the clip is well done because the character is in a moving car at night and it is logical that the page of the newspaper is lit then in the shade then lit again depending on where the car is located. It must be said that I am sitting in front of a screen of reasonable size and attentive to details. We don't know what happened in the end. Some people believe the young woman was bitten because of the shadows seen on her skin at the end of the video. I think that these are only the shadows of the raindrops and that the character played by Dimash would not have bitten the woman he is in love with, that he resisted. Unless his "slice of heaven" represents the moment when he drinks the blood of his love. Who knows? Dimash and the director could tell us but it's good to leave some mystery for the viewer's imagination.

  • I think it is very tongue in cheek. He has a wicked sense of humour, and there have been various versions by Dears of what the video is about. He is extremely private in his private life, and the reporter was on her way to interview him...fell asleep and dreamed the whole thing??? Who knows, but Dimash what the message is..we all interpreted in different ways. Maybe it shows how alone he sometimes feels..even when surrounded by people who may not always have his best interests at heart..just my musings... Thankyou for your reaction.

  • Dimash premiered this song live at his Dec 2023 Hong Kong concert. There are many fancams of the performance. It was a big surprise as this is the first time he has sung a blues/r&b/gospel/rock combo style and composed by him. The fans loved it. Great performance looking a lot like Elvis. 😅 The Mv story is about a reporter invited to interview him at his home but she falls asleep in the car and dreams she meets Dimash as a vampire in a story like Bram Stker's Dracula. Yes you can see the newspaper text clearly if you see the video on a larger screen as it is shot in 4k. It is stunningly shot and is very artistic. A big screen tv is best with any of Dimash's MVs to fully enjoy the cinematography. All are works of art. Golden MV has a serious message and so do Okay and Story of One Sky but others are art pieces with stories attached such as Akkuym which is about love lost and then Be With Me, a cheeky irreverent story about a ne'er do well who flits from woman to woman and only cares about himself. Dimash acts as the faithless guy and in the rap section explicitly tells women to beware of a faithless character like him. Love the message in the story and song which is told in a funny over the top style. He has a great sense of humor and loves to play different types of characters in his films. On stage he sings and dances to Be With Me and other songs. Concerts need a wide variety of styles along with his serious songs. Concerts are over 2 1/2 hrs or more. Can't be serious all that time so he needs a wide repertoire.

  • Let's put it this way....Dimash has range....on so many levels. He's masters whatever he sets his sights on. This video is obviously influenced by western tastes. Spending time in LA undoubtedly has helped him expand his repertoire. It's not a complete change written I stone...it's just part of his artistic exploration. I always worry when he changes toward a more commercial bent...but I realize that's not where he lives primarily. I respect his attempt at different styles....but I'm like you...I don't want him commercialized. He's better than that. We don't want the typical. We don't want all the darkness and sexuality we get from everywhere else. The young people raised on the over produced mediocre and sensationalized music product vs real music in its purity. However....us females cannot resist this vampire...he can bite me anytime. Lol Dimash is an extremely handsome and compelling leading man...good or bad. Lets face it. He's a romantic and we love it. The MJ thing is innate. From a small child he identified musically with him. He simply can't help it. But he definitely has his own flavor also. We all learn from the world around us. Thank you for your honest reaction. It was respectful and real and that's all we ask. You know his greatness. Honest critique is valuable and any artist or performer worth their salt will greatly appreciate it.

  • Dimash is an excellent actor, as well as a screenwriter. He is studying cinematography. He likes to play different roles in his videos, such as in Be With Me, he played a cocky upstart, pretty much the opposite of his own personality and character. Here he decided to conceive a little story about a vampire and play him. In The Story of One Sky, he played the soldier fighting the dictator. He has many other ways of expressing himself, besides singing. He is definitely not just a great singer, even not just a musician. If you don't like vampire movies, it's understandable. But I do think for that kind of thing, it was well done, and his singing was magnificent. Dimash has always done pop, commercial songs, along with his operatic showstoppers and Kazakh folk music. He's not going to change to a different style, he just loves to experiment & and wants to avoid being pigeonholed. I agree that they should have showed the headline just a little bit longer. Many just want to hear him sing, but many also want to delve into his other artistic pursuits. My own view on it is that he is a genius, and I like to investigate everything a genius does, even if I'm not into that particular thing. But in my case, I do kinda like vampire movies!🧛‍♂️y😉

I think Dimash just had a lot of fun here, also every now and then he would do a commercial song that might give him a chance for a wider market and new audience. • His music videos, when he and his team have full control, always have so much in them that you can’t catch it on a single viewing. I’ve seen other reactors go off into 30 minute plus breakdowns on the various lighting and framing choices throughout each video. This one, for me, was very much “what if Michael Jackson and/or Meatloaf had done ‘Interview with a Vampire’?” He premiered this song during a live concert and at the time it just seemed like a nice love song - but then MV and the Vampire elements puts a very different meaning to the lyrics. One final side note, it’s worth pointing out the “general producer” credit to Dimash’s father Kanat.

  • Dimash likes doing elaborate music videos that make you question things. If you heard the song before, that means you probably watched the fancam footage from Hong Kong. He's only performed it that one time so far. I had a feeling you weren't going to like the video, even if you did like the song. Dimash likes making story oriented videos when it's not a live performance. Most artists these days do not do story music videos. Thank you for your honest opinion.

  • It is an original song composed by Dimash. There were three different opportunities to read the headline on the paper. The production company here was DimashAli Creative Center which is Dimash's own production company. Dimash premiered the song In a live concert but he was part of the creative team that conceptualized the idea for this video. Many reactors have mentioned that it harkens back to Michael Jackson's Thriller in The overall mood of the video.

  • Please understand for Dimash to become a GLOBAL artist, he needs to put 'mainstream songs' out as well as his other works..especially to capture the West...I personally love everything he does, especially his songs done in Chinese..but I have seen many reactors turn away from this incredible talented man just because he was not singing in ENGLISH..there you go...

    • Yes, unfortunately Dimash is also slowly commercializing, which means that he is changing his tactics to remain independent. It will be interesting to see where this takes him. He will surely lose some of his audience to gain a new one.

    • @@tungavidya If something is of quality, it doesn't matter if it's commercialized or not. Commercial and bad are not always synonyms. I don't listen to most popular music nowadays but this I adore. The music and the vocals are the main thing for me, but I enjoy the movie as well, it is really well done and amusing. Not only that, this is absolutely not new to Dimash. He composed and performed very light pop songs ever since his teenage years, Like My Beauty, My Star , Sweet Memories or Give me Your Love. This is a by far more sophisticated and complex work in my opinion.

      @dimashfan6828@dimashfan6828Ай бұрын
    • @@dimashfan6828 I agree, this is still more on the commercial side but much more complex than his early pop work which was more "euro pop" it also shows how much his English has improved.

So unless you saw the fancam of this performance, I don't know how it's possible you know the song. Anyway, I really love the video, I love dark fantasy and dark humor, but as always, I loved the live performance even more. I suggest you to watch the performance. • 👉 Dimash does it again and again. He surprises us every time. I love his versatility and creativity, his wonderful voice. It doesn't fit into any box and I love that. It never gets boring. I like the moment in the video when he smiles sensually cheeky at us, his dears, as if to say: 'Look at me and scream and rage.' I'm going to seduce this pretty blonde now... because I can! ' The two voices that come out of the scratchy gramophone are the original recordings of the LAKME flower duet from 1915 with two Russian sopranos (Maria Mikhailova (1864-1943) (soprano, interpreting Lakmé) and Antonina Panina (1870-1941) (mezzo-soprano, interpreting Mallika) - kzhead.info/sun/bJWhXbOXb2KQpHA/bejne.html In the Dimash News it is written: On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye. The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story. “Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director. Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist. The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame. The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon. “Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. • Your initial comment was right on point. This mini-movie IS Commercial. it is targeted at a specific audience, a predominantly 'Western' commercial audience. An audience { mostly younger than us! } who are familiar with & delight in identifying all the elements and 'nods & winks' he gives to previous artists/ productions/ movies / songs on this theme. And Dimash has a lot of fun with it! His hair style amd clothing nod to MJ , and many 'horror' elements in the Thriller MV as well as other vampire theme works. Particularly the "Interview With A Vampire" movie. It becomes a Love Song and leaves the question in the storyline hanging; Was it all a dream or real? Does he let he go free? Leave without making her one of his 'possessed' Vampire Brides? In the hope that his love is reciprocated and she will return to him - of her own free will? If she does.. will this be his 'Salvation'? His pathway out of the dark side and his 'Gateway To Heaven'? Or, will he succumb to his nature and simply drawn her into the dark side? Essentially - It is our age old fascination with 'the battle between good and evil'. Will LOVE Win in the end?! 😄😍 [ * As to your frustration with having to pause and go back to read the headline I GET that! But that's what this is 'tailored' to. What this target audience do - are accustomed to. They Stop- Pause - Rewind - Replay - Reflect.] 😊

  • Initially I was repelled by the vampire theme because a vampire is so totally opposite of the sweet Dimash I have come to marvel over and love. Over time I have come to appreciate the perfection in every aspect of the production by listening to film directors, music producers, videographers, and more comment on the mv. I totally understand your comments and bewilderment and dislike of certain aspects of this. I can relate to your sentiments. And I have come to love this - for the perfection. I still don’t like vampires. They are evil predators who use others unkindly, they are not loving. They frighten and intimidate in darkness. They are on the dark side. I prefer the light. ❤❤❤ As always, thank you for your reaction.

  • And the song is about love and the importance of a woman in a man's world. There is a direct reference to the James Brown song "It's a Man's World." There is also a hint here of the Hindu goddess of death Kali, who, by the way, destroys evil in order to protect the innocent... That is, this is quite a multi-layered philosophical clip. And the fact that the setting chosen for this is vampire, I think that this should be treated with irony, just as the creators of the video treated it with irony) IMHO, because The creators of the video put some meaning into it, spending a lot of time, then we, at least, need to spend a little more time understanding it...)

There was a fancam of Dimash singing this at his recent concert, so that may be where you saw it before. He was wearing a sparkly white suit. As far as I know, the song wasn't written about vampires.
