A Match Worn Shirt! I took the leap and splashed out on a signed match worn shirt. This jersey was worn in the Dutch KNVB Cup by Vitesse's French winger Amine Boutrah in a 1-0 win over RKSV Groene Ster. The shirt is the first designed by Dutch manufacturer Robey after a 5 year association with Nike and it stays true to the club's traditional black and yellow stripes which are carried over to the back of the shirt. The club crest and Robey logos are stitched on the chest while a mostly black round neck collar sees a yellow finish. The shirt shoulders are entirely black while a black and gold sleeve cuff is utilised. An Eredivise patch is present on one side despite it being a cup fixture while both sleeves see sponsor logos. The back of the shirt sees name and number printing with the name below the number allowing a large sponsor logo to feature. The club crest is included in the player number while the upper neck sees a logo featuring the full club name and founding year. The shirt's hemline is split on the sides with a lower much thicker hem on the back. The famous golden four-leaf clover - Robey's trademark - adorns the shoulder hoping to bring an extra bit of luck to the players. The inner neckline pays tribute to the 10th anniversary of the Papendal, the club's modern training ground. A badge of authenticity can be found on a tag on the lining. No C.O.A is needed as I can tell you this shirt stinks of sweat! As the game was played on astroturf there are only a few marks that indicate it saw action. Vitesse are unfortunately struggling this season as they currently sit in the relegation zone while Boutrah has made 23 appearances in all competitions contributing 3 goals and 2 assists. A unique jersey to add to my collection and hopefully Boutrah goes on to have a successful career.
