The Secret Teachings Of The Rainbow body
This story of a Tibetan Buddhist monk realising the rainbow body is typical of the phenomena.
For many, particularly in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the attainment of the rainbow body is real and beyond doubt.
Many thousands have been first-hand witnesses to the phenomena.
But, what exactly is the rainbow body?
And, can anyone achieve it?
Simply put:
The rainbow body is a mystical transformation wherein the physical body dissolves into what is known as a light body.
This represents the pinnacle of spiritual evolution and is often equated with enlightenment.
Those who attain the rainbow body are believed to have not only transcended the usual cycle of death and reincarnation, but to be reborn into a higher dimension of existence.
To many this phenomenon may be obscure, mysterious, or even unheard of; however, it has been recorded in a number of spiritual traditions - not only Tibetan Buddhism.
In fact, there are some Christian scholars, such as Francis V. Tiso, who argue that Christ’s ascension may have been a case of Christ attaining the rainbow body.
In this video, we will first look at the phenomena of the rainbow body as it is understood in Tibetan Buddhism and its first appearance in the religion which predates Tibetan Buddhism - Bön.

My girlfriend sees auras too, in everyone everyone has an aura neither my girlfriend nor the people she looks at have anything to do with Buddhism and do not practice anything what is the conclusion from this?

@@NechamaGluck "Rainbow body" and "body of light" and aura - three different things To have an aura you don't have to do anything, you just have to live the other two things must be achieved through practice but if practice supposed to give results we need initiations to which most people do not have access because lamas usually don't do this, they just teach and give "lungs" sometimes
In the history of Tibet, there are many examples of the achievement of the rainbow body. The most astonishing record comes from the book "The History of Light Before Translation ". It is said that in the Kato Monastery section of Nyingma history, In the seven hundred years since the initiation of the Dharma system, a total of 100,000 people have attained the Dzogchen Rainbow Light Body achievement. Even in modern times, cases of Tibetan rainbowification still occur repeatedly. in the artical《A Brief Account of the Achievements of the Rainbow Body in Tibetan Buddhism》 by Khenpo Sodargye （མཁན་པོ བསོད་དར་རྒྱས）listed many names.
100,000 in 700 years is 142 per year. That's one every three days. Seems very very exaggerated.

My Higher Self compels me to inform everyone who watches this video,who think that achieving the rainbow is almost impossible, should know that we, humans, are now in the time of ascension and because of this achieving the rainbow body has been made easier. In short, we should all strive to achieve it, because it is humanity's destiny.

@@rheadeshmukh-ez1wi obviously there are many paths, but mine involved using the Gateway tapes consistently for a few years, not that I have achieved the light body already. But I do feel many symptoms of change.
This is possibly very true some evidence of more and more people becoming more aware of the abilities the mind can do, some cultures refere the ascension as a shift into christ consciousness which opens the doors of our minds to tap into the ethereal field and be able to heal oneself or others "magically" but I myself think its maybe more of a matter of believing that you can alter your life force and make it better if there's a pothole in your existence. Reminds me of a study preforming placebo major surgeries that only knocked a person out they made an incision and just stitch it back and tell the patients it was a success, a high percentage of the tested subjects were cured immediately just cause the brain was unaware for a moment and believed what they were told happened in that period it was blind. Which I find just astounding and remarkable at the least
I find this concept fascinating and strongly believe with dedication, devotion and discipline, this can be available to all of us. I have been meditating for 25 years and notice so many small miracles around light and colour, especially whilst in meditation. Thank you for sharing; namaste.

It turns you into a Ghost, practically. Only a preseance. At this point, the body is just something used for being down here. Thoughts, feelings are still there but there is a cut-off that occurs. They become impersonal. No longer personal. The being is more in tune with the energy, spirit, lightbody, doesn't matter what one would like to call it. They are no longer matter or dence. Even your breathing becomes light. It's like there is no one inside of the body. People can feel this, electromagnetically, when they are near you, or even when they speak or think of you... and when I say people, I mean, your everyday people who subconsciously believe that their thoughts, feelings, perceptions, trauma, what they see in a mirror, is who they are.

What we essentially have is the description of the world. Currently, our perception is too much locked into one direction and most people can not even accept different possibilities of perception. That's where a 5gm breakthrough comes in.5 times 5gm trip can reduce the time to understanding to a great extent that a monk can meditate until hell freezes and never be able to truly realize the self. And it best works if one cultivates or picks the mushrooms themselves. That in general makes the mind fully disciplined, and patient in the first place.

There's a Theravada sutta where an arahat-sorcerer enters Nirvana by floating up into the sky and dissolving his body into the base elements of earth, water, fire, and air. I can't remember which sutta, but I'm fairly certain it's in the medium length discourses. Funny sidenote, the Buddha witnessed.this and was totally ambivalent. Iirc his response was "That one came to do what was to be done."

Thank you. 🙏🏼 after 10 years of dedicated meditation practice, I can dissolve into the nothingness, but the problem is when it happens I become aware that it has happened and so I lose it - The awareness of it pushes it away. 😁 So now my practice is to be in the nothingness for as long as possible without noticing it. Surrender to bliss. Even being a few seconds in this spaciousness of light and expansive awareness every day has transformed me. 🙏🏼🌀❤️
how to do this?
Awareness is key
you discovered the rigpa state, to develop your practice search for an explanation of the 4 Chogshag of Dzogchen (the continuation state).. once you will be stable, to attain rainbow body, you will have to learn the "Tögal" from a Vajrayana Lama. Tögal (or Thodgal) is the final step to recognize dualistic reality as illusion made of rays and light and is the final step to attain rainbow body. Without Togal there is no realization of the rainbow body, but you will be liberated in the Bardo of death and go in a Pure Realm or be free from samsara anyway. This is a short explanation based on the Vajrayana path of Dzogchen.

Barring highly improbable errors of memory, I believe that the book by the Tibetan lama Namkhai Norbu entitled: 'The Crystal And The Way Of Light Sutra, Tantra And Dzogchen' may prove particularly interesting. I do not own that book which has always been unobtainable, at least for me at the time I tried to obtain it. But I was fortunate enough to be able to read it in the library of the rebuilt 'Sera Monastic University' in the state of Mysore India. If I remember correctly, it gives a very enlightening account of what happened in the time of Marpa the translator. Lama Norbu also recounts instances of the body of light in his other books.
I just searched AMAZON, and that book is available for purchase there in paperback or kindle form. I see this book as a 5 STAR rating there.

Even in the Yoga Vasistha there are some stories of body dissolution due to Realization of the Self. Lots of Yogi also speaks about body dissolution due to Samadhi. It Is something that a Master or and advanced Yogi Is able to do. Some do It some not. Depends on them. In the yoga Vasistha there Is a story of a young man doing it's sadhana, then meeting a Guru in the forset that explane Is the Truth about the Self, the Jnana teaching, and he understands the teaching so well that seats in meditation and disappiers leaving no trace of his body. Not bad i would say.

As I climbed onto my roof I saw the great light in the sky announcing Ramana's passing. Many people saw this light, and most later reported that it resembled a meteor. It appeared to me in a different form: I saw a large pillar of light in the middle of the sky, about seven meters high and half a meter wide. It remained visible for about 2 minutes, during which time it slowly lowered itself onto the ashram. Shortly afterwards a sadhu informed me that Ramana had left his body. (Biogrphie von Annamalai Swami) Atman and An-Atman on and the self.

It is very strange to find this video. Last night i began a dteam life as a dragonfly. The Essence told me i was a lacewing and the wings became vividly iridescent in my minds eye. I flew and shimmering rainbow bubbles streamed from my wings as i bubblewrapped the entire world. I became a foetus in one of the bubbles. I was aware other people had jumped into bubbles of different colours. We took off into the air and i looked down. There was only darkness and a vivid blue light like an intense opal. I looked up and saw a gold green stone that seemed to communicate with the blue light. They both seemed to snap into place in my body. I dont know what happened to the blue opal but the green stone locked into my sacral chakra. We got faster, at the speed of light the whole sky became swirling rainbows and concentric ripples as if forces stirred and disturbed it. Space was an ocean of colours and we all became cosmic babies spinning and laughing randomly.

I find that tibetan buddhism and vedic traditions go hand in hand. So many people try to argue these paths, but I think all paths ultimately are trying to get to the same point of realization of what we really are. I want to unite my Shiva and Shakti and be a buddah. A Shiva with Buddah and Christ conciousness. I love you all, blessings from America in Illinois. Hope you all have a good journey. It is ABSURD to think that the purpose of this reality is to TRANSCEND it. Spiritual evolution is expanding more and more into Cosmic Awareness, but even more importantly to bring that Cosmic Awareness INTO THE BODY and keep playing this GAME with different rules (less and less limited) and feeling more and more BLISS running through every cell of the body.

Hm, that’s contradictory to my experience. I was a devout Christian for 40 years, along with my husband. We sacrificed everything for the common good. We were unflinchingly honest, we were kind and in service to all because we believed “god” was watching, and there was going to be a magical checklist that would get us into heaven. We have been beat down like no one’s business. Our life was so hard it almost killed us. When a Christian minister told us we just needed to serve more, in order to get out of our situation, we almost lost it, especially me because I had given everything and was a husk of a woman because of it. I am no longer a Christian but I’ve learned through meditation and from the ascended masters, how to digest my pain and be “I am.” I’m still a kind person and that won’t change because it’s my nature, but peace came with facing death and acceptance of what is. Not through being nice.
I think you misinterpreted my meaning. being a "good person" is a least part of our nature. do you understand yet why christianity is wrong, for soo many reasons, and now why your ascended masters teachings are also wrong, for one simple obvious reason, your still not self empowered, and still giving your power away for someone to show you the way, instead of letting your experiences be your guide to what works or doesn't, second, the whole new age ascended master is a captured program of disempowered, even if less so than christianity, growing up is your work, your discipline, your experience, not an ascended masters quicken a path for you, and I know this thru experience, even though it can be utilized to your benefit, but not from your view at this time. read all my comments I've placed here to understand better, as I'm 30 years in the use of the Bon tradition, which is not new age, not ascended masters, and no longer use even the Bon traditions for my maturing, so, I have been where you are and where you believe you are going already, and the beginning of where you are and most of humanity,, IS SELF EMPOWERMENT, without it you will be duped again and again, until you are SELF EMPOWERED, and that is the beginning only of KNOW THYSELF I wish you and yours the best how christianity deceived you is available on you tub now, but the real self empowering principles are not known to most, and i mean 99.999999999% of those who say they do

There is a universal and common law behind all spiritual phenomena...
The Rainbow Body is represented by the idea of the World tree and the rainbow bridge in Wodin. As from above so shall be below. It's the idea of aligning your chakras and taking part in many esoteric rituals similar and related to Kundalini Yoga and Yogacara. The foundation of Hinduism and Buddhism is the Mahasiddhas that were everything Buddhism and Hinduism would become to be. It's about becoming one with the All Father, Sky or Sun God through enlightened practice. Body, mind and speech meditation often involving manifestation of demons/deities or possession. Siddhas by definition are to attain magical powers and the Rainbow body is to become no longer human.
The Buddha is very powerful, very powerful, and that radiation is only a small part. Various miracles: knowing the past, future, present, knowing other people's thoughts. Disappearing and reappearing in another place, walking on water, diving, flying, seeing the beginning and end of the universe. and the rebirth of the universe into a hundred thousand kalpas This is a small part of the Buddha. Vipassana meditation practice It is what helps to reach nirvana. As for magical powers, it comes from practicing Samatha meditation, such as Abhiññā6 and Vijjā3.

The content could serve as an opportunity for practicing Christians to reconsider the covenant. A really interesting parallel would be the scene from the 1st Matrix movie when trinity and switch picked neo up in a vehicle admist heavy rainfall. The rain falling corresponds to code (or 0s and 1s of info) falling down the green screen. In our current Era we are interacting with information at an alarming pace. Insomuch the amount can overwhelm (or flood).. Meditation, or stilling the mind aids the aforementioned. And, through kundalini yoga, one may experience all colors in the rainbow you see after it rains.

The Guru of Nisargadatta who is Siddharameshwar Maharaj said in his book that we must transcend not only the causal body but also the to find final liberation, ie, Paramatman. But there is no talking about light body... Maybe the light body is yet limited in the great causal body? Maybe we should transcend every 'bodies'? and Light is not the ultimate reality.. anyway thanks a lot with this video it helps me understand!

In the West, this body is known as the "Body of Glory". Yes, Jesus appeared before his disciples in this body, as did many saints in the Catholic Church. The phenomenon is also known for the power of bilocation (appearing in several places at once). The physical body is in one place meditating or praying and its glory body moves to other places to heal and bring messages. Being the watcher and the player at once, and enjoying the great play with delight while also acting the local play with absolute delight and variety.
