I was a dog man my whole life....until I had kids. Now im all about my cat shes self reliant, low maintnance, and kills rodents. I didnt claim her, she claimed me . Now we are broskis and she follows me on my outdoor adventures and sleeps on my legs. Nice review pete.
I grew up with a cat that found us. Literally turned up at our door and never left. Would leave us gifts -- internal organs off mice etc. Great with kids
I am more of a dog person but likes cats too. They r more independent but dogs r loyal, but requires daily walking. I am not sure yet maybe I’ll change my mind later on in life lol. Just deciding to buy a pet soon :)
I love my dogs for their loyalty and workability. I love my cat because of his personality and independence. Haha I think it takes a level of emotional security to like cats haha
Man, I must've acquired the "battery saver" model of the exotic shorthair... Mine does nothing but sleep and follow for pats and snuggles. XD

She looks like a real sweetheart, as evidenced by how easy going she seemed while you were grooming her, and by how she was around young kids in the bonus footage. Also, good tip on the face wiping, most people aren’t aware of things like this before purchasing an exotic animal. My parents had a silver shaded Persian when I was growing up and the face goop cleanup was a never-ending battle.
From someone who had a bengal, these guys are the other side of the spectrum. So quite, so well behaved, so friendly.. I love them

Best breed ever. Mine ignores EVERYTHING except people and mice. Active? Mine look like they eat Valium.
Know many persian/ exotic couldn’t catch a mouse to save their life 🙈. Do not agree that they are very active or athletic, quite on the contrary. Generally one of the most chill/ lazy cats one can have. They are playful don’t get me wrong, but when I think of athletic or active cats it would be bengals or Norwegian forest cats. There are individual differences, of course.
Thank you so much for your description. I was looking into getting an exotic shorthair. I was told they didn’t shed as much as the Persian ( long hair) but I saw the amount of hair on your shirt, so you saved me from a headache. Your kitties are beautiful btw.

Cats are easy to maintain. They're self cleaning and stay sharp indefinitely with just a door mat or a fence post.

I got an exotic short hair from an elderly couple on Sunday. They couldn't care for him any longer. He has settled in very well. Confined to the family room until is familiar with us. Eating/drinking. Fairly social. He loves following us. Doesn't like being picked up.

Nance Good choices, I will say Brits can be upwards of $2000 USD but they are low maintenance and are very loyal

All cats need loving home. Adopted or breeder, makes no difference. Ours was 7k from a breeder and we have zero regrets. (Different breed). Planning on #2 this summer and will go right back to our breeder. Thanks for sharing!

Self sharpening features are built in. Holds the edge a little too well.

Aww she’s so cute! We ended up having to go to a breeder for our exotic also since it was so hard to find an exotic rescue (I tried that route first and didn’t have much luck). We are planning on getting another one because we love the breed so much.

Wow that's so interesting! I have always read and heard that British Shorthairs tend to be more active than Exotic Shorthairs! huh! I guess each cat is different too though! Nice video, very informative :)
Being the "human" to the SWEETEST & most loving Exotic, (just like gorgeous Lemon), I especially enjoyed this video...My 9 yr old came to me from his breeder, when he was 3 1/2, as he'd been intended to be one of the cattery *studs,* but he turned out to be a "reluctant bridegroom" which STILL cracks me up... *HaHaHa* ...All I had to do was pay for his neutering, travel crate, & flight from out of state...The breeder thoroughly checked me out 1st for assurance I'd be a responsible & loving owner to one of her very loved cats...(Even talking to our family vet...) Finn is the most gentle & affectionate cat I've ever known, & always wants to be "loved" on which I happily provide EVERY single day...(He always follows me around & is always curious about *everything* inside AND outside the windows..(Actually, I just saw him sniffing & checking out a small crack in the foundation.. : ) However, after bringing a 2nd cat (VERY sweet/same age) from a cat shelter, (so Finn would have a playmate & "grooming friend")...well, Finn greatly disliked Fred since the day they were introduced... Now, 2 yr's later, Finn usually "tolerates" Fred, but frequently intimidates this huge 25 pound guy, & will swat/chase him away, & will even corner & try biting him occasionally (Thankfully, has NEVER drawn blood), & then will even try eating his brother's food before he even goes to his own bowls that sometimes he even stands over to "guard" when they both get fed at the exact time, with the same food & same amounts...Both boys are equally loved & each get lots & lots of personal attention, so maybe Finn is still *jealous* of big, ole, gentle Fred, after *TWO* whole yr's??? Can't figure it out...Does anyone have any ideas... *: )* (BTW, sometimes they sleep, (but on opposite sides of my bed) at the same time???)
hey buddy when ya gonna do a test on kizers 1095 fixed blades. interested in their normal heat treat vs differential forge method of esse and tops. thinking it may have better edge retention due to tighter tolerances. Also love cats. lost 2 a month apart last year. My smokey slept on my chesy every night. He had 1 front leg from a car injury or anaimal attack. I also saved him from a coyote at 3am in my boxers lol. good companions.

I have just found your video, I'm gonna pick my exotic cat this Sunday actully from a breeder, choose my cat because I love it's personality. What concerns me very much is this flat face- have you ever noticed /suspected that Lemon's weel being/quality of life is affected by the skull shape ?

I believe in getting my pets from breeders as well. They tend to have longer lives because you know about their lineage. Now I have had Rescue kitties but they never lived as long as my cats from breeders which is heartbreaking. I've loved all my fur babies so much and I a looking forward to getting my first British Blue Shorthair this Monday. I agree about keeping them fully inside as well. My home definitely looks like a home made for cats with lots of toys and cat trees and scratching posts.

How is the pocketability?
Quick husky question. Can you let Ada (I think that's your huskies name) off leash outside? Our Husky was an amazing pupper. I can't imagine ever having a better dog. But we could NEVER let him off the leash without him deciding to run away all while laughing at my futile attempts at catching him. He obeyed every command inside the house and while on the leash though. Now I will say my wife had him for the first 6 years all to herself. I was the newcomer. So he was already set in his ways. Love the pet reviews man! Keep it up.
nope, Huskies are notoriously hard to off leash train, its definitely not just you. I think it can be done, but they have distance running and adventure hardwired into them. She walks pretty well on a leash though, not as pully as even the Golden Retriever.

Any cat is good with dogs as long as the dog grew up with cats and the cat is introduced to the same dog as a young kitten . My brother has a pit bull that loves the hell out of his 2 kittens. They sleep together.

Where did Basil and Lemon get their names ??
Marv Thomas Lemon was partly because of Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. It seemed to fit her. And Basil because we wanted to keep with the food theme and Basil is a perfect British like... like Basil from faulty towers. (I’m Lemons other parent by the way).

Most people I know don't like that flat face exotics have which is a mystery to me, they're adorable. Yours seems to be on the extreme side of flatness
Yeah same for me I use to think they're ugly (not in a bad way) but It grew on me and it's more of a Ugly but extremely cute beautiful I wanna hug them pet them snoot their noses.
