I don't know how old this fellow is but I am 68. My knees are in awe of his! I have 13 Seminole pumpkins that have to go in the ground and I have no where to put them. This just solved my problem. You are never to old to learn.

Очень странно слово"смышлёный"в отношении взрослых людей.Оно скорее применимо в отношении маленьких детей или братьев наших меньших-животных.Но,видимо,себя вы считаете высшей расой😏
Например Тайланд где температура без перепадов, заболоченая почва с кучей мениралов - это вроде пойм Херсонщины.
да ничего особенного не добавлено, на видео он сапропель (речной ил) смешал с песчаной почвой и все. это Вьетнам, там палку воткни - будет арбуз, если удобрить пару раз органикой. Рек и болот там полно, население бедное, поэтому такие огороды исключительно на речной органике и перегное из компоста. Ну нету у них денег на химические удобрения, там в городе зарплата 50 баксов в месяц, а в деревнях дай бог, если 10-15, плюс огород. Люди живут в глиняных домишках, похожих на наши гаражи. Внутри только спят (да и то не всегда, чаще всего там алтарь семейный и некоторые вещи хранятся), я готовят еду и в целом проводят все свое время под обычными навесами - климат там такой, что дом не нужен. Я была в этой стране и лично наблюдала их быт.
Ну что тут скажешь, молодец ! Всё так ловко получается, но конечно и от погоды всё зависит, если климат позволяет почему бы и не вырастить. И ваши усилия не напрасны. Мы созданы с потребностью трудится. В нас это заложено самим Создателем и в Библии можно прочитать такие слова: "От всякого труда есть прибыль, а от пустословия только ущерб."(Притча 14 глава 23стих)
этот ролик находка для меня.в этом году также посажу и арбузы и дыни .а то места в огороде мало а так хочется своими арбузиками полакомиться😁
Главное чтобы было тепло , солнце..... Арбузы и у меня на Урале растут, но лучше приспособились к нашему климату----ДЫНИ !!!!

OMG!!! Seeing this video I just have had a flashback (of more than 50 years ago )with one of my grama, I just begin to remember how she was planting seeds, Absolutely the same!!!! Only she was transplanting them in the garden, between the grapes 🍇(i 🤔 think) I was a little girl 5-6- years of age, I remember after finishing helping grama, had to wash my hands to help grandpa to take his medication. That was the last time I saw him, he died before my 7th birthday. I hope you will read my comment and understand that your videos are not only about gardening. You can use goat or chicken dung only or use chemical fertilizer if you want but without chemical fertilizer it is enough if you give lot of dung, fruits will be bigger if you put lot of dung of goats But we are in indonesia now like more plant with water only without soil at all Many people in indonesia start to plant without water here because this is an old method to plant in soil

Интересно знать, из чего изготовлены мешки? Мне показалось из бумаги, но как тогда бумага выдержала многократный полив? Потом, что за почва? Похожа на глину... И ещё: рассаду он высаживал по идеи в почве, но мне она напомнила цементный раствор. Может там у них другого цветв почва?

Арбуз не дозрел. Плодоножка должна высохнуть и тогда можно собирать урожай.
Ну это же не тыква, а арбуз!)) На ботве, рядом с хвостиком арбуза есть ещё 1 или 2 маленьких усика. Вот если они сухие, тогда арбуз зрелый. А вот если усох хвостик, который прикреплён к самому арбузу, тогда он перезрел, и возможно уже пустой внутри или начал гнить. Ещё по звуку можно определить, что он и показал!)

I just planted watermelon seeds about 10 days ago here in Pennsylvania. I got more seeds and planted some today. Yellow squash spaghetti squash carrots and snow peas. Don't know what will happen but I planted sunflower seeds a week ago and they sprouted in 2 days. I think part of the key is having warm soil.

Wow!! Fantastic video!! I’m trying to grow a watermelon indoors hydroponically. One question I have is, each plant only produced one watermelon in your video is that because you removed any other female flowers that tried to grow and kept it to just one per plant? Also fantastic display of how to hand pollinate!!! I’ve been doing it with all my indoor veggie plants that require pollination and I find this is the very best way to ensure 100% germination!!! Excellent video!!! I’ll be referring a lot of people to it, I’m in a lot of gardening groups and while I’ve written instructions on exactly how to hand pollinate, being able to see exactly how to do it the way you show in your video will help ALOT of people!! Congratulations on your successful watermelon harvest!! 🥰❤️🇨🇦

Get your grow tent, full spectrum lights, oh balancers, masterblend/calcium nitrate/epsom salt, pH water sensor, 5 gallon buckets, clay pebbles, and net cups. You'll be good to go.

You will know when the watermelon is ready to pick when the tendril (that curly cue looking thing next to where the watermelon is attached to the vine has withered, turned brown and dead looking. The WHOLE curly cue thing has to be brown. When it is... you can pick the watermelon! :)

If you have rich soil that holds moisture well limit the number of melons to one per arm of the parent plant. You can get 4,5 arms per plant per seed. Let them ripen till a bright yellow belly with brown steam for quick consumption.
