    • Perhaps one day humans will evolve to not add music to videos, but currently, many still think music has to be added. I theorise they don't even think about it, it's a conditioned response. I never watched the vid due to the background foreground music, and I avoid such channels.

  • I really like storm brand bowling balls because they work good for what I need them for and that’s just bowling for fun with my friends, I recently purchased two storm bowling balls, which one is a 14 pound tropical surge and then the 14 pound storm ice and I would have to say both of them have work good for what I need them for and it’s only a 2 ounce difference between the two, my tropical surge is 14 pounds 4 ounces and my ice is 14 lbs. 2 oz.

  • For the uninitiated, I guess pro-shops are the ones that cut the finger holes on these?

    @fitybux4664@fitybux4664 Жыл бұрын
    • Yes. Bowling centers usually have a pro shop that measures the hand and fingers, and drills the holes. I remember years ago the local JC Penneys at our mall had a fairly comprehensive sporting goods department. There was an old dude there who drilled balls all day long. I used to watch him do the layouts and drilling. I pretty much grew up in our local bowling alley since my father bowled in several leagues a week. He was a PBA member back in ‘65 and ‘66.

  • Question!! As a new bowler, I have been looking for a Great looking ball. With Style, class, and unique flare. Think the James Bond of bowling balls. The only bowling balls I fell in love with were the Belmo Clear Balls (which you cannot get right now), I also liked the White Quantum Evo (which you also cannot get anymore) All the other balls have bright playful colors and seem to me like a bag of marbles. Why hasn't a company introduced a brand that produces balls like this, imagining a gold ball, or silver ball. That actually looked like metal. Something that when you looked at it you would say, wow that's beautiful! How about a jade stone color ball or a ball made to look like exotic stones. Am I the only one who thinks all the balls look like toys or marbles with no classy style? Even the bowling shirts are loud and colorful.

    • Because manufacturers appease to the masses. You have a rather unique and unpopular taste. Those balls u describe would just sit at a pro shop for months or years making no money to the business until that one random guy walks in and says: i want the James bond of bowling balls 🤣. But seriously you have to understand they are in the business of making money and making shiny silver balls isn't where the money is.

I am surprised to tell the truth that so much was hands on. Like the guy that just picked up and moved the molds on and off the table and the guy that filled the molds. It would be so cost effective to have a robot do those things.

You can't stay in business in 2023 with 1955 buildings and equipment. Take our local BA for instance, all new refurbished lanes, returns, neon and strobe lights, large flat screen score screens with video replays and video replays of professional games of the pin score you bowl on each frame, restaurant and fully stocked and manned pro shop selling the latest and greatest of balls, equipment and service for that equipment, custom fitting and drilling for your new bowling ball.
