I love mechanical designs; it feels like they make as much as possible out of as simple ideas as possible, and that is very satisfying.
I had this and an amazing childhood. Thanks Mom and Dad !
Cool beans brother!
Pacman has been my favorite toy when I was 5. I watched this video 4 years ago. And now I'm back to watch it again. I really miss these.
Tomy made a lot of cool toys back when this was made. I remember their train sets with animated elements. I use to have a zoo themed one but for the life of me can't remember its name. Interesting history...the toy factory in Japan used to make the Disney movie Where The Toys Come From was part of the Tomy factory. I still enjoy the show and its music to this day.
This looks waaaay cooler than the other gameboard with dices. I want this so baaad
Pacmau01 I want one too, but I have a buffalo games Pac-Man board game , and it has authentic sounds! :D
@@AF.281OldChannel As do i, its a pretty good one
Had this game back in the day, but have no idea what happened to it. It could be fun for a little bit. Totally forgot about it so thanks for the memories!
That's pretty cool! I had some of the Tomy wind-up toys, but I never had this game. I remember seeing it in the Sears catalog. I had a different Pac Man board game that had a whole bunch of marbles for power pellets which your hollow plastic Pac Man could pick up by pressing him down on them. He had a hole in his 'bottom' that the marbles went into. When he got full, you opened his mouth and dumped them out and counted them to see if you picked up more than your opponents. It came with several Pac Men (four maybe?) of different colors as well as four red ghosts. Your opponents took turns moving the ghosts each time you moved your Pac Man. It was pretty fun, but nothing as dynamic as this one. Great video! Fun to see these old games again.
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
At 1:40 when he said " what's that , you say I should put one over here , over here , here ok let's do right here " I thought one second earlier " there would be a good spot "
+Bacon Eater You see. I knew!

Wow, that game is awesome, wish I could've gotten one, even better considering the time it was made, and the fact it uses no batterys
Wow... the simplicity of it. Love it! :-)
That is so neat! Thank you for sharing this awesome find!!!
RED - Blinky PINK - Pinky BLUE - Inky ORANGE - Clyde
“100% Gluten Free!” You think people would eat this? XD
I remember seeing it in a shop a long time ago with all the toys in a kid's playing area.
OMG, Atari! I was a teenager when I got one. Still wish I had it, but sadly it stopped working in the late 1980s.
I was a teenager when I got mine too! Except... I’m still a teenager. Weird.
Dang I remember your first video... congrats on 4 plus million views.
Cool I had the Pac-Man board game with the marbles when I was a kid I got to put this one in my collection
i got this as a kid one christmas, loved it.
Interesting! I like that it has a joystick! 🕹
That's cool, wish I had it back in the day
That’s my Buddy/Hero lol great work for a great toy
This board game is my wishlist for my birthday or Christmas
That's ingenious! It reminds me of the mechanical games Milton Bradley made, called T.H.I.N.G.S.
A whirl of a time. Vintage toys always dandy.
I always wanted you to do this toy thanks for doing it!! 😀

I love maze board's, they are really fun.
Reminds me of the eat and run game that's on the original electronic portable tabletop from Coleco
I have this and I love it
Would have loved to have this as a kid or even now
Actually a rather brilliant design for making a tangible analog version of this all too familiar digital arcade classic.
+SwankeyMonkey Yup. This might be the best non electronic port of a video game.

the power pellets where the things that turned the ghost’s ‘edible’ as namco called it
Fascinating.
+The No Swear Gamer The blue ghost is: Inky. The red ghost is: Blinky.
Thanks. I added notes to the standard youtube version, but it might not show up on mobile devices.
That is awesome and looks like fun😀😀😀😀😀

Inky = light blue Blinky = red Pinky = pink Clyde = orange.
Pac-Man Fever swept America from 1981-3 (including Ms. Pac-Man). Kids were willing to play anything resembling Pac-Man including the much maligned Atari Pac-Man. Sadly, Atari thought it would sell multiple times what their previous bestsellers of Space Invaders, Missile Command and Asteroids had done. Had it been a better port like Ms. Pac-Man a year later, then maybe it would have. Instead it's rumored they threw away their money manufacturing over a million (maybe 2?) of carts that didn't sell. The latest thing I heard is that some of their executives took millions from the company in bonuses while those who made the games got squat, so they had to outsource games like Moon Patrol in 1983.
I had one! It's was amazing!
Still have mine in box, only the maze sticker area is starting to lift slightly in places and make it difficult for paceman to slide over.

Too much moisture if its sealed too tightly..posters are like that too..if they are framed too tightly, they have a humidity in the frame, and with no room to expand and contract outwards and inwards,, it warps fwd and backward.
Scopie33 mm
Interesting mechanism
This thing > Pac Man Atari 2600 port But seriously though, I'm happy this exists. Tomy did an amazing job on this.

Wow, this is so cool! Why is it so rare and hard to find?
I love Pac-Man💜
This game looks smushy and goobery..free wheelin and slidey! Kind of reminds me of as much precision i see in sewing on machines.
i have that set
blue inky there:)
I wish I had that
Clyde:Orange Pinky:Pink
Blinky:Red Inky:Blue
The ghost are ment to be called "Monters" but in the USA they thought it was ghost instead of monster
2:11 wakka wakka wakka wakka wakka
This is cool
I had this in 1983.
Amazing how overcomplicated, it seems like something from a dream that wouldn't exist in real life... But also the movement is impressive that it works out, joystick to control Pac-Man and the ghosts move too... A non-electronic version, based on gravity & magnets instead of a videogame lol.
i Like Your voice its so calm
