  • For those curious, Article 152.1 of the Russian Federaition Civil Code states: "The citizen shall have the right to claim through the court that the information, discrediting his honour, dignity or business reputation be refuted, unless the person who has spread such information proves its correspondence to reality. By the demand of the interested persons, the citizen's honour and dignity shall also be liable to protection after his death. " So basically, you have the right to defend yourself against slander. It has nothing to do with filming. As far as I can see, the civil code says nothing about recording others, posting videos of others on the internet, or privacy.

    • He was just using the standard bad/lazy cop tactic of 'in case of taking a personal dislike to a law-abiding citizen invent a rule to attack them with'. This must be a different part of Moscow to the usual S.a.D. places. The cops are usually well-informed and rarely invent fantasy laws to try to trap the video makers. Surely they must all realise, seeing people with cameras, that the whole thing is most likely recorded, so trying to intimidate with made-up rules is always going to come back to bite them in the arse. .

Such consent is not required in the cases, when: 1) the depiction is used in the state, social or other public interests; 2) the citizen's depiction is obtained when shooting a film in the freely visited places or during public events (meetings, congresses, conferences, concerts, performances, sport competitions and such like events), with the exception of the cases, when such depiction is the principal object of use; 3) the citizen has sat for the depiction for a payment. Shame on Polkadot Pretender. It appears she set up this encounter just to play this game. Well done passerby! Shame on Ditzy Diva Mom letting her child cry while she whined and fumed about the sticker she earned for thinking she is entitled. Shame on Mercedes Moron for flashing a disabled card thinking it gives him the right to endanger pedestrians and possibly making someone else need one with his antics. I was alluding to the fact that most Law Enforcers in the U.S. either do not know the law, along with not knowing the Constitution which they took an oath to uphold and protect, or they just blatantly disregard the law. If you happen to focus your attention on finding negative aspects, you will frequently find it where there is none, and you run the risk of missing out on the positive. I hope this is not the case for you, but if it is, I hope you can take a honest, unbiased look at yourself . . . Politicians can't run against Putin in presidential elections, unless they're people that are somewhat close to Putin's circle of trust.
