  • The way I know that, even if I don't have the *talent* for it, I have the *heart* of a comedian: My instant reaction to taking that fall would have been to simply say, "PLEASE tell me you got that!", because if I'm gonna take a fall like that, at the very least, get it on tape so that you can *use* it...

  • Good for Ronnie Corbett. He can take a joke. Poor fella fell over but even he found it funny. I laugh every time I watch and sing along to the song. Peter Kay was clever in getting Tony Christies permission in using his song for a great charity. The song lifts my spirits and the video is good apart from Saville please use computer technology to remove him.

  • I often used to wonder if that Ronnie Corbett slip was an accident or design. At first, I thought it might have been done intentionally but then I couldn't quite see how it made any sense. So then I thought maybe it was an accident that they decided to put in as part of the comic value, so I guess this confirms the latter. It has to be said, the way this was done was very dodgy in terms of health and safety, people will need protecting from themselves because, as Peter Kay said, Ronnie was proper going for it and even though I'm only 59 and fairly fit and healthy, even I would think twice about messing around like that on a treadmill without anything else to hold on to. I'd be very careful and Ronnie was 75 at the time? Stone me 😮

    • It's hilarious because it's so slapstick! Like they said, it was basically like a man approaching a banana skin. The fact that one second Ronnie was doing his dancing on the moving platform, then next thing they knew he was flying backwards past Peter and Michael Parkinson must have been crazy! They said that he wasn't that hurt, and Ronnie found it really funny, and it was all for charity!
