Carnivores also get satisfaction from chewing on bones. She's not the least bit food aggressive. What a sweet cat! Also, many thanks to the translators.
Unfortunately in the west for the last 80 years ,then in Eastern Europe for only 30 years because of processed cat and dog food the animals do not anymore now how to chew bones (and gets very sick, plus all those way too many unnecessary , but money making , vaccines too) . Veterinaries and years ago even TV advertisements told pet owners to not feed their pets bones. The poor animals end up in hospital with sometimes dangerous perforations in their digestive system. Animal mothers do not themselves now how to chew, so nobody is there to teach the little puppies or kittens.. . Weird that some cats somehow did not lose the hunting instinct even without being taught. I did have a cat who hunted. After few years I Adopted one 2 years old who did not know. Amazingly the old cat taught the new cat how to hunt.! What bipeds do for $$ disgusts me every day, they destroy everything . But some good news for few years the net is full of vets or just people teaching pet owners to cook for their pets or just feed them raw food. Sorry my cat won’t touch those. I adopted her and had spent one year to teach her to este canned food, not just dry. I buy those grain free. Irks me when the same “smart” brainnwashed ,ignorants who feel as they are all knowing smirk at you for “holding wild” animals . First you take care of them do not “hold” them and that takes hard work,dedication and $$$ Second: These are no more wild animals, they are born in captivity for generations ,some like Messi without you would’ve perished long ago. 😢. Yes I agree is a huge sin to hunt wild animals for fur or tusks or pelts. Thank God fur coats are out of favor,. And if one helps a sick wild animal or bird surely those have to be released after the recovery. But those born in captivity for generations sooner or later if they will not die cruelly of starvation , surely they will end up as prey for the real wild predators. That is not so hard to think but lately since mobile phones and Facebook, networks and tv ,fake media some brains shrank and got badly washed up. Just i g n o r e them! ❤ People like you will be the future earthlings. ❤❤❤❤ Years ago in Manhattan the metro train was elevated. Tracks were out. To avoid noise and probably traffic they built tunnels, to no avail the noise is still infernal and over years traffic got terrible to the point that they had to restrict it by taxes 😊. But in those tunnels from which 5he metro train got the name “subway” there exists a whole huge wild zoo consisting mainly of cats,mice, rats even snakes and God knows what. They studied those cats and their average length of life is 1 to maximum3 years.. Meantime on farm land free or appartments they live 15 or even over 20 years. Silence they build the Metro in Manhattan u Ignore the shrieked brains and may God bless you all!

Я тоже это отметила. У нас кошка все вытаскивает. Такая неряха. Если бы можно было, она бы и воду на пол вытащила и там бы слакала.

@@netaly2008 👍🏻😊 Полностью согласна! Я прочитала про это в интернете и купила своим котам(2) сразу крупные глубокие металлические миски когда взяла их котятами и их усы не касаются стенок миски..коты кушают всё очень аккуратно и ничего не вытаскивают на пол! 😺

A lot of things I've seen about cheetahs makes me think that they like people and like being around people. Social creatures. She is so beautiful. I love her!

Gerda is so full of love you can hear it spilling out of her every time she sees them.
They are the most sociable big cats with humans. They have a different demeanor overall from other big cats. Then comes some panthers. While all big cats are risky to tame the lion and tiger are the riskiest. They are way too dominant.
B. Greene They were never fully domesticated because they are very hard to breed in captivity. Has to be done is specific conditions and settings. Just because you put a male and female together, does not mean they will breed. Apparently with Cheetahs “distance makes the heart go fonder”. Plus they has specific courtship rituals (like chasing over long distances). A Zoo that can get Cheetahs to breed is a reason to celebrate in the Zoo world. There are apparently a strict set of rules it is found for an animal to be considered domesticable. Ability to see humans as being higher up on “social hierarchy” and being managed, ease of being able to be fed (not super picky), able to be held safely in captivity/ a farm, ability to breed out aggressiveness, and ease of breeding. Cheetahs don’t do well in the last department. In fact ancient Egypt’s and even the famous old “Middle East Stable of Hunting Cheetahs” almost all came from the wild. They were unsustainable in the long term due to difficulty breeding them in captive situations. You can put a female Cheetah in the same cage as a horny male....and they may just cuddle or just hiss at each other. They are very picky who they mate with!

Все правильно, в природе те, кто медленно ест, остается без еды. Особенно это касается гепардов. Догнал антилопу, быстро спрятал в надежное место (свой желудок) и все конкуренты - львы, гиены, леопарды, тигры и прочая шушера - могут идти лесом, полем, тугаями.

Messi and Gerda got together in the enclosure the other day and everything was good till she swatted Messi on the butt. I’m sure in time they will get used to each other,it only takes time.

Wow I forget how much food these big kitties 🐱 need! One whole (albeit) small chicken 🐔 and much more! Gerda is so patient. I feel her and Messi will get along fine; they already were in each others “territories” and seemed alright. They just need more time to acclimate. To me, it’s amazing they tolerated each other as they are WILD cats, from totally different parts of the world. (One from Canada, one from Africa)
Actually they are amazingly different and aren't supposed to get along, but Messi is one in a million and he may end up liking Gerda. From what I saw in the last engagement, Gerda took a nasty swipe at Messi. Sasha was checking him out to see if she scratched him. Messi is not aggressive, Gerda may be.
@@ralex3697 I would have to watch that again. I remember Messi being caught off guard from Gerda. Could have been playing, or not. I think after awhile integrating them together little by little, they will be okay with each other.
@@beanie8955 I think Gerda was only touching Messi but while most cats have fully retractable claws and a gentle swipe does not hurt, Cheetah claws are only semi-retractable (helps during the fast runs) and so even with a gentle touch the sharp end is felt and Messi may have interpreted this as aggressive. This is also why Sasha checked Messi's back.
@@mhand00 I remember how cheetahs are different like that with their claws. They are more like a dogs claws, really. I don’t think she meant to cause harm. :)

It's very sobering to watch a cheetah crunch bones like they were calcium chewables for humans.
My veterinarian says to never feed chicken bones, especially to cats. They get splintered and get wedged in the digestive system causing great pain and expensive surgery. Cats can't chew so they don't get ground up. I would think they shouldn't feed with the bones.
They can eat raw bones, its the cooked ones that get stuck.

Too bad that “fight or flight” instinct is still there; she seems fidgety, as in the wild she’d have her food nabbed by another predator. She trusts Masha though. The instinct never fully goes away it seems. 😟😐😧

Еда должна быть такой, как в дикой природе. К примеру львов иногда кормят тухлым мясом, потому что в дикой природе они иногда едят и его. Правда надо его совсем чуть чуть (там тоже что то содержится, плюс для пищеварения это гораздо легче, чем свежее). Гепарды едят только свежатинку, даже в дикой природе, поэтому места их охоты всегда сопровождают всякие гиены и прочие стервятники, за один присест гепард добычу вряд ли скушает, но про запас её не прячет, а просто бросает. У природы всё предусмотрено, если едят целиком, значит надо целиком.

Красотка миленькая.. Добрая... Ласковая.... И в ней столько нежности.. Есть видео, где снимают длмашних кошек при трапезе.. Там столько рычания и готовых разодрать руку, которая намеревается хотя бы их погладить.А тут кошечка больших размеров, но доброты в ней .. .) Аж мурлыкает.. От доброты человеческой и животные(не важно какое....) дарят доброту и любовь к человеку...
