So in this video I’ll be setting up and running my first still I bought in 2010 or so. This still started the J Riley Journey, it was fun to get it going again and as we distill in this video we give a brief breakdown on distillation. This is part 2 of making some moonshine. Be we ended up with a proof of around 150 we collected about a quart
Can we add heads and heart from 1st cook to 2nd cook?
You can. If you’re doing a stripping run you can keep the whole run for your spirit run and make your cuts there.
You started with 3 gallons how much did you collect before you got tails?
We ended up with just about a quart
Not to be a stickler but moonshine is only moonshine if its illegally made. Moonshine is illegal whiskey... Gave myself a douche chill with that comment
