They put the blood bags on the front of the cars so the warboys not only get the blood, but the adrenaline from their bloodbags. The compass not working shows fallout being stirred up in the sandstorm. The hide a gun is a throwback to the road warrior. Max hid weapons all over his interceptor.I liked that Nux was easily turned. Just think, when she touched him that was probably the first time he has ever felt affection. She sympathizes with Nux because like herself, he is a slave too. The lookout was actually bait. They used a naked woman to attract wastelanders to enact banditry on. Max says himself that the naked woman was bait. Seriously, all these gripes suck. You are grasping at straws.
+Daniel Lerch Also, those weren't cysts on Nux's shoulder. I believe they were supposed to be tumors. He probably named them to deal with the fact that he had cancer and was going to die from it. That also explains why he needed regular
+Daniel Lerch Why is compass even important though? We know they are living in fall-out
+Andy Lange Regular what? Come on I'm anxious to know
+Andy Lange you are correct. they refer to half lives as those with cancer.
+StonyJoe I thought it was a cool touch myself.
Needs more Thunderdome.
Please do straight out of Compton please I'm begging you Jeremy I don't beg often
hi
+CinemaSins He takes the bag of weapons with him to the top of the war machine. You see it in the next shot. At some point you even see a knife in the bag that he isn't shown taking but it you can see it next to the driver side window on the frame. :v
Do you like pie?
+CinemaSins Fuck you, Jeremy, 10:44 is a sin removed.
The "three bullet" thing is a call back to Max being law enforcement, like soliders, they are trained to use a three round salvo at targets, granted they were warning shots but that kind of training sticks with you
Not really. Atleast in the US cops mag dump on ppl no salvos
Specifically he was a police officer

Actually the most inexplicable thing I found in this movie is how can max give so much blood and still kept fit enough to fight n run.....wtf
@Leonor de Lancastre e Távora yes. Ik. This movie showed enormous energy of the characters. But apart from that I like the movie. Especially I like the emotion of the war boys. They're so desperate to die historic, that inspires me a lot. Even to this day
It's actually not that hard. I was fine every time I gave blood, even immediately afterwards.
Cuz he’s mad max
@@brianbayot8347 being fine is one thing. And continuously running while giving blood is another. Try to give blood for five days straight and keep running and fighting, you'll understand it's not that easy

I love how the dude with the guitar just kept fighting till he got his guitar back and then minded his business
Truly a man dedicated to his craft
“I’m just the bard, gimme my guitar back and no one else gets hurt.”
Miller has suggested we haven't seen the last of him.
His name is the Doof Warrior. He is Joe's herald and is the rider of the Doof Wagon.
In his head: "I came here to do one thing and one thing only..."
I was expecting this video to be 10 seconds long and just say "Nothing. There's nothing wrong with Mad Max, Fury Road, because it was freaking perfect."
nope according to them no movie is without a sin
I'm afraid i have to disagree with them. If there was one film that was without sin, it's Mad Max: Fury Road. I do like that at the end they acknowledged it's one of the greatest action films in recent years (or ever).
+PvtGermanWagz Fanboy alert.
Perfect? Hahaha, that's very hilarious.
+PvtGermanWagz Please tell me you're joking.

Not only that but Max is superior human strength in this movie is insane He was able to drag Nux a metal car door and a shotgun at least half a mile across the sun bearing Desert
@@joeymelton9036 well, he is supposed to be an urban legend anyway. For all we know there might be a story where he can fly in this universe

Thank you! He actually missed quite a lot in this movie. Just like I did the first 5 times I watched it lol.
4:01 I like how he say completely nothing and just look at this guitar guy and remove the sin
Badassery at it's finest.
I love the name

4:14 that crash is actually real, it's the dude flying out that is cg
Not cgi per se, but a very detailed doll.
95-98% of it is real and not CGI
agreed, and its also a double car with a 4 cyl engine hidden inside the V8 as the actual car was too valuable to be destroyed in the crash. the trivia on all the vehicles in the movie is amazing
only the background and furiosas arm are cgi
That shot looks like CG. It may be practical but it definitely looks like CG:
I knew you would remove a sin for the flame guitar player.
Omg the guitar guy made me hat the movie, it was the cringiest shit ever!!!
+Ethernet Ned Cringest? How?
Flawed judgment. The fact that you can hate the movie based on one thing you disliked just show that your opinion is not reliable and holds no weight.
+Taylor Grimm well I disliked the movie for various other movies but that bit like grinder my gears so hardly that it added majorly to my opinion of the movie (no harm or offence intended, just my opinion)
+Ethernet Ned (movies=reasons****)
1. The chastity belts have openings for urine, I guess. 2. The rig is full of gasoline, so no problem driving that far on 'one tank'. 3. The water is not naturally all the way up the fortress, they explain later that he pumps it up from the ground (you even sinned the scene where they explain that).
+Ollie Yup!!
+Ollie Actually the rig is filled with mother's milk. That's what they were transporting to Gastown. They had gasoline in the smaller spherical tank, but they ditched it earlier in the movie.
+Sander Wilbrink Actually the big tank on the back has 3 compartments, just like in real life. That's how it also had water in it. They are made like this so you can transport more them one liquid etc.. at a time.
Dan K Oh, didn't know that! Cool.
+Ollie actually it was full of aqua cola.. even later in the harpoon scene you can see it....anyway Mad Max is amazing!!!
Honestly don’t give a shit, this movie is amazing.
This movie blew my balls off, it was absolutely kickass.
My thoughts exactly lol
You don't have to argue with the video to love the movie (see: "the people who made the video")
The majority of the "sins" are nonsense anyway.
It was meh I mean it’s fun to watch and a lot of badass scene which I love but my fav is Road warrior
What I love is that Miller literally told his wife that if a guy edited this, it wouldn’t have been so cool. She won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects for MMFR.

Yeah my dad loved it
Furiosa actually was a part of his harem. That’s why she was so passionate about getting the other girls out because she knows what it’s like. She apparently couldn’t have children or something like that so he allowed her to do what she does instead.
Guitar Guy: "Sorry for the distraction, guys.. Anyway, here's Wonderwall."
The warboys riding past: "Do you take requests?"
Furiosa is infertile. That's how she escaped that life. She just also happened to be good at driving trucks.
+Levi Ackerman Is she? I just figured that's why she didn't have an arm, someone (maybe her) cut it off so she could be a wargirl rather than a breeder.
+XBlueM0ndayX Nonsense. Why would the lack of an arm make anyone more apt for war than for reproduction? The polar opposite around would be true, actually >_>
Isawa De La Pradera People with one arm are generally less attractive than two-armed people.
+XBlueM0ndayX Indeed. Still far from an impediment for reproduction, as opposed to fighting.
Isawa De La Pradera She can still be a really good driver with one arm though. And yeah, it doesn't stop her from reproducing. It stops people from wanting to reproduce with her, ya dig?
99% of these sins can be explained away as "because it looks rad"
Actually, almost all of the sins are explained IN THE MOVIE.

Is this officially the movie with most sins removed so far?
+Kevin Cheng I think interstellar had more.
+ItsEthereal Interstellar had 2 removed, this had 7 sins off. EDIT: Never mind, rechecked, no. However, the sins removed in Interstellar were negating ones: He sinned them first, then had to retract them. I wouldn't call that removal.
+Kevin Cheng I think Godzilla had the most based off recent memories. There were several large sin retractions during the cool parts.
Wall-E
+Kueller917J Yeah he removed 5 for the Mortal Kombat-finisher scene alone
I'm going to anti-sin for kicks: - Immortan isn't wasting the water, where do you think it goes? Right back into the ground where he pumps it from, he's actually saving water while tricking the people into believing they are getting more than they are. - Waiting until completely out of view? Impossible, they can clearly see gastown and the road leading directly to it through that telescope. - Max is tied to the front of the car to supply Nux with blood. Seriously, you can even see the blood in a tube in that shot. . - "Spike cars would only kill flesh" you see people jumping onto vehicles literally dozens of times in this movie. - Car sucked into tornado when truck isn't. The truck is like 15 times heavier than it. - Shooting favourite's leg is literally the only reason Max chose to join Furiosa rather than turning her over to immortan. - Australians using Australian slang in Australia isn't a sin. - "Lucky sand dune". EVERYTHING is sand dune. Jeez. - Fuel doesn't explode when you shoot it and handgun bullets don't go through solid metal. - She did get out of the way of the rock, the truck broke most of the rock off. - "No boundaries going left or right". They are in a BOG and that is the only road through. The track vehicle goes through because it can ride on a bog. - She is naked because she is bait. Max said she was bait 20 seconds earlier. - The pole cats weren't there earlier, they came from gastown and that is the first opportunity they have to be used. Come on Cinemasins, most of those sins were either blatantly obvious or explained in the movie.
Apparently it's not Australian but German. Even then they aren't swears.
_- Max is tied to the front of the car to supply Nux with blood. Seriously, you can even see the blood in a tube in that shot._ Also because it makes them produce adrenaline, which is transferred to the driver through the blood tube.
+Alex Haines No, shlanger is Aussie slang
+xSlaminSamx It probably comes from langer which is slang in some parts of Ireland.
+Foxtrot369 As a german I'm sorry to have to tell you that shlanger is not a german slang for anything. While it is true that the german word for snake is "Schlange" it is not used in the sense of penis. There is the term "Hosenschlange" (pants snake) but that has a silly or childish connotation to it and would not be used in an insult like that. Yet it would make sense to assume that the australian slang term was derived from something german immigrants may have used. Fun fact: In the german dub of the movie they translated the shlanger part to lizards, changing it from a sexual reference to an innuendo to the opening scene, implying that even in the post apocalypse eating lizards is a rather savage thing to do.
Nux was honestly my favorite character. Was genuinely upset when he died.

One of the best parts of this review was how they took away a sin for the guitar scene without needing to say a single word
The reason why they are bald is because they use mothers milk as their main food, which lacks iron, hence they have anemia and they need more blood (George Miller is a Physician and all the sick people in the movie are based on real-life cases)
Mohammad Mahroo You're dumb.
No U
the reason the one guy has anaemia is because he has lymphoma which is very obvious if you watch the movie and come from a medical background.

Actually universal donors are fairly common, O- blood type is one of the most common
But it is high octane crazy blood. That probably isn't as common.
So by universal donor, it means that Max has a really common blood type? I don't really know much about blood types
@@Tavemanic yes, basically all bloodtypes other than O- are random mutations
Too be fair, Immortal Joe figured they'd probably come back because he knew there was probably nothing in the green place. There was likely only a small known route through the mountains, from where they came from, so they couldn't circle them. They likely made counterbalancing sticks while waiting, in case they returned. Furiousa likely refilled the gas tank after the sandstorm chase.
Shes naked because shes bait, thats why there are mirrors dangling around that thing, so cars far away can see it. Just sayin' lol Great video
+AyVee The real sin was no lap dance it just went unsaid
+Isabella Price I think you missed a running gag from this YT series
+Isabella Price found the feminist
+AyVee Master 'bait' more like
+Isabella Price What are you even talking about?
The lookout was naked because she was bait.
Yep m8
Kyle Reiner i think he got that green lantern, i think what he wants to point out is that why would she have to even be naked when a fully dressed women would have triggered the same response...but if that is his reasoning then its a sin on him for questioning the need for a woman to be naked..ding
But now heres my question...how can you be both a look out and bait? Like if a worm on a hook warned a fisherman about fish
+Oddball Skull She's up high so she can safely see the enemy from a distance and once she's been seen can lure them in while at the same time warn those on the ground of their approach
Yea but when you look out your looking for enemies and when your bait your drawing them in why risk both why have people see you in the first place and fight them
The reason the warboy fell in love with her is because it's the only time he knew affection
The best thing is that even the video host found it hard to sign this movie. Simply because it doesn't hide behind veils and give an illusion of being anything other than what it really is. Non stop high octane carnage. This is one of my favorite movies of all time and the mad Max movie we both wanted and needed!
I don't know/remember when or how Furiosa lost her arm, but that might be the reason for her to not be one of the "baby factory" ladies. He wants them to be perfect.
+Roos Rommens (RoseRathbone) good point
She was infertile.
+Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen where was that explained, the comics?
Furiosa lost her arm in a battle for Immortan Joe. She became imperator afterwards.
+Elizabeth Merkens If memory serves, yes.
They are white and bald because black absorbs more heat and hair makes your head warmer (just a theory I just came up with)
thats actually a good theory
+Homer Simpson According to the Mad Max wiki, "Immortan Joe" puts to white powder on his skin to treat his skin condition/prevent sun burn. The followers wear the white powder to emulate him.
+Homer Simpson It's an interesting theory and partially correct, however they most most likely all bald because they are brought up from young boys to be a part of the fanatical cult of V8. As history has proven, in most cults one of the primary goals of the leader is to strip almost all individuality from the followers, to further inspire awe in themselves as the one who is different and above them. As someone else stated, the white powder is an emulation of their leader, and also similarly to Immortan Joe, it prevents harmful dust and such getting in things such as pus sores due to their deteriorating skin conditions.
+Homer Simpson if you listen to the news casts, people born in heavily radiated places become half-life which means they die halfway through there life.
+Homer Simpson They're all terminally ill because of a nuclear apocalypse. They're mere war-fodder This is why Immortan Joe's surgeon said his unborn child was "perfect in every way"

9:40 - I expected you to remvoe a sin when the flashmack/hallucination finally pays off and saves Max' life later in the movie. 9:43 - well, yes, they waited for all the fuel and possibly food that is stored in the War Rig. Otherwise, they wouldn't make it across.
the "guitar guy" is called Coma/doof warrior. the vehicle Coma plays guitar on is the doof wagon. now you know that if you didnt.
Semis have 300 gallon fuel tanks, even at 4 mpg (which is extremely low) that's still 1,200 miles! 1 sin removed!
What kind of semi are you looking at, I'm looking at a site that sells semis, one of theirs have two tanks that add up to 250 gallons for a large semi(Not all semis are equal, go figure). Although that's still a shitload of miles this truck is not in normal condition and has been changed to have more horsepower and use nitrous while driving on sand and is reinforced meaning it's heavier than it should be. I've seen classic cars in bad condition or changed to be purely for show that get 0.5-2 MPG, with that in mind and looking at the world they live in, do you really think that 4 MPG is "extremely" low?

The epilogue of satire and sampling was amazing!🤣 Nicely done. Thank you.
2:25 The reason Furiosa isn't part of Immortan Joe's harem is because she lost an arm. That is made clear by the fact that when Max inadvertently shoots one of the wives in the leg, Furiosa says to Max "you've damaged one of his wives, he's not gonna show you any mercy". Immortan Joe clearly isn't into scars, let alone amputees.
I thought it was because she was infertile

@@danielsilvadesouza3060 totally disagree. She's stunning even bald.
Most of the sins are for details that are never explained in the movie...but that's a BIG part of what I loved about the film. It didn't bother to explain everything - it respects our intelligence enough to know that it is unnecessary to explain them to anyone with a strong imagination and a keen eye, and that taking the time to explain everything would bog the film down like 90% of bloated action/sci-fi movies these days.
Couldn't agree more. If I want everything explained I can always read a book. Just like The Martian, the movie is a little bit different in the book. If you read the book, you can feel the loneliness of the protagonist because they need 30 minutes to receive a message.
+Derke73 Thank you. I fucking hate it when people complain that the movie doesn't explain everything. Just use your own damn imagination. Stopping everything just to explain shit is boring and ruins the flow of the movie.
Derke73 have you read the official prequel comics? They explain a lot and show some origins on all the characters. It's pretty great. I love this universe! Still no explanation on the people in stilts. Lol
+Derke73 What intelligence? This is a dumb movie with a shitty plot and lots of flashy effects for dumb people who like explosions and shiny things.
This is not the drama club, bruh.
you can remove the sin at 3:55- those flames were real, no CGI
point is, they looked real enough. You can't just shit on it becuase it's CGI or not. If it looks bad, then it's bad, but even if it's CGI , if it looks good enough, why is it automatically a sin?
awesome420ication the point is that the frames ARE real, and clearly, the actor isn't burning because of them

7:45 "Cysts" Those are metastatic tumours in the lymph nodes. All of the warboys probably have a mix of cancers due to radiation exposure. Long term radiation exposure would also cause some sort of myelodysplastic syndrome and make them all (eventually) transfusion dependent. You can tell George Miller was a doctor.... EDIT: I ignored some classical teaching at my own peril. Forgot that Nux mentions night sweats so combine that with everything else, a T cell lymphoma (caused by exposure by radiation still) is probably most likely diagnosis and the cause for transfusion dependence would be related to an autoimmune haemolytic anaemia rather than radiation exposure alone (although radiation exposure alone can cause that too). Thanks +45calGunslinger.
Oh that's neat. TIL.
+Jay Sea Le reddit army XD
Lotfi Adam the usage has spread way past reddit, I picked it up elsewhere.
So...the fact that they live short pain loving lives is because they are all dying of cancer? That's actually an interesting tid bit!
Colton Wilson It's the most logical scenario that I've got. Alternatively there could be some specific sort of high predisposition for leukaemia in Immortan Joe's lineage which would also cause everything but I like the radiation + cancer theory a bit more since the movies are supposedly post-apocalyptic.
Nux made a point that Max had "crazy blood" since he had to wear a muzzle, his blood was full of adrenaline. In the heat of battle Nux would want to keep Max agitated to supply him with adrenaline. Before directing Mad Max, George Miller worked as a doctor, placing Max on the front of the vehicle well thought out and important to the plot of the movie.
Lol, plot.
They have to keep him strapped to the front of the car, otherwise, if given the opportunity he would kill Nux and run away. He also wasn't a person to Nux and the Organic Mechanic, he was merely a Blood Bag to Nux, so his wellbeing was irrelevant
I have watched this film twice. If I were to watch it another two times, I still could not tell you what it is about.
I love how a point was taken off whem the flaming guitar guy was playing :) It like "We all know this is some ~you will never be this METAL~shit"...
Watching Lenny's daughter yanked away to the clip of Lenny singing Fly Away.. very nice.

Lenny cravits?
Kravitz, yes.

I'm pretty sure the slit in the chastity belts is so the women can still pee. (Y'all *are* aware that women's hoo-has are for more than just the pleasure of you strapping gentlemen, right?)
+LibrosOverHos no i was not, explain!
+LibrosOverHos Preposterous.
+LibrosOverHos You sound like a feminist complaining about cinimasins' feminism because he's not feminist enough to know how certain chastity belts work. Never mind the fact that he completely glossed over the treatment of blood bags because the women and pampered princesses are also farmed in a different way... No man can ever be feminist enough because they can never be woman enough.

Up next: Everything Wrong With Everything Wrong With Mad Max: Fury Road. Run time: 37 minutes.
I can't wait for the next one. It's all new, and takes place in Scotland. They're calling it "Plad Max".
Then the family friendly spinnof of splatoon version
Plaid.
Why does everyone love this movie so much? It has literally no story line and barely any decent dialog... the only thing it has going for it is eye candy and explosions, Michael Bay has taught us explosions doesn't make a movie good.
+TheHumbernator Completely agree with you, btw expect a rain of fanboys now calling you stupid for not liking it....
It's not the amount of action, destruction and explosions that people love. It's how brilliantly and originally they are filmed and incorporated into the movie that everyone loves. Michael Bay just throws exploding shit at the screen and hopes it sticks. In Mad Max you can tell that every explosion and every piece of flying shrapnel was carefully and lovingly considered.
+TheHumbernator it's a fun, action filled movie, with amazing visuals set in a creative and interesting universe. it's an action movie, the point is not to tell a complex story, and instead of having one dimensional characters who do the things they do for some bullshit reason like they killed her daughter/wife/friend/partner etc, they create interesting characters with little to no backstory so they dont have to focus attention and spend time creating scenes dedicated to telling a backstory no one cares about, so instead we have time for things like a dude playing an electric flamethrower guitar in a giant truck. Michael bay movies are a walking cliche, with dumb characters, dumb story, and uninteresting visuals. it's an action movie, it's main objective is to show action, not story.
+TheHumbernator That's exactly what I want to know.
+TheHumbernator : Wish I knew. I found it as boring as Fallout 3. Hopefully George pulls a New Vegas and puts some story/character into whatever follows this one.
Day 1033. Running low on supplies. Still not a single sign of any Star Wars EWWs. Hope is slowly diminishing. I don't think we can survive much longer out here. For the love of George Lucas, please send immediate help.

+ikschrijflangenamen Did they say so?

6:53 Fuel trucks don't explode when being fired upon. Especially not ones carrying Diesel. That's just a movie trope, along with "car explodes upon crash" and "bullets kill you underwater".
10:43 good old spraying fuel straight in the intake, LOVE IT
for a world that's low on fuel they sure know how to waste it :)
+WASDxMerceless Was was the sickest burn I have heard all week. I tip my fedora to you, stranger!
true
Well with a significantly less populated earth, they actually have a good amount of fuel if you think about it. They have a refinery, and relatively few vehicles to use up fuel.
+GestapoSantaClaus yeah,.but that doesn't mean that they can waste it like that.
+WASDxMerceless There's GASTOWN for a reason, blood bag!
04:15 That crash isn't CG. The guy flying off it is, but the actual car flip is real.
+Rowan J Coleman The shot of the car flipping around may have been practical, but the front-on shot of it first hitting the trap really looks like CGI to me.
***** Yeah, but it's not. If you look up Mad Max B-Roll you can see the set footage and it's a practical shot.
+SynchronizorVideos I think things like these demonstrate the power of the placebo effect. The whole thing is practical except for the guy flying off. Watch the behind the scenes. They have basically every camera angle covered for that shot. People are too cynical of CGI these days. Everything that looks air brushed or with a filter on it is automatically CGI... tsk.. tsk ...
Rowan J Coleman I believe they flipped a car for that sequence, but that one front-on angle sure looks like CG. Maybe they put a CG replacement over the original stunt for some reason. I could be wrong, but it just doesn't look like it's lit the way a real car would have been. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to bash the film; I think they did a great job with it, and there's nothing wrong with mixing in CG and practical effects together to make a sequence work. That's what makes Jurassic Park stand up so well more than 20 years later. If you only look at the shots with the CG t-rex, it looks pretty dated. But when those shots are interspersed with the excellent animations & practical effects, you don't notice.
***** Oh yeah I have no problem with CG either. What I think they did for that shot was shoot the stunt for real but composite that element into the shot later. They do that all over the film, shoot a bunch of different things and then put them together digitally.
I'm the problem if I expected this incredibly entertaining film to have some logic in its storyline or any semblance of realism in its entirety. Whoever conceptualized this film is a mad genius.
It’s actually a really logical movie the more u watch it
The fact you showed Doof Warrior's intro, said nothing, and took a sin off, is why I subscribe and keep coming back.
i liked when you took out a sin for the guitar guy, without even saying a word
I'm pretty sure Furiosa was exempt from Immortan Joe's baby factory because she's barren. I think there was a deleted scene that explained that part.
Are they saying it in the movie? I was thinking it was because Joe was turn off by a one arm women. (who know, he may even believe she is barren because of this. What kind of knowledge they have considering everyone believe a man to be immortal)
Her missing arm is a congenital birth defect. So, while she isn't barren, it would be considered undesirable for her to bear children (at least, within this society), which is why she isn't one of Immorten Joe's wives.
I think because of her arm too
Wrong. From the Wiki, which combines what was known in the movie, told in interviews, and put in the comic that later told their backstories: After she came to The Citadel she was traded into Immortan Joe's hands to become one of his Wives. He tried to breed with her but she was barren. As a result Immortan Joe gave Furiosa to one of his Imperators who let her ride on the War Rigs and taught her the art of war. When her mentor was killed she took over his command. Furiosa became Immortan Joe's finest warrior and earned the rank of Imperator. She lost her arm during one of the battles while serving Immortan Joe. She was the only woman among the military ranks of Immortan Joe's army. Her nickname was "Bag of Nails". Furiosa was ordered by Immortan to protect the five wives from Rictus Erectus and his hot temperament. At first she never engaged with the women, even after witnessing the rapes and medical procedures performed on the Five Wives. One night Furiosa noticed Splendid attempting to perform self-abortion but she stopped her, furious about the fact the Five Wives could not appreciate the luxurious life that they had. After weeks spent protecting the Five Wives, Furiosa started to become protective of them, especially after Organic Mechanic called them for a routine medical procedure and to act as entertainment for Immortan Joe, which resulted in the Dag's rape and her pregnancy. Furiosa explained to the Five Wives that she can take them to the Green Place even though she was not sure if it still exists. Right after revealing that, she was relieved of her duty as The Five Wives' protector and was given a new War Rig. She was then presumably performing routine supply runs to Gas Town and the Bullet Farm until one night she appeared again in the Bio Dome and ordered The Five Wives to go with her. She hid the women in the tanker of the War Rig and left Miss Giddy in the Bio Dome vault with a shotgun, as she was too weak to survive the journey.
Or she is too kick ass to put aside. She was his top person.
I just watched this movie tonight for the first time and it was fantastic. I love how there’s a bunch of shit that needs explanations but they don’t explain anything, the movie doesn’t have time for cumbersome exposition. So many times I’m like “what the fuck is THAT?” Or “What the fuck is GOING ON??”
The swamps actually has some places more derivable than other, that 1st of all explains the sin why the car is stuck one moment, then climbs hills with ease, anyone who has done any heavy off-roading will assure you this - it actually is like this irl, the 2nd off all, that's why all the cars behind the ones blown up stops - that is sort of a "road" (more derivable space), probably most well equipped offroaders or machine with tracks can easily drive around, which is also what we see later
Sin Correction 9:25 .. The lookout was bait and was naked to lure in people.
why did she have to be naked....its not like the people would be like "you know what? she has clothes. Let's leave her there and find one without clothes "
Mostly to lure in Men I guess, since they hate them especially
+TOthaknee I think his point is any man, especially in that world, would have tried to take her whether she was naked or not. She was probably only naked because the movie said so. No real reason.
It's pretty easy to see that someone's naked from a distance. Seeing the way that women are treated in this fictional universe, along with the fact that non-mutants are a rarity, means that they would also try to put in the effort to get here even if she's on the tower. Plus it allows them to gauge what kind of people they are, if they wanted to do something besides pick them off from a distance.
Lucille First of her Name, Queen of the Saviors hahaha exactly what I was thinking!

They've kinda explained the point about the water in the movie, if you were watching and listening
CinemaSins don't do watching or listening
what was the point of the water?
One of the best comedies in recent years.
The man with theirs guitar is literally the best character in any movie
Red Comet the guitar player was riley keough's real husband
His name is Iota.
You mean the Doof warrior?😁
His name is literally the Doof Warrior which makes it even better
@1:58 Ummmm maybe those crane-hook-pulling hooks are always left right by the door because they are used all the time for pulling in cargo.
My immediate thought too.
@@thesprawl2361 he gets really petty on here sometimes so of the things he picks on can very easily explained...

Honestly my favorite movie of the 2010s
how is max being a universal donor a ex machina? it was set-up in the beginning of the movie.
Exactly.........it was set up at the beginning of the movie so it would pay off at the end.
+BilboB I agree. Deus Ex Machinas are suppose to come out of nowhere to resolve the problem.
+Tommy Carr Deus ex machinas are highly convenient situations/objects/people or the combination of these three that come out of nowhere, are not explained at all or are very poorly explained, and magically solve important problems of the plot through lazy storytelling. Max being a universal donor was a plot artifact planted at the beginning of the movie, and it played a role during the development of the story even before the final act of the plot came into play. Of course, at the end of the movie it seemed like a highly convenient plot device, but it doesn't fully qualifies as a deus ex machina because it was actually explained, it didn't come out of nowhere, and it didn't solve the problem through some vague bullsh*t explanation. In the ancient greek, many tragedies used to feature a "god" at the climax of the story. They usually descended this actor to the stage via a machine (an archaic version of a crane) and this guy playing the god resolved the conflict and ended the drama through this divine, highly convenient intervention. That's why the latin phrase "deus ex machina" (god of the machine) is used to express a cheap and advantageous plot device.
Erik Velasco Erik's right. If anything, Max's universal donor stasis is a Chekov's Gun.
Daniel S Exactly, friend, if anything it would be Chekov's gun. You shouldn't put the gun in the wall if it isn't going to be used later.
The significance of Max's constant flashbacks is that, during the final chase scene, it's a flashback of the little girl that causes Him to instinctively throw his in front of his face-- thus stopping the encroaching croasbow-bolt from going through his face like cake-frosting guy earlier.
That and it's a callback to his origin. Max is an ex-cop who went 'mad' after a gang killed his wife and son. The girl is another kid he failed to save, Glory. Part of the whole arc of Fury Road is that Max is a wreck of a human being, nearly animalistic, after years of the wasteland grinding away at this humanity.
It's not just that scene. The flashbacks show Max's character arc (and mental state). He's plagued by guilt to the point that he's just surviving, not really living. His flashbacks become crippling, distracting him when he needs to fight or run. He's become a nameless nobody with no one to care for, which is what he thinks he needs to do to survive. He initially refuses to help the women not because he doesn't care, but because he can't bare the thought of failing them. When he almost allows the women to drive off without him, his flashbacks (which lessened the more he helped them), come back with a vengeance. When he decides to help them take the Citadel, he only has one more flashback and that one saves his life. By trying to help, he's earned his redemption and he's no longer being haunted (whether they're supposed to be literal ghosts or manifestations of his guilt). When he and Furiosa succeed, he's earned his name back in his own mind. He's back to being Max.

I like that you used the word 'encroaching.'
The shot following knucks then going around the doof wagon is the single greatest shot I've ever seen. The moment i saw that, i knew i was going to fucking love this movie.
Big respect to cinema sins for being totally silent at the scene of Doof Warrior playing, and hearing the sin being removed! The most removed sins from any movie that's been covered...ssSSS✨DING!
A few more things: when the pregnant woman was on the outside of the truck, she grabbed the exhaust, granted it was wrapped in exhaust tape, but she would have still gotten burned. The truck's engines didn't have air filters, they would have been totally fucked after driving around in that dust. Spitting gas into the intake would have only made the engine run rich and would not make more power. And one more small thing: the car that got destroyed by flipping into the pit had BFG all-terrains on the rear and mud-terrains on the front, it would make more sense to have the mud-terrains on the rear.
I think it was nitrous not gas they were spitting in the engine right?
Abe4489 Nitrous is a gas (as in a fume) not a liquid.
+ChadWorthingham You're a pretty fun guy.
+ChadWorthingham fun fact: it was water en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_injection_(engine)
Exactly what I was saying.
Another sin: 160 days? Say they only travel 10 hours a day, at a low speed of 25 kph, that's 250 kilometers per day, thus 40,000 km in 160 days. 40,000 km is *Earth's circumference*. Where the heck are they trying to go?!
I think that was a way to say that the whole world became a desert.
Wouldn't that raise more questions? E.g. where did all that water disappear (to outer space?), and why go the whole way around the Earth, etc.
Nicolas Daoust Maybe the water in other places was poisoned like in the green valley? Maybe it was underground and needed special means to be extracted (like in the citadel)? Maybe it was scattered in small oasis like Mad Max 3 shows? The movie doesn't need to answer things that can be discovered by thinking, that's what made the movie so great actually. I think they were trying to find other villages, that's why Max convinces them to go back to the citadel because they wouldn't find anything beyond the salt.
Oh! I meant ocean water. No way Australia is no longer land-locked... Mind you, I actually *loved* this movie, I just have no idea why they chose 160 days.
Nicolas Daoust Look at this crazy theory I just had: What if the salt used to be an ocean in the past, but the water was dragged and only the salt remained? The point is, even though we don't know what happened to the ocean, the good is that there are interpretations. Maybe George Miller will explain it somewhere else.
I think this is the first Cinemasins video I've seen which ended with a sin reduction. Of all the movies this was definitely the right movie to get that honour
Watching this and thinking about this excellent movie makes me weep that we may not get to see another Mad Max movie by the great George Miller (74) simply because of pathetic Hollywood production court battles. So sad.
I think they came to a peaceful agreement and they are working on another mad mac
I'm pretty certain majority of the flame effects and stunts are real right?
+Necro Mesmerownz Yeah a lot of the backgrounds are CGI but Miller always has relied on mostly practical effects. The scene with the motorbikes jumping over the trucks is all practical which I found incredible honestly.
Yeah! Thats what I like to see in modern cinema. Screw CGI. I understand CGI is kinda needed for a lot of modern cinema ideas, and I understand that. But less CGI rocks! :)
There is a lot of CGI in the film but it's not for the effects, usually. The backgorunds and stuff are CGI.
Ricardo Bitterman Yeah I got that :D I understand using CGI for the backgrounds and for the vehicle crashes etc. as thats likely very difficult to produce physically :)
+Necro Mesmerownz all stunts/crashes/fire all real. CG was only used to remove safety cables, some rigging, compositing, and for some backgrounds to vary the landscape/add mountains & extra terrain when necessary. Nearly everything was shot for real, practical, everything. Absolutely mind-boggling
