The Winnipeg Jets have been pushed to the brink of elimination after losing 5-1 to the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday afternoon. The Jets are down 3-1 in this best-of-series, with Game 5 on tap for Tuesday night.

Avs fan here I think you are spot on about the game plan comments I also have to admit the avs have got some b.s powerplays from the refs but some blatant ones had to be called.

Elephant in the room: the Jets entered game 4 with a losing goalie. If he starts in game 5, this is hockey malpractice. LB us a Jet and deserves a start.

Jets had a punchers chance if they played their game… but they haven’t. The AV’s talent level is that much better and Bednard has exposed our weakness, which has been there all year…our D. Pressure them and we become a turn over machine. 37 masked the problem all year.

Coming into the series I did not think this was a slam dunk, as many media members thought. The Avs have BY FAR the 2 best players and Rantanen is the 3rd best player. I did think the jets had a good chance of winning. Jets taking penalties/penalty kill would have us losing this series no matter what. The narrative that we have more depth, and other than Colorado’s first line we are going to dominate is the embarrassing part. Still love the boys! Hope we can play well Tuesday and send it back to Denver for game 6

We all had high expectations for this team. What a disappointing outcome. Still love the Jets, but they are Ava-rattled. The Jets seemed so solid. They are as solid as Jello right now. You are right Sean- it’s not the game plan: it’s the execution.
I have said it few times live since the first game , Jets struggled against speedy teams throughout the season and Avs are fully exposing it. I also think overall fitness of the team is not there for playoffs. Every loosing playoff series since 2018 we run out of gas .
Jets are overwhelmed with the Avs speed and just cannot play their defensive style of hockey. After 3 losses in a row, I also believe they have been mentally defeated.

Same old, same old, the more things change the more they remain the same. Obviously Wheels wasn't the issue. Stars aren't scoring, Helle isn't stopping pucks. They need to sign LB and move Helle out, maybe 55 too. Lets just hope the Avs put them out of their misery (and us) and get rested up to kick Vegas's butts.
Oh wheeler was the issue and he passed his entitlement to 55.
LB into the lineup can’t hurt. Helle has been shell shocked. He can’t win the game(s) by himself. Boston uses both…

There has been no real effort from the jets. They have been totally embarrassed.
Where is Ehlers, Conner, Vilardi, Tiffili and the list goes on. Only goal from Schmidt? Really. Conner is a floater. Our Mitch Marner. Jets are just bad in the offseason. Regular season means nothing.
We lost the series in the second game. Tied at 2 Bucky lets it one off the face off..Then gets beat by that scoring machine Manson on a break...thats not a number one tender..didn't even bring up the clusterF*&^ behind the net...how does bucky start game 3..???? Wtf.... well, thats it for this year....
New game plan?? Where the hell is the passion and effort? how about everyone skating a little harder? how about a bigger effort and show some inner fortitude? When is Ehlers going to wake up?

Literally said all of this to your fan base you cannot switch systems from game to game Bowness is not at fault… he is not on ice playing the Jets are trying to outscore the Avs which they cannot do… simple they were the best defensive team in NHL, best goalie in NHL their game is playing a defensive game taking advantage of their chances then being. Too many passengers too many unnecessary penalties and an avs team that elevated their game and it should be over already but for an off night by avs goalie Shameful performance by jets I understand getting beat but not without a fight again Nothing ever learned by this team. I’ll add how painful it is for me to say this but I can’t make anymore excuses for this team

CORRECT, it is simply an empirical FACT that Bucky boy has been terrible. Sports analysts engage in unnecessary over speculation of the obvious to justify what they do. I don’t come here to listen to them. I come here to read comments like yours telling them what irrelevant wind bags they are. So thanks for that.
Salty much? Colorado found their legs, and are pressuring the living daylights out of WPG. Blaming the hosts of the podcast? Jets backend (2nd/3rd pairs) has been fully exposed by Col speed. Dumb penalties are the symptom of being surrounded at every turn. AV’s just pouring it on.
They walked back their takes, that shows humility and is good enough for me. If you discuss the game of hockey long enough, you're going to end up with a bad take or two. That applies to us all. Hockey is a humbler.
I totally agree with the sentiment that Hellesuck is being babied by the team. Stats are FACTS, PROOF, EVIDENCE that he has ABJECTLY FAILED in this series AT LEAST as much as the worst individual FAILURE on the team. IN Fact, it is quite likely that he initiated this ABYSMAL failure of confidence and lack of energy.
