GOOD. We must fight for our overseas allies as we learned during the 1958 Taiwan Strait Crisis and 1950 and 1966 Korean wars. We learned this too as recently as 1999 Kosovo.

"instead of investing in infrastructure for example" I am in provincial Russia and there is a lot of infrastructure projects going on, arguably more than before 2022, new sewer pipelines, widening road in preparation for a new bridge etc. Our oligarchs were syphoning money from Russia to the West. West decided to close that possibility. Now inside Russia thee are tons of money. Government having more money too. Before if you stole money from government you could go to London with it. If you want to sanction Chinese banks, do it, but don't say it's because of Russia because your decision to impose sanctions on Russia was your sovereign decision, not china's, so it's entirely your business but the Chinese will respond given that it's a hostile action against their country.
