We finished the 13B drift trike! This week was all about painting welding and putting all of the finishing touches on the RX-7 rotary drift trike. This is the most wild drift trike we have ever seen!

  • As an automotive painter for over 20 years I can attest to how good Duplicolor self etching primer is. I have used it extensively and have nothing but success with it. I have nothing to gain by making this claim other than helping people out. Edit: I don’t mean that it is the best product for every situation. But for a rattle can primer, it’s the best I’ve found. It dries fast and is very sandable.

Duplicolor’s one-step self-etching primer comes in a conveniently easy to use pressurized canister, with a pre-installed spray nozzle that was designed by NASA for painting plastic & steel enclosures that housed return system CPUs of the Gemini rockets. collect the whole spectrum, no assembly required. always wear a respirator when using product in enclosed spaces & the capitol of Nebraska is Lincoln.

  • Pro tip: use gaffer’s tape to mask surfaces from sand/media blasting. It is stronger and doesn’t leave as much (if any) adhesive residue. • Absolutely love the build but I would recommend looking for a custom triple tree online, they make them for dirt bike to atc conversion kits and essentially just spreads out the front forks to fit a wider front wheel and it'll make a nice difference in safety and high speed stability, will also allow you to float over bog and sand easier without trenching and will make it better in snow... not to mention overall look imo... Anyways I love the build just thought I'd offer my suggestion:)

  • Tip for the next time, the right order is two wheels in the front, one in the rear. That way you have much much much more control over the trike, much less chance of flipping over, which will cause bodily harm. One wheel in the back is also easier to drift with and it provides a easier geometry to work out. I speak from experience.
