frieren is really different anime than most of anime out there. most of anime story line is begin with A to Z. but freiren is a story from Z to A. where all storyline is very peaceful, slow paced journey. Yet everytime there is a fighting scene, the production never let you down. they give you all!!! one of the greatest animation fighting scene!
One reviewer said that the fight scenes didn't need to go that hard
This is a show that as I was watching it one word would always return to my mind "beautiful" The story is slow, deliberate even when months pass by in minutes, the art is beautiful when its slow which helps sell the emotion yet the animation is fluid and beautiful in combat, the music is beautiful and on point for the scene, this show didn't need great combat animation yet like everything else, its beautiful
For me its to slow and often kinda boring it feels like many episodes are just filler
Filler is anime only episodes to fill a broadcast slot. Your definition is from someone seeing a Filler episode discussed and they got the wrong idea. Filler can be high action battles and good ones or anything else. Your definition has nothing to do with the word fill especially as those slow episodes give others great enjoyment and many cry over them they are important to the story and fill nothing. There a lot more to fiction than high speed action plots. But if fine to find it not to your taste your complaint should have stuck to saying the pacing is too slow for my tastes. @@gattogigi9688

This fight reminds me of what a mage at the maximum possible power could pull off. Overwhelming firepower with near perfect control.
In the manga, the fight lasts just 3 pages, so you know the animators had fun and creativity with this one!

I would love to see the fight between frieren and the og party and the demon king, i can only imagine how insane it would have been if this one fight at the end of this season was this epic.
considering they back then couldn't beat Qual but only seal him, yet in current time Frieren straight up 1-shot him with her most basic spell, it'd be fair to assume she'd absolutely body the Demon King in her current form, and also her entire party. Frieren now is an entirely different beast compared to back then, even though sh'es a mage of peacetime, not war. She's just that absurdly strong and why Serie is so disappointed that she won't pursue her full potential.

This fight was EPIC! It IS EPIC! The animators did a wonderful job with the entire season and the fight scenes, the way they showcase the magic, the way it seems out of not only this world but out of their own as well; it's captivating. Frieren's magic has looked like everything from galaxies to breaking through something digital. It is versatile and powerful and yet she only uses it against "herself" or to help her teammates. She's so OP and yet she doesn't use that overbearing power against others, just simple spells used wisely. This one fight added an understanding of another layer of her character that was only somewhat hinted at throughout the season. Such an amazing story.

We only get small bits of seeing himmel in action. I wish there was a whole scene of seeing him in full on battle. Show us why he was capable of taking down the demon king. That would of been so epic.
If it gets a S2, we would see more of that.

Frieren fight scene maybe only last couple minute in the series, but it pack with 10 times more frame than of any other series fight scene.
Hello, you have become even better at creating amv. video editing just got better. I’ve also gotten better at pacing my shots and doing things that really add depth and grace. And although I myself don’t understand how this is actually done, the staging of the shots does not always suit the music. I feel it. Although I understand that you decided to limit yourself to only the 2nd trial arc without adding anything else. It really doesn’t seem that easy to choose a video for such a complex song. Although in many places you managed. Grow, experiment, don't give up!

I might have wanted a mimic for the last scene.
The tiny black hole was done right. The vast majority of stuff trying to fall in it gets trapped orbiting it at very high speed gaining lots of energy so glowing hot. But this major slow down of stuff to feed the black hole means Hawking Radiation being sent out by the hole is greater in effective mass and causes it to shrink to unstable and causes the Black Hole to explode and stop existing.

Not fond of the 60FPS because it kinda makes the animation pacing they intended off. Overall I really like this one despite the grainy effect, this song fits it so well. Great job!
