Hersh Goldberg-Polin's mother speaks out after Hamas releases hostage video of her son
For more than 200 days after Hersh Goldberg-Polin was taken hostage by Hamas on Oct.7, his mother hadn't heard his voice or seen video that proved he was alive. But that changed this week, when Hamas released a propaganda video showing Hersh - an Israeli-American - alive with his left arm amputated. CBS News' Debora Patta sat down with his mother, Rachel Goldberg-Polin, to ask about the "overwhelming and emotional" moment she saw that video and how she hopes all parties involved can reach a compromise to end the suffering.

Unfortunately that will never happen. War is more profitable than peace. People live such short lives and some people are impatient and want to amass as much wealth as possible in as short a time as possible. The day Hamas kidnapped them they contacted Israel's government to negociate and Netanyahu said wouldn't negociate with"terrorists". As Israel was already bombing and Israel didn't want to negociate, Hamas asked Israel for a ceasefire and they would release all people without negotiation but Netanyahu didn't want. Probably they didn't tell this in Israel.

That's untrue. In the first place Gaza was under Egyptian control and the West Bank under Jordanian control till the war of 1967. Secondly, as long as your children don't turn to terrorism they are not in any danger.
