  • That was so on-brand for Crafty, I've seen that exact game play out multiple times for him. Picks a great hiding spot and lasts ages on the first round. Finds someone straight away on his seeking round but gets immensely unlucky and they escape, a couple more people frustratingly escape and he struggles to make up for the lost time. Next round he has a good hiding spot but bad luck reveals him when no-one even knows where he is, and then on the final round, the first hider-turned-seeker immediately stumbles into him.

  • Crafty may have failed to defend the mighty gushen, but i most certainly will not. Here is undeniable proof as to why the beautiful bois of the seaside kingdom are infinitely cooler than taxis. POINT NUMERO UNO - Unlike the drab taxi which can be found nigh anywhere, and is honestly a sore sight with its awful school-bus yellow coloring, our friend, the gushen, is **unique.** He is based upon one of the finest breed of creatures-the octopus, only one degree separated fro the most elegant of sea creatures, the succulent squid. Can you truly look me in the eye and say a bland old taxi is cooler than an octopus? Stop lying to yourself. The answer is obvious. Even in the realm of colors, the gushen reigns supreme. In their natural habitat, the beautiful gushen takes on an elegant sheen of purple. Did you know the color purple is well appreciated for its rarity, and has historically been associated with royalty and wealth? Clearly this color was chosen for the gushen to portray their eternal beauty. LE POINT DEUX - Poo may claim the taxi's machinery elevates it above our spirited young seafellow, but HE IS WRONG. The gushen is one of god's creatures, a natural existence that evolved to survive naturally within the world-a friend indeed. Ask yourselves this question, my dear reader: if you were to showcase a friend something cool, would you truly pick an average everyday taxi-a vehicle most known as the drunk man's carrier-or would you show them this beautiful round creature, never before seen in our reality? The taxi is common. The gushen is a legend. ARTICULATE ARGUMENT THREE - While the gushen may not best a vehicle in matters of physical strength, I denounce thy point and raise instead the following: not only does the gushen possess more speed than the taxis of New Donk City, it possesses the wonderful ability to fly by ejecting water from its butt. HOW IS THAT NOT COOL? Ah-em, as I was saying, the gushen is capable of both evading and out-maneuvering its opponent. The limitation of time the gushen is able to remain airborne is also not an issue, as due to its smaller size, this wonderful creature can squeeze into areas the taxi could only dream of. I would also argue that threatening to squish this beautiful creature into non-existence is a crime upon not only nature itself, but all of gushen-kind. These creatures deserve to live in peace, undisturbed by the filthy creations of man. This leads to my final argument. SAIGO NO POINTO - The taxi, the common filthy man-made object that it is aside, could never even begin to be compared against the gushen's natural environment. The clear beautiful ocean. The sea. The origin of all life. Without it, both you and I would be nothing. We are forever indebted not only to it, but to the beautiful creatures it houses. What does the taxi serve us? Streets full of filth? A denial of our human rights to move as we wish when we wish? THE TAXI GIVES US NOTHING. RISE MY SEA-ALIGNED BREATHREN! BELIEVE IN THE GUSHEN! AND BELIEVE IN THE BEAUTY OF ALL GUSHEN-KIND! ABANDON THESE MAN-MADE MACHINATIONS AND RETURN TO THE OCEANS FROM WHENCE WE CAME!

    • Rather than silver tongue, I think he's more nervous and isn't really good at quick thinking when it comes to the argument battles. Most of his arguments were giving very clear emotional & subjective vibes of just saying something without much support or explanation, especially the last one where he just presses on Yoshi being perfect beauty and nothing else to support it, cause that's an "I think" and not really intending to convince. That said, everyone has their strong suits and vice versa.

    • That's what introversion does to you. It makes it incredibly difficult to come up with things on the fly in random toss up topics. Things within Crafty's Bubble he is fine with like the coding stuff because he knows what to expect there, however since this is so random he locks up and struggles to come up with answers. So the reality is that Crafty is really really trying as hard as he can, but can't string things together like the others can. This is what he means by he isn't charismatic. If its more of a question of how deep does your knowledge go I believe he would win the vast majority of those kinds of battles.

Also weighing in on the Goomba vs Chain Chomp debate: Just saying, in Mario Tennis Aces, the Chain Chomp is shown holding the tennis racket in their mouth. In Marion Super Sluggers, the Goomba is shown telekinetically(?) manipulating a baseball bat with the same dexterity as characters with hands, ergo the Goomba is closer to the ideal of having hands!

Currently, the beta build was way too much in favor of the taggers when that's not how it works in the base game (generally, hiders tend to have the advantage because they see the seeker coming). Also wasn't too big a fan of the charisma check mini-games. I would love a version of this where it allowed for escape chases, allows for more opportunities to hide/escape. The trivia challenges are fun and definitely good additions, but you can't beat a good old dice battle. Especially with how quick they are.

  • Crafty dropped the ball here. He didnt mention the gushin boss fight, the fact gushin is also in the mushroom kingdom, or the power of flight that it gives. Gushin wins in regular races, and would destory a car with it's water jets. Also only mario boss where the cap change is the majority of the boss fight. Gushin sweeps taxi

  • NGL, Smallant Toad and Mario's impressions cleared imo. They were so much closer to the audio's voice than CJ's (even though CJ's impressions would've been better if neither of them got audios as base). I can only assume Smallant's audio wasn't as clear as the recording because it didn't feel CJ was that much of a better choice, if anything it was very close.

  • Loved the video!!!!!! Also, had a random idea if you guys ever do this kind of video again, but it's for a specific kind of situation. Say for example, there's like, 2 seekers, and they both somehow land on the same spot as a hider... What you could do, is make like the minigames a 2v1 type thing. For example, I'm not sure how this would work, but the two seekers would... Somehow share a drawing pad (some sort of online paint for more than 1 person) and then they draw together for 30 seconds, while the 1 person gets 1 minute. Something like that. I think that would be cool! Anyways, as I said, this was actually a SUPER COOL idea, and loved watching this all play out. You really outdid yourself Fir, like, you rock. Anyways, all the best :]
