I can remember as a kid, sitting and watching The Honeymooners with my parents!!! I never saw my Father laugh so hard!!!! It was teeth from ear to ear!!!! Those were some great memories!!!

I'm 76 now and I'd watched the Honey mooners since they furst started .I started 1st grade in 54 tlthats truly a great show
Always remember the lady of the ouse c is your queen and always help her in the house .then you'll live to see old age Take your queen a box of candy now ant then and if she cooks you do the dishes treat your lady like a queen and she will love you for it. I love having a good wife .I've got a good woman

This was the golden age for tv. Shows were family oriented Saturday nite honeymooners. Have gun will travel gunsmoke I am happy to have grown up in that era I just wished my kids and grandkids could have the same I would give anything to relive those days

To me no episode tops " The $99,000 answer " . Genius writing. Had us all thinking Ralph was gonna finally get his pot of gold only to fall face first before even getting out the gate.
Just 1 year and this show set the benchmark for sitcoms. Gleason and Carney were magic in a bottle 😅

That was episode 4, where they hire Thelma the maid, and it goes like this: Thelma: Okay. Ralph: [screaming] I told you to stop saying "Okay"! It's "Very good, sir"! [pointing to Norton and himself] Ralph: This happens to be my guest, and I am your employer! Thelma: Hmm, some guest and some employer. [pointing to Norton and Ralph in succession] Thelma: The simp and the blimp! Ralph: How dare you say that to me! Thelma: I quit!

I have not seen most of this for half a freakin' century. Pretty sure i have seen them all. Watched them with my father in the late fifties already in reruns. I remember some.. But it's like I'm watching for the first time!!! They were all beautiful!!!!

I noticed in episode three, I believe, that the Cramdon's kitchen sink was filthy. But in episode four, it was clean again. There's some good laughs in these episodes, even if you didn't include my favourite one. I'd still buy you a coffee if you ever came to my town.

Think this was on WPIX 11 at 10 or 11 oclock every weeknight. Almost the only thing on at the time so I never missed it as a kid.
WPIX is a great station like WNBC
It would come on at 11:30pm on WPIX in the late 70's & 80s
In the late 70's on WPIX at 11pm they would show The Odd Couple, The Honeymooners at 11:30pm & Star Trek at midnight but on Friday nights & weekend nights it was The Twilight Zone
And on Sunday (Monday) at 1am, Battlestar Galactica!

I think the show was on for only one, maybe two seasons, what a shame. The best comedy show ever! I think it was the Pery Como show that had much higher ratings. That guy was walking and sleeping at the same time.
Yes, it only ran from 1955 to 1956. There were only 39 episodes in total. However, we cannot blame the network for the shows ending because it was Jackie Gleason that did not want to do any more episodes after that. A great comedy classic!

Believe it or not this show was originally titled THE BEAST but Gleason and production team rejected it and settled on The Honeymooners. Good choice.

I saw a interview with Mr. Jackie Gleason and was ask that question and he said they ran out of ideas for scripts.
