  • Okay you're looking at a guy who came from prison, bonded with the dog, and it meant so much to him that he now helps other dogs! I can't think of a better success story if I tried

    • Marcin Świątko, you were probably shocked because you thought prisoners are evil. There is nothing like evil people. Everyone is born as innocent as anyone else. It is the story that forms people. In Germany, that is understood so prisons have the only reason to protect the civilisation and to help the prisoners to think about their lifes.

  • Every prison should have this program. Dogs give unconditional love and it's a good thing for the inmates . Since some are concerned not every prisoner should have a dog but every prison should have the program and be under the staff's control. The majority are going to be released at some point and caring for a dog is healthy. If a dog is mistreated the inmates will not tolerate it.

Just because time served doesn't mean he's worthy of the privilege of having people coming into contact or those whom forever have to live with that persons crime as no big deal deal... and move on. forever they should be forced to live labeled with that stigmatism so they never forget and always be humbled for their terrible crime they choose to inflict on innocent undeserving people or be given the benefit of doubt when something creepy just happened... Example .. how about you inviting a child molester to provide child care services for your children But know that earned ( yes I said earned background knowledge aka title ) no one forced that action and if they were it unfortunate ,but it is what is. Why honorable residents in this society should reserve the RIGHT to make educated decisions if that past act is something we won't to risk bringing into our world when we forced ourselves to obey the law!!!!!

    • B corp I mean he was most likely in there for drugs or stealing. But go off talking about way worse criminals who would be in prison for more years then him and who probably wouldn’t have been let out early. Plus he’s correct ‘Ex-prisoner’ he did his time he was released. He shouldn’t be called a prisoner his whole life just because he made bad decisions and has learned from them. The only people who should be labeled as a dangerous individual is a murder, pedos, and people you commit sexual assault. So you know people will know that did something way worse then drugs or stealing.

    • B corp People who sexuality assault others or murder others have the title of “ murderer” “child molester” “Pedophile” “Rapist” “Registered sex offender “ “kidnapper” etc....those are what they’re called And those are what they live by...not the prisoner. And so then no, people probably wouldn’t invite them to their home. But if someone is an ex prisoner or ex con and you know that they didn’t do something extreme like that then there should be no problem with them coming into someone’s home or being friends or be forgiven... if that person is comfortable with that. The system is messed up and innocent people go to prison all the time or people who got caught up with the wrong crowd or did something they felt they felt was the only way to survive or even made one bad decision. Judging others for mistakes they’ve made when they worked so hard to change and move on is just terrible. A lot of people deserve second chances.. not all but many. And that has nothing to do with the extreme murderers or rapists, etc. And I’m sure these prisoners who haven’t done terrible things and have made bad decisions will definitely remember this just as this guy has.

      @Adoredbyothers@Adoredbyothers4 жыл бұрын
    • Even murderer or in a single case molester is not always what it looks like. I worked in a womens prison. Ofcourse you can't say it is out loud, but some people that were murdered or in a single case, got a screwdriver in his ass (not the sharp side) had what was coming to them. Some women regret what they did, some women said, it was all worth it, rather a life in this cell than another hour with him in one home. I hope you know what I mean. If you work there, it takes all your strength not to hate every man if you hear most of these stories. Luckily we had the best male colleague's with ethernal patience and calmness. They really gave some trust back to them. Ones one of the male guards gave a guitar to a girl, later she said that it saved her live because she wanted to hang herself that night. Instead she's jamming every week with the guard and she got really good! She wants to do something with music when she gets out so we said we would all buy her first cd's. Don't judge someone if you don't know the story behind it.

Where I live, a guy who came here illegally from Peru, so he broke the law by coming here, broke the law and was in jail for 6 months, then was out on bail for arson, just BEHEADED a woman and left her body out on the street. And there are plenty of others just like him. Im sure they probably don't chose just any prisoners for this program.

      @scarlao@scarlao5 жыл бұрын
    • Siobhan O'Connor well I can only speak for my state, not the rest of the US. They are defenders, and rescuers of animals, yes sometimes it doesn't always end pleasant, but for the most part they take dogs to shelters to protect them from the streets, or abuse, etc. sometimes they have to make hard decisions in separating an animal from its home if aggressive, biting reports etc. hope that helped.
