I am surprised again and again how many catfish have the nerve to show up and say, "Sure, the photos are fake and I'm not the person you thought I was, but the messages were the real me." I respect the people, like Prophet, who are able to peacefully accept and walk away.
Yea it's their way of trying to shame and guilt the victim about having physical preferences in regards to dating. Thing is, most catfish's are just as guilty of having the same standard and this is why they go after folks who tend to _be out of their league_ and the only way they can get close enuff to them is to pretend to be someone the victim would likely be attracted to. The thing is he did... until he saw how she looks. I can totally see why she made the account. people judge your looks so much and fail to see the person inside. everyone says "Oh beauty is on the inside blahblahblahblah" yet, it's not. I know what it's like to want to hide behind a screen. Not that I've ever shown fake pics, but I'm afraid to show ANY pics because of judgement. Yes on the flip side, it's hard t realize you have been lied to about... what someone looks like or who they are. Its happened often to me and I've got to the point where, I'm skeptical about a lot of things I'm told online.
