Find someone who looks at you the same way Greig fraser looks at joe walker
Always love Film Editor because they often don't get the credit they deserve. Reelblend keeps killing it like always.
Greig reminds me a lot of Nicholas Britell-a consummate communicator about his craft.
you did it boys, again! my prayers have been answered. awesome awesome interview Sean and Kevin. can't wait to watch the Jaqueline and Patrice interview 🤌🙌
joe walker neeeeeds to do more voice work, it just instantly reminds me of the filmbook powerpoint in the movie
he did many 3-4 minute "filmbook" recaps for the promotional material (for dune part II)
How the fidgety fudge do you guys not have a million views per video? It blows my mind. Please don’t let KZhead’s lower view count discourage you. This is top tier educational, entertainment. Hello from Chicago. Go fridge yourself jake ;)
Tell a friend! 😁
Great interview! So insightful! Can’t wait for the 4k blu ray but I’m so bummed they cropped the imax image and we’re getting it in widescreen. Wish it could fill the whole tv
YES MORE DUNE ! ! ! Thank you so much for those interviews :D
Wonderful listening to Joe and great to see Greig on the show again! You can tell they enjoyed it. It’s cool you guys are getting time with other members of the crew, I’m looking forward to the next episodes. I’ve been going more and more to the theaters because of this podcast so thanks for posting! ✌️
An absolutely wonderful episode, man I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you guys for doing such incredible work. These conversations are so so rich🙏
A full 1.90:1 cut already exists for most IMAX theaters, would it have really been a burden to release that version in 4K?
Great episode and wonderful conversation. Joe and Greig are so interesting and a great duo to interview together. Can't wait for some of these upcoming episodes... good tease!
What a great interview thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
Two bonus episodes in a row on a Friday. RIP ReelBlend, it was a fun ride 😭
Is the show ending?
@@juiceyboy14 Not at all! We just got slammed with a bunch of stuff on and off the work calendar, so we've done some juggling. We just recorded with George Miller for FURIOSA this week! Will be on the channel closer to release.
Please dont over stop doing reelblend!!! At this point, I'm fully addicted to it!!@soconnell33
Why in the hell isn't the imax version included in the 4k bluray of Dune 2?
Yeah, it's really ridiculous, because based on this interview, it seems even cinematographer Greg Fraser is baffled by the Warner Bros decision regarding aspect ratio on the disk
Because it was shot on digital IMAX, when they do that, it basically means it’s was shot for 2.35:1 and they the sides slightly for a fake IMAX image. I saw Dune multiple times on scope and IMAX and noticed that the IMAX scenes weren’t as wide as the Scope screenings and that it was just fake IMAX
@@markgarcia8253 sure but then at least put the 1. 85 version on the bluray. I guess they're just holding it back to double dip later on.
@@markgarcia8253 I just watched official trailers (which were released in IMAX aspect ratio), compared them to the blu-ray, and I instantly noticed that in basically every frame you can see more on top & bottom in the IMAX version. Yes, in some shots they cropped slightly on the sides, but it's still better compromise to have full screen immersion even at the cost of some irrevelant information cut from the sides.
@@markgarcia8253 Only for Dune: Part One (although you seem slightly misinformed and most "imax" shots in part one do have a taller aspect ratio). However part two was filmed entirely on imax cameras and cropped only for the 2:39 version.
Great interview! What did you guys think was behind the Fall Guy underperforming at the box office despite the good reviews & WOM??There’s been so much debate on Twitter about different possible reasons, but I’d love to hear your take on it
Personally? I think audience members just make harder decisions about what they are going to see in a theater, and FALL GUY fell on the "I can wait to stream" for a bunch of folks. I did see someone bring up the fact that Gosling has struggled to open a movie (outside of BARBIE, which was its own animal). And maybe that's the case. But I'll be very curious to see how the summer franchise movies do (APES, DEADPOOL, QUIET PLACE) versus anything that's borderline original.
@@soconnell33those are good points! Apes is doing well ; I guess we’ll see how the rest of the summer box office goes :)
Where’s the full ep?
Will be back up and running with longer episodes shortly
@@soconnell33 sweet
Why wasn't the Blu-ray in 1.90.1 aspect ratio? It's baffling to release this in 21:9
Not will smith 😂
