  • This was very enjoyable. Aside from the entertainment, I learned a couple of things. Granted, I'm a microstakes player but every little bit of knowledge helps. Jungleman: Thanks for explaining the small bet logic. I knew that block bets are used but I thought it was basically just for protection to stop a better, marginal hand from raising. or to reveal the strength of a much better hand? Betting small and check-calling but losing the same amount makes sense, in addition to the fact that you can sometimes pick up pots that you shouldn't. Again, thank you. Phil: On the last hand, 33k34 hand, where Jungle had TT and you had JJ, what made you conclude that he was playing it like he had queens or tens and TT and that was about as thin as he could pot the river? With a king on the board, facing a pot bet, wouldn't you be more inclined to think that he had aces?

    @0580steve@0580steve11 ай бұрын
    • pretty sure he means that aces probably doesnt check the flop...trying to get value from Kx on a K33 rainbow board, and given it was a 3b pot pre... that somewhat excludes 1010 and he blocks the jacks
