    • I'd say it's great but if you have a really different swing style on the other side, it might not work in favor of it as much. It could just be an adjustment thing Heavy spin and through the court in the same shot is what this one does so well. But you can flatten out a bit or go even more brushy. Pretty versatile.

    • I have a couple times. Full bed syngut as well but generally not by choice, it'll be what's in the demo. As someone who is literally a bit crazy for snapback, and wants the best durability reasonably possible, the drawbacks on both of those are just way too high for me to appreciate syngut. I think there's a time and place for all these things, of course. But maybe not for me haha.

    @christobt@christobt5 ай бұрын
    • I prefer it. So much effort goes into generating a lot of spin with the gravity pro that the PA98 can get with half the effort. I actually really like the balance of play in the 98. I find stringing around 52-56 is about right. Trying 49 with 16g strings right now and it's a bit too powerful. I'm obviously a fan but I really tried to like the Gravity. @rolsguitars@rolsguitars10 ай бұрын
    • I know exactly what you mean. I don't really feel that way even though that's kinda true. I get plenty of value just from being fed a basic and repetitive ball. If I can vary the height of the ball and pick the positions I'm hitting from, that's already so much to work with. So you're not wrong, the balls are kind of silly at higher speeds. But I still it still has a lot of value. Keeping my eyes out for something better and competitive in price though. Tried a few, still come back to this somehow 😅

      @rolsguitars@rolsguitars10 ай бұрын
    • That's pretty interesting. I see that deisgn often with many competitors. One downside is you need an additional storage item to hold the balls when these are in their portable mode whereas the slinger is all in one. There is another company making what might essentially be a way better slinger bag. But it's a little ways out.

    @edgarportillo8542@edgarportillo854227 күн бұрын
    • Hilariously enough I stopped hitting backhands and have 2 forehands now. Backhands...you want to be good about transferring weight forward and extending through the shot. Try to keep both wrists loose and like they are moving together instead of fighting each other. Those tips should help with the backhand a lot. I always wished my backhand was more forehand like though so here I am playing ambidextrously now. You can see my recent videos to see more on that.

ProStaffs are so short. 97L also would be balanced a little oddly for my personal taste and I don't think the PA98 is that hard to use, actually.

It's good to have such a tool though just know what it might be like to use. • You never know until you actually play against somebody. Choosing a racquet is very personal, but imao Babolats are horrible. Very rarely can somebody domesticate it (it can be done though), you’re better off getting a more control oriented frame and actually learning to play with that, it should increase your potential to improve as a player

    @ericcaleguer@ericcaleguerАй бұрын
    • Nah I've been through a lot of that journey. Currently not on one but that racquet is special! Don't judge unless you've tried it. I was anti babolat for a while. I didn't want to respect that racquet but came to despite my resistance You've probably only seen a minute of my content and this video is old now. But it remains as a high performing video so I get a lot of messages that I feel are just disconnected from me as a whole, which is frustrating but the nature of the Internet. I might post the content but I'm not in control of what most people will see or understand. This is just a slow feed ball machine of me essentially warming up. I don't even hit forehands quite like that and the motion is exaggerated by the camera angle But I can't explain that every time...

      @time410s@time410sАй бұрын
    • @@time410s Trust me, I've been on the Babolat journey, specifically from age 12 to 17, and I can tell you it was one of the worst things for my game. When you're still trying to figure out your game, like you, it's better not to cut corners, but that's exactly what the Babolat does-it gives you way too much power and spin, making you lazy. The ironic side is that in matches with the Babolat, you tend to miss a lot more than in practice (especially long) when you're loose and just ripping the ball. If you get tight with the Babolat, it's over; balls will just fly straight into the fence.
