For the past 10 years, we’ve seen StarCraft II evolve, both as a game and a community, and now it’s time to celebrate. To commemorate this decade of comradery in the Koprulu Sector, we’re introducing some player-requested features to the game, along with a few extras we hope you’ll enjoy!
Proud to be playing since day 1. This game has been a huge part of my life since it came out, and I just wanted to thank the creators and the community for making such an awesome experience that I can always count on coming back to to find a familiar place no matter how much my life changes. One of my earliest memories is watching my mom and dad play sc1 against each other, I would also (try to) play sc1 against my uncle some times, and when sc2 came out we picked it up immediately and I played it against my dad a lot (even tho I was only 8 years old at that point). Since then I played sc2 for 10 years (with a bit of gaps where I stopped playing, but for never more than a year, a I always kept following the scene). Fast forward to now, my normal daily routine involves playing sc2 for 1-2 hours, and then watching gsl with my dad and my little brother.

Dude I just finished 100% all the campaigns. Now they add 83 more achievements. I guess I have one more playthrough left then. Edit: So far I've done all of Nova, WoL and Hots achievements! LotV left to be done. Edit#2: All of them done. Some of the achievements were bugged out but they got fixed after a few days. Have fun!
same here and gosh the heart of swarm time challenge to finish the mission were the most non forgiving out of the three xD, took me a long time to get to the terratron in WoL minigame and for LotV it was not that hard as a protoss player ^^
haven't finished it yet i once finished the first campaign but i don't want to finish this masterpiece i want more campaign
@@paulsallamand1319 Terratron was my last achievement but then I learned that you can shoot faster by spamming and it became trivial xD

I do now, once Zerg figured out how silly it was on beta, so nothing but Roaches, it became so common. I did not even build my first Marine, I went straight into Marauders, then medivacs.
Now they are supply heavy
1 supply zerg unit should go to hydralisk with base 4 range +1 upgrade, light tag, 5 (+5vs armor) and it cost 75 mineral and 25 gas like in broodwar. And then it can evol into Hunter killer with current hydralisk cost, stat + 10 hp and no tag, and require upgrade. Roaches cost 100 mineral with some adjusment like 3 range + 1 ugrade and remove/upgrade the regeneration. It can maintain the 2 suplly.

If only the amount of love shown to this game over the years could’ve been shown to Warcraft 3 Reforged. Kudos to the Starcraft 2 team for creating an amazing experience, it seems like a great update to jump back into the game with.

This game is one of the first I’ve ever played. I remember sitting down at the computer with my older brother, reading the opening loading screen of HOTS, and having no idea what it meant. Thank you for making a game that I’ve played for nearly the last half dozen years.

@@leon35948 Gameplaywise i would say WC2, 3 (TFT), AoE 2, Empire Earth. Storywise ofc Warcraft. Starcraft imo shines good with its story, i just bought the normal version years ago, got hyped by the story, bought second addon, than legacy. Also one thing i like about SC2 is that many old popular WC3 custom maps are "reforged" in sc2 community maps but sadly it works a little bit wonky due to different engine. Overall i would rank SC1/BW//2 at rank 3

Nah, Heart of the Swarm is, hands down, the worst part of the story. They couldn't decide if Kerrigan was an evil destroyer of worlds, or a redeemed anti-hero.

Cool editor improvements. Not too late a few years, though? I mean there are so many awesome maps in arcade, I wish creators had access to this tools earlier. So many cool projects, NotD, SCU, All Coop campaigns and numerous detailed maps. I just wish new features were there :(
Yeah i imagine a lot of the map makers have moved on by this point. Still hope we get some cool stuff out of it.
I'd say about 10 years to late for some of this stuff.
NotD was ambitious and neat but quickly became boring. The editor improvements wouldnt have solved the issues as they were conceptually there
More than that, map editors are kind of anachronistic. Why spend your time building in an editor where Activision will completely own whatever you create when things like unity are so much better these days and you can own whatever game you make
