  • He is an intelligent kid but he learnt a very important lesson that while intelligence and cofidence gaurantee success, over-confidence guarantees failure. These lessons cant be taught in books, they need to learnt practically the hard way. Having said that, i was actually surprised to see his parents react in such a way.

    • Be honest. He didn't lose because he was overconfident, he lost because he didn't know the answer. Second, why can't a little kid be overconfident? Third, exactly why do you think Amitabh Bachchan is in a higher position than a little kid? Age? Because he is famous? More popular? The only valid reason is he is the host of the show, but we are talking about a little kid here. Fourth, overconfidence doesn't guarantee failure. This must be something you read in a book. Being overconfident is rude, that's it. Fifth, will you be saying that if he had won? Sixth, if he was underconfident, he will not be participating in this contest in the first place.

Please grow up as parents. Kids are not medals to be worn on your chest. Kids come through you. They dont belong to you. Kid is on his own trajectory and you are on your own. You are a contributor and not a controller. Let him be a kid and grow up, please. Give him the confidence to make mistakes. There is nothing like a failure in life.   • Wow, this young boy is absolutely, incredibley intelligent. Having said that, I believe he needs to learn humility and modesty. Hopefully he will be able to learn and develop these attributes with age. Amitabh sir was very patient and graceful. What I find difficult to understand is the atrocious reaction of the parents.
