On November 17th 2012 King Of The Dot Entertainment (KOTD) will be collaborating with Think Don't Shoot (TDS) to provide food and hope to Touchstone Youth Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
As an effort to help improve and support their local community KOTD and TDS have selected Touchstone Youth Centre to receive non-perishable food, clothing and hopefully financial donations. Touchstone Youth Centre is a very well deserving 32 bed emergency shelter in Toronto for 16 to 24 year old homeless and at risk youth. They also provide employment programs, housing resources, and a drop in centre with an outreach worker to help support their youth. Unfortunately due to a lack of funding Touchstone Youth Centre will be forced to close their doors by the end of 2012. KOTD and TDS , with your help hope to put a stop to that closure.
Please help KOTD and TDS in their efforts to support Touchstone Youth Centre by bringing non-perishable food times, clothing to FLATLINE 2 at Tattoo Rock Parlor on November 17th 2012.
Any cash donations can be made here touchstoneyc.org/donate-now/
We hope to see you there!

I believe Esquire was better when it came to showmanship and playing to the crowd. But, Shub is clearly the better DJ technically.
Exactly those swishing noises jusr ruined the drop
And by that imean esquire
Hip Hop is a culture. People dont know the fine line between modernizing an art, and different styles within that art. You cant say this DJ battle doesnt rep skill, because it is harder then it looks. If you are one of those higher expectations kinda people, watch a different one or fuck off. In my opinion though, this was a good battle. We gotta preserve this culture the way it used to be for the young ones
Yes hip hop is culture good djing is intresting ,rap is best music for my , b-boying wau ,grafitti is art and beatbox so wau
Don't stop these DJ battles dawg. You don't like the DJ battles don't watch. DJ'ing is one of the Original Elements of HIPHOP and I think its dope that you guys are repping different Elements of this dying ArT. Dang You guys should have a Graffiti battle too. Just cover all of um while your at it. I'm sure there are DJ's who like rap battles that love and appreciate this ish. Don't STOP keep it HIPHOP.
Esquire was crowd-tailored, while Shub was technique-tailored. Esquire was dope, had crowd reaction, but Shub had polished technique and pulled the double scratching plus his scratching had a better flow to it.
It did but the song selection and vibe was ass water.
how was he dope? he wasnt even on beat...thats literally the minimum requirement for a dj.
The records of one of they guys seems the same the whole time? Is the music coming from the vynil or an mp3 on the computer?
Well.I think one of the most important parts of being a competitive DJ is being ON BEAT at all times, and the transitions from one part to another are very important, and DJ Esquire was just NOT on beat through the majority of his set,it was just random shit that really did add up to anything.id say Shub got this,he was way more technical
Where do they get those Lp's with all the samples? Do they have them custom made?
what was the tracks shub was playing? (specifically around 9:40)
First time watchin one of these, i actually enjoyed it. Creative idea
Does anyone now the name of the first song DJShub used?
Love,love, this. Keep them up.
Dj Shub 3-0 not even a debate
whats the name of the track that shub closes with in the first round?
LOVE THIS
hell yeah they should do more of these
I need more of dj battles.
best dj battle ive seen on kotd so far i think
I hate how half the people in the back are just standing there expressionless not even looking at the turntables. If I was there I’d be starting at them in awe with my mind melted
CANADA WOULD LOVE TO SEE DJ Vekked VS DJ SHUB 2015
This is a great battle. Best one in KOTD so far.
more dj battles that was dope
dope vid really dig this
great musick thx
Awesome nice to see something different again
What's the first track of DJ shub????
More dj battles please! There so bad ass.
All the DJ battles have about 1min of anything that's good. Not even going to waste my time watching them anymore
Just amazing skills!
I just came here to see some DJ skill but all I see is people insulting each other... I expected to see demonstration of skill, not a rap battle with turn tables.
All dj's throw insults at each other you know that but that NY guy just sounded way to sloppy with cuts and barely juggled any beats
Both have a wonderful Craft
THIS IS A MISJUDGMENT AND I DEMAND NEW JUDGES FIRST OF ALL AND A RESCORE!!! HE DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT HAVE WON! THE JUDGE THAT SAID HE WAS ONLY TRYING DOE CROWD REACTIONS AND NOT TECHNICALLY IS WRONGGGGGG THE POINT OF MUSIC IS TO MAKE A CROWD REACT HOW YOU WANT TO THEM!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!
Dude the canadian guy put a sublimital message in his side of the battle
DJ Shub killed all 3 rounds but DJ Esquire's 3rd was sick
More Dj battles !
This was a dope battle
what is the name of song at 12:00 - 14:00 min ? ty
Rage against the machine, killing in the name of
This is not music to listen to in a club. This is technics, precision, and creation of a Dj. If they were to get the same dj system and have selective tracks from the judges to work with then it would be more measurement.
I like these DJ battles.
Glad you liked his stuff, Esquire's dope. It's one thing to like his routines better and another to say that the judging was biased, it most definitely wasn't, we just can't judge strictly on entertainment value.
Whatever else anyone believes, I think we can all agree that Shub had a MUCH better hype man in his corner.
DJ battles are sik! DJ shub was dope!
shub was using a digital interface dj set just hooked up to a laptop to make switching songs easier while Esquire was going a little bit older with a combo of actual records and a changeable sound board like interface. all i'm gonna say about esquire is he was pretty hateful for the whole match.
Next one's a Blackout 3! Jooce vs. Jimmi Riggz, they both got 2nd and 3rd in the DMC Canadian finals in 2011, so it should be good!
Y’all should watch this battle 1994 SUPERMAN BATTLE FT 8 BALL & DJ NOISE.
what the name of juelz santana song at 3:22 ????
It's still a part of Hip Hop. Keep doing them.
great video!
I've never watched a DJ battle and I'm totally green to this scene, so take this with a grain of salt but SHUB was ON POINT and won this joint.
I wanna sign up
Whack, old Djs are where they at.
That Canadian goose got cooked! HAHA! This is Brooklyn right here, nothing in the world beats it! No surprise a Canadian won on Canadian soil. We all know who the real winner was. ;)
Shub toyed with Brooklyn like lego! My boy Shub!!
Shub's first round was amazing.
Shub really knows his shit... lots of practice and make it sound really good... Esquire just played samples with shit talking but lacked technical skill and polish.
Reppin Perth WA I loved this shit, awesome KOTD is keeping all elements of hip hop alive, keep doin yo thang .. One love
Esquire was a Lil too disrescpdul towards Shub. But Shub was the better DJ. I love the scratching
DJ Shub is cooler ^^
MORE MUSIC,LESS TALK[OBSCENTIES]-DJ ESQUIRE
What is the original song at 6:17?
I know Im late but do you still want the name?
6:17 Song name??
how does a guy of that size move that fast god damn shrub you on fire bro
i agree....im movin to canada!!!
Pretty dope
Really coincidental how they both used a lot of Ludacris cuts.. this was dope though. Almost wish there was more audio on the crowd so the cheers would hype the video footage, but either way it was fun to watch. Hope the league does more of these DJ battles, its definitely a good look.
wow , no contest. DJ SHUB was the better performer .
the crowds at these dj battles are way too fucking hyped.
why do u keep fast warding the clip. not cool
word, I gave it to Shub but I definitely like when DJs bring presence and entertainment like Esquire... without different styles the scene would get really boring. It's not always about who gets the W on the score cards anyways.
Snubb .. All three, the esquire was doing more taunting then djing and snubb was just cutting shit up man word .. Im an American and I approve this message .. AND BIG UP TO KOTD FOR HAVING A DJ BATTLE .. Dope as fuck, HIPHOP shit .. I love it, hopefully more to come
Shub was way cleaner. Esquire went off beat with the vocals all the time, therefor Shub took it
awesome!
DJ SHUB BEATJUGGLED HARD! CAME WITH REAL TURNTABILST SKILL! ESQUIRE WAS DOPE TOO
using serato, everyone loses.
5:45 he threw in that Nena Cherry BUffalo stance!
Do excision next
feeling those Mix !!! would love to have you on my new show !!!
Shub's beat juggling was dirty. Esquire's third round was nice though.
awesome 😀
Yea what's that song/beat at 5 10
I agree with the verdict. I wasn't blown away by either of them but I was definitely more impressed by Shubs for actual skill he was displaying. Esquire relied too heavily on shit-talking vocal samples, which might get some crowd reaction, but doesn't actually show off as much skill.
that was awsome
nickleback ? where are you from ? i just moved to Shreveport , Louisiana & it's all about nickleback type shit here to with a lot of rap (mainstream club & gangsta shit , not straight hip hop) but thats what its like in most southern smaller cities (not towns)
Hell no this need to be done again
Song at 8:00 please?
Damn , nice moves Dj-Shub
anyone know the beat that starts at 7:53
dissing w/ samples and songs is part of DJ battling, it's been going on nearly as long as dissing in rap battles
I wanna see Shub vs Vekked!!!
Love hiphop but why do people insist on swallowing mic's?
the canadian dude won stright up. his was easy to listen to
grafiti battles would be DOPE AS FUCK
Theres something wrong with the audio... you can hear a delay of the ludacris sample during Shubs set @ 5:23 Dope battle Shub brought creativity and always kept it musical. Props to both Djs
Shub got the first round hands down.
A good format for Graf battles could be this... 10 or 20 random audience members could write anything on a slip of paper and organik could pick it out a hat. Then the graffers have 15 mins to do there best.
I want in on one of these DJ battles hook me up
Both did their thing, but Esquire ate Shub lunch. Shub’s 3rd set was on point though.
Esquire's round two just destoryed my volume button
DAMN.....Love after first hear!! (DJSHUBOFCOURSE)
...okay, can we get another rap battle now organik?
hip hop really is alive in the north
6:17 to 6:38 is Nene Cherry. Buffalo Stance. Great song.
Two different styles
