Its the video everyone's been waiting for! Does my Audi RS4 start after a full engine rebuild??
I have a friend thats deaf in his right ear thats on the lookout for an RS4 😂
Dean , a man who never makes mistakes doesn’t learn anything . You have learnt so much mate and admire your determination to continue , plus I enjoy watching 👍
That was stressful, I feel for you but you’ll get there, it can’t be easy filming it too so thank you from all of us watching and good luck next time.
I really admire your tenacity and patience.
I don’t think that initial start up after a rebuild ever gets easier. Gutted it’s all got to come out again but you’re so close now!
I'd have been crying in the corner ages ago!
I have been following this project from the start, and can I just say, what joy it brings me to see such an accomplished and Patient mechanic at work, many many thanks for taking the time and effort to share your trials and tribulations with us......top man👍
I've been anxiously waiting for this 🤞
Think if I was that far in mate and had suspicions about 1 of the chain tensioners then I’d have 110% replaced it while it was all apart, hard lesson learned here.
Just finished watching. Well done buddy for getting so far. Absolutely amazing videos an think the whole community behind ya.
You need a Nobel prize for patience... We're on your side, keep working on it
After this you'll be an expert. great learning curve. you'll get there, dont worry. I've been waiting for the video for two days. keep going.
Your optimism and dedication is quite simply............................. admirable. Amazing mate.
14:50 sounds like a diesel transit
Or an 8v corsa 🤣
I know it sucks having to take the engine back out, be we get to see even more RS4 content. Loving it mate, you will get there! 👍
see what. youve bin seeing same stuff for weeks?
Keep it up! So happy it started up and ran so well - real validation of your hard work. Already looking forward to the next installment. :)
Great content! Keep going man, so close now. Thanks for posting your successes and struggles. I thought the tfsi engine was hard to work on, but this is a whole different league. Look forward to seeing her running.
Awesome example of persistence and knowledge Dean. Can't wait to see it sorted and your hard work pay off.
I had a B7 S4 V8 for 4 years ... I still have nightmares, but my fingernails have now grown back ... You're nothing if not persistent. I gave up and now run a 2003 Mazda 6 shed ... I don't care when I hear little ticks & knocks. Good on you for keeping the V8's alive - the RS / S's are great pieces of machinery ... when they drive out of the showroom.
Out of all the salvage videos, you are the only one that has put me on the edge of my seat, excellent work 10/10
Yes Dean! Great work! Keep it up! 🙌🏎🔥
Wow again Dean, all by yourself as well. You will now be known from now as the rs4 master!!! Great watching, feeling your pain, keep the faith with your skills and patience you will get there.
You are nearly there, great job so far. Keep up the good work!
I bought a 2015 Audi s4 from coparts over a year ago smashed good at the front got it all rebuild then the engine slipped the timing so it sat ther for most of the year and watching ur videos made me get off me ass and start to fix after I have give up with it for almost 7 months big thanks and keep up the good work love ur vids
Please don’t let it deflate your mood, it’s a project and nothing is easy otherwise everyone would be doing it and you wouldn’t be doing so well and have such a positive following. Proud of you Dean, great job, plus, we get to see another video on the RS4, and when you get to rip it a new one up the road it will be worth all the set backs. Great job mate 🤩
Great series of videos especially with your honesty about your struggles. Very enjoyable well done
As gutting as it is considering how the engine was last time its a winner in my book, you should be well happy, yeah the tensioner is a pain but fit a new one and that should be that done & dusted. You've saved that engine & your pocket 👍👌
Saving salvage keep up the good work my friend I have the Audi A5 3.2 V6 CAL. I have been taking out the engine more than 5 times only your channel helped me out by sharing that information about those 4 cam adjusters at the chain drive, tried every thing cardiagn.com ELSA nothing about them. until the video you share about a random guy who sent you the email on how they should go. Although this one aint V8 but procedure is kinda same. All thanks to you my friend without you even today my V6 would be stuck. I had the same timing problem but only one came bank 1 adjuster B changed it and renewed 14 multi spine bolt now it is running like a clock. Hope this elevate your spirit to do more you look humble man you my role model. Do not loose hope you got this.
Huge respect for what you have achieved so far. Keep the faith, it will be epic when it's all back together and running sweet.
Getting close now! The hard part is over and you're an expert at dropping the engine now... Keep going mate, we're all rooting for you.
Excellent job kevin Please keep calm and everything will work out for the best Please keep up the great work and keep safe
Love the videos on the RS4. Keep your head up, your slowly getting there

Hats off to you dean. Amazing work on this engine and definitely sounded sweet. Definitely all that hard work has paid off. We all know you got this sorted. You rebuild an engine, timing issues will be child play now.
Hard luck there Dean. You've put so much time and effort into it. You will get there. Keep going chap. Look forward to the next one.
Great work bud. Keep up the good work. It will all pay off in the end
🥳🥳🥳 Finally it runs, Ive start to watching this channel from RS4 and now have feeling to buy you a beer for such hard work 😄

@@SavingSalvage 😏 You will have enough content to finish 2021. 🤣👍
I think the rpm on your heart was higher than on the engine😁
Epic patience with this mate. I'd be hurling the spanners around the place. You'll get there. Great to watch. 👍
Keep going mate, it’s been a great build to watch. Best to take it out once more and get it right - after so much time and money spent!

Your heart rate !!! Mine was racing along side yours 😂, feel for ya Dean, so much hard work 😓 but at least she started and ran and sounded good. Finish line is hopefully insight and you deserve a pat on the back Dean, loved watching this in-depth series of videos. 👍🏻
When that sweet V8 is up and running, you'll forget all this!
It doesn't get forgotten, it just makes it all that much sweeter!
Well done on completely rebuilding this engine!!! Technical knowledge and know-how, I suppose that's how you become an expert.
Keep going mate, I would have given up! You're doing a grand job matey!
I used to love the Star Trek episodes with the Borg and your engine bay reminds me of a Borg ship ! Full credit to you though and I think you’re on the home straight now, I can’t wait to hear her fire up

Great work, final push to victory! 💪
I admire you for sharing this and keeping your channel real
Absolutely glued to this build! What a stellar series. Noob question here, is it fine to run an engine without radiator hooked on ?
Dean, keep going I feel your pain but at the end of the day you've done an amazing job rebuilding the engine.
Stop beating yourself up it's a learning curve and we get to see it, great work Dean loving the content I know it's all blood sweat and tears for you but at the end of it you won't be scared of doing something smaller and easier lol
Brilliant vid mate, nearly at nervous as you on startup. Never easy 🤣
Mate your work ethics are epic and your motivation and enthusiasm are of legendary status. Your videos are supreme, mate you rock.
Dean, I really admire your perseverance and patience, epic. Get it over the finish line!
Great work Dean you will be an expert at taking the engine in and out . But she sounds alright aside from the drivers side bank tapping. Thanks for the awesome content stay safe and take care
Mate my heart was doing the same. Unlucky with the timing, but it fired up straight away. I'm dam sure this will be a sweet motor when your done. I'm quite addicted to your channel. Keep up the good work mate 👍🏾 👍🏾
Hang in there, you are nearly there, good job by the way.
It was sooo good to hear it run again, even if it did sound like a tractor on a cold morning 😅😅, it's a right pain that you have to take it out again but when you get another one you'll be an expert at them 👍👍👍👍
Keep going, you will get it sorted mate.
U done so well mate 👍 keep it up
The single strongest spirit on the platform. What a fighter. Big ups my man.
Maaate! I feel your pain. I admire your resilience.

OMG, so close too. Can't believe you've got to take the engine back out again. Sure you'll sort it though, and be driving the RS into the sunset in the near future.
Keep going this can only be a labour of love for you, imagine the feeling when its stsrts and purrs like a kitten it will be worth it
You have done a great job bud keep at it don't let it get to you 👍
So close yet so far, chin up though mate, its gonna sound sweeeet when its done. 👍👍🤞
Great it's running, sad it's gotta come out again, but you said it right, better to have a good engine after a timing adjustment than an engine thats knackered, almost there, great content 👌
My heart was racing watching with anticipation, just as it did years ago doing gas turbine engine rebuilds......thanks for that.....
