  • The difference between real makeup artists and internet celebrities who do makeup is shocking. Everything from their makeup style and technique, to how they speak and present themselves. Such masterful artistry, class, professionalism, and a lack of drama from real makeup artists. What a relief.

    • Keren Coen, she has featured plenty of black models, if you would give cursory glance at her video history, especially considering the fact that she is in London, not America where there is more black people. In fact she features a lot of South Asians, which are a large population there. Don't speak such racist and ignorant comments on such a great channel.

This is what being miles away from random beauty gurus means.

  • I LOVE what he said about contour being like a toupee. And the blush technique was great too. I read some comments asking about the model. Check the description box. I also want to say in this days and age and where Makeup is going on KZhead, with many people doing the same looks using the same products and the same techniques this channel is such a breath of fresh air. I love the light touch and real tips from true professionals. Less is more. This is A+ work. Thank you!!!!

  • I loved this! It was so nice to see a model who actually had some problem skin and wasn't just super perfect already. Obviously, I mean that in the best way possible- she is absolutely gorgeous with and without makeup. But it was like seeing the upper echelon of artists work on skin that is actually normal and more relatable! Beautiful work, beautiful model, amazing techniques.

  • The blush made her look like a cherub from a rococo painting lol I loved it. I often use my lip color as a blush when I’m on the go. As a plus, when I use a tinted lip balm it also moisturizes my cheeks as blush lol.

  • The thing is most people on youtube that call themselves gurus and "teach" makeup have absolutely nothing to do with the makeup industry whatsoever in terms of professionality and real knowledge and experience of and in the business. They just happened to record themselves at home and suddenly one day they grew a fanbase and brands were dying to pay them to sell their products, but none of this things will never certify them as real make-up artists. They are just sellers. Top sellers for sure, but nothing else. You don't need to excuse yourself, my dear, or remind us that anything used here is not sponsored. You are THE ARTIST and I believe, moreover, I know that anything you use is chosen only because you trust the product. As simple as that. And if I ever buy something you happened to use sometime in one of your videos, it'll be because I saw it here, tried it myself and think "damn, that's good". You should be the one trusted and admired.

  • Hi Lisa, if there is any chance you ever see this comment know that you are a beautiful artist and I love every one of your videos. My Mum found out she has to go in for surgery to remove a skin cancer from her nose and she's really upset about it because she's worried she'll look ugly. I think she's beautiful no matter what, but I want to make her feel better so I was hoping you might be able to do a video about skincare for scars? Or reccomend the best products available in australia to promote healing. Other comments are welcome people, I just want to make her feel good about herself 😊

    • Challenger1913 Spottyhanded Hello! I’m not Lisa unfortunately but I have a number of surgery sites, the most recent from my mastectomy for breast cancer. On each occasion, the doctors, nurses, beauticians, everyone basically has told me to use organic Rose hip oil to massage the scar and help regenerate the skin. It’s very gentle and nourishing, and can be used on the face without any problems. I also believe that La Roche Posay have some skin regenerating products if you can get hold of them in Australia? The products are named Cicaplast. And of course SPF at the highest possible factor for at least the first year, every single day! Good luck and much love to your mother xxx

    • Challenger 1913 Oh, best wishes to your mom! I don’t know about surgeries but I burnt the skin on the top of my nose off once and had to grow in new skin. My best tip to avoid scars is moisture and avoiding sun exposure. So wearing hats, sunscreen, and massaging Shea butter into the burn. Honestly any moisturizer should be fine as long as it is gentle and unscented so as to avoid irritating the skin. I even used Vaseline (not sure if she should so ask the doctor). Hope she get better!

  • Lisa, thank you for bringing Troy on your channel. It's such s a treat. I confess, I was hoping to hear a story or two about Kevyn Aucoin (since Troy was his assistant).Yet again it goes to show how different Pro MUAs vs what we (mostly) see on youtube. Kind request: would you consider toning down the white background to a tad greyish shade? It's a bit harsh for sensitive eyes (and those like me who wear eyeglasses) to have such a bright white background. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Edit: Also, less white background would help to see the real shades of the products better, as the white background oftentimes changes the shades.
