  • I always thought Zthuees were called "fobos"because it was like "floating Lobo."

    • Ow, and is all that was said in video 6 years ago right for today’s balance, or ilshas were patched and now they’re the weakest units in game?

      @jobnob3740@jobnob37406 ай бұрын
    • @@jobnob3740IIRC they're still incredibly durable AND they're cheaper in modern FAF; Sera has, and is designed around having, the strongest T2 land army in the game, period-and the Ilshavoh is how they get there.

  • Heaven, thank you for all the good work you put into these series. As a brother follower of The Way, I regret that others may even entertain these "tactics" vs our superior beliefs and our queen, knowing well they don't stand a chance against the Illuminate. However, it certainly is amusing to see their point of view from an elite commander as yourself. "To defeat our enemy, we must know both its strengths and weaknesses." Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you very much! I am maining Seraphim. But I am doing exactly those bad habits you mentioned: not keeping the enemy busy, letting him tech, not knowing about DID thus fighting large scale vs large scale, etc. I have some questions about ACU upgrades. Should I upgrade the gun first or T2 engi? Also, at what point should I upgrade to the second gun?

    @ZeaxofStarcraft@ZeaxofStarcraft7 жыл бұрын
    • use gun when you need it, use t2 when you need it, never use second gun. it really depends on the map/situation which upgrade you get.

      @f.atnoob6093@f.atnoob60937 жыл бұрын
    • usually gun first has the better synergy with standard Seraphim gameplay. but it should also depend on your setup. i'm explaining the intuition of gun vs. tech in this video: kzhead.info/sun/mqWPk516bpWXrIU/bejne.html as fatnoob explained, the more expensive gun is generally not worth it.

  • I m not sure if you are right by saying t2 sera bot can kill any t2 unit cause I read on another site that obsidian is capable of beating it

    @abcd-yg2rx@abcd-yg2rx3 жыл бұрын
    • That's only the case if they were right next to eachother. The chicken has better range and by the time the obsidian is in range it's already lost health.

    • Use the cheat option and have a play to see what happens. Press Alt + F2 during a game if cheating is enabled, to try it yourself :)

  • So I assume you skip Thaams, go straight for ilshies?

    @f.atnoob6093@f.atnoob60937 жыл бұрын
    • No, trying that would probably get you killed in most games. However, your generic t1 unit composition should contain a higher share of arty than other factions; see: kzhead.info/sun/qJh_ZqiliJ-mkqM/bejne.html In the ACU area, you would not use generic t1 unit compositions but go for a much higher arty percentage. perhaps inverting tanks and arties in the standard ratio would work. teching your main factory to t2 shouldn't be needlessly delayed. then you'd send some t2 flak and otherwise mainly fobos in your ACU area and your generic t2 unit compositions into the not-ACU-area; see kzhead.info/sun/nahqea6glpSaZH0/bejne.html

  • The only thing I am kind of missing is the weaknesses of each faction i.e. how to fight them and what to watch out for while playing them.

    @distrologic2925@distrologic2925 Жыл бұрын
    • Well, there is no "weakness" as such as it's a supremely balanced game, it all depends on who you yourself are playing as, on what map, and ya de da de da and so forth. However, that being said... UEF: They resemble bricks, and so they can be cracked like bricks; One cannot tech into everything all at once, and the UEF are strong at start and moderately strong at end, but if you can keep him from gunshipping and focusing things into a decisive composition advantage, a UEF player can be made to snap with a targeted strike. They inevitably tend to ground-pound and/or be quite reliant on rushing tanks and Percys, meaning they are generally weak against air and flank attack. Also, since they similarly tend to have big one-hit type weapons, they are also weak if you can out-micro or stagger-endure their sheer tankiness with some sneaky fuckery, which is particularly effective in the naval game. Cybran: The opposite, naturally; A good Cybran player is an amorphous blob, thanks to the sheer flexibility of his arsenal. You'll quite likely have to switch things up through the game to get a decided advantage over him. Strong start and rush potential plus strong air, means that you'll likely not be able to corner and pin him down completely, but that's what you're gonna have to try anyway. Locate his econ and production, and either use some longer range unit or arty in conjunction with a distraction attack to smash it, or just try to get into a situation where you have cover from his high but limitedly direct-fire DPS and can thus wear him out. Do not let him get fully to T3-T4, or at least don't let him stay there, or he'll finally have the oomph the rest of his arsenal lacks and if he's competent generally beat things through simple cost-efficiency. Aeon: Rush to the hecc. That's about it, nothing fancy. Make sure to target land factories and keep slapping any and every tech-up attempt; even if you can't keep him down, it will be worth it for letting your allies apply Pillars or Loyalists or Chickens. Because you know that once those Harbingers come out, things will go to crap. And they will be coming out; You may catch a glimpse of some Spectres or what have you there in the middle, but generally speaking it's that endgame with either Hairbrush or some kind of arty maul or attack around a Colossus that carries the day for Aeon. So bog him down. While it's beneficial to keep a Cybran from getting some kind of tech advantage on you, him getting to T4 just makes him a quite hard nut to crack, but as for the Aeon it will make him an absolute pest because he just may get that infiniteconomy going and then you'll have to deal with all that spam. Sera: Beat him early through some sneaky shit, or beat him by stubborning it out to T3 and refusing him his focused attack power. In between, you'll just have to hold on for dear life and keep air power or layered defense on hand to deal with his arty-Chicken combo. Hold yourself together and don't present cracks, and be prepared for him to switch things up to T2 gunships to throw you off. And do not challenge him on the water; Naval is Sera's "hidden T4" and once he gets his T2 there he can push you out, and at T3 a competent Sera will basically be able to dominate the sea straight up - especially against air. In fact, if his base is near enough to sea, just count any air assault out. If you can't overcome him and basically deny him in the T1-T2 transition, you're best off beating him with either a hard T3 land push, or by using the advantage of earlier and generally better T4 options. And of course, you should pile into that push. Beware of the risk if things really draw out, especially if he's teaming with an Aeon or Cybran; If he gets enough BSs going or a Yolo, then it's all over and done.
