David Stern don't like guys like JJ because he speaks his own mind like he's brushing JJ in the same brush as Rod Strickland in the sense that they're brushed and painted as immoral amoral womanizers, whereas Stern's glad to give Jason Kidd a free pass for his domestic violence in 2001 like he's a saint who could do no wrong in Stern's eyes.

  • I'm very confident in believing that when anyone signs on with fox or fox sports live {fs1} that they are told to embrace the UFC since they also have contractual agreements to be covered and shown on the channel. At the very least to tolerate the coverage and not talk badly on the sport. So with espn unless a breakout star like Ronda Rousey or Conor McGregor transcend into the mainstream news cycle they'd rather ignore it in favor of NFL/NBA/MLB news since they have large large contracts with them. UFC was largely ignored and was still in the dark ages of mis-information and prejudice towards the whole sport and atheltes of martial arts. Yet any boxing news was run there and that plays a factor too with the competition of boxing vs mma, which us combat fans love both and any combat sport. I'm a sports fan yet I find way too much coverage on NFL year round which didn't really exist until the recent contracts of games being shown on said networks. UFC is becoming a problem with becoming too big and not taking full care of its athletes who literally put their bodies on the line to make the owners money and don't get as much incentive pay wise. Its a joke how underpaid they still are but its good to see it grow into what is today and to have a tv network cover the sport or organization and show live events to recruit new fans is positive. It hopefully will even out but since Zuffa is a private owned company and did save the ufc from bankruptcy , its tough to see why they would give up millions or billions to treat their fighters fairly. And they are independent contractors so you can only get paid what your worth or what you can leverage or negotiate for what you can prove you are worth.
