  • Excellent video, I drive a Peugeot 108 and have found it to be a very easy car to live with, low running costs and extremely reliable. It's good to find a channel which focuses on the largely ignored economy class cars which are just as (if not more) important than supercars which only the super-rich can afford.

    • We don't have supercars on the channel generally... We do, however, have a review of a manual Peugeot 108, if you would like to see that as well. It will be on the Sensible Secondhand Reviews playlist somewhere.

  • Another excellent review Sir, this was a contender before I bought the Cactus as I just wanted something I could use for work and do the school run, another car i may have to try at some point.

    • They are going to be a perennial staple of the used car market for some time to come, I think, sir. I have a manual 108 coming up very soon too.

  • Great review youve given plenty of information about this little car, i wouldn't want an automatic but a manual would fit my needs just fine thank you

    • I also have a review of a manual 108 from 2018 which I drove a couple of days later at the same location. That was, predictably, a huge amount better than the automatic Citroën C1! Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting once again.

  • I have a 2007 C1 Vibe. Its been a reliable run around. It is very basic as you said - and not really good for 4 adults but good for small kids in the back. They do suffer with water leaks in the boot and footwells but mine isnt that bad just a little dampness from time to time. Things that have needed doing apart from the usual stuff: a gear linkage cable broke , water pump, indicator unit failed and needed replacing, door locks needed replacing (no central locking on mine). So a few headaches but overall its been a good little car and ive kept it as a second car for now. My other half doesnt fancy it, her Micra is 20 yrs old now and she will be looking for another car in the new year. So i just keep it for fun, as it is quite a nippy fun car to drive in the lower gears.

    • I reviewed a 2013 107 on No Budget Reviews back in March (supplied by the same dealership). It has actually been quite a successful video for some reason. That would be more similar to your C1, I imagine. In today's used car climate, cars like the C1/Aygo/107/108 are in massive demand due to their low running costs. Given your C1 is over 15 years old, I wouldn't say that it has been that bad, considering that they were very cheap cars to begin with. Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting!

  • Sorry I had a nightmare with automatic c1 was only 2.5 years old had a intermittent electrical fault that the dealership just couldn't fix (the gearbox would basically glitch and the engine would cut off). It was also so slow, seemed to be a delay pulling out at roundabouts/junctions.

    • There's no need to apologize! I drove a manual Peugeot 108 a couple of days after this at the same place (pretty much the same car), and it was about a thousand times better. The previous C1 Automatic was even worse.

  • The Citroën C1 is a quality product but the Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10 and even the Suzuki Celerio are all more practical and accommodating. Still for getting from A to B this little car does it very well indeed.

    • Yes sir, I wouldn't say that this is necessarily the best car in its class, but in terms of sheer running costs, this is hard to beat. They seem to be well made for the price as well.

    • You may know it's a shared production plant making this model for VW/Skoda/Seat/Toyota. Lloyd may know better but I suspect it's a VW Group plant.

    • I do apologise Lloyd. You were correct. I had thought these small autos were all made at the VW plant in Bratislava. What a pity C1 production has now ceased ... it's an ideal car for these difficult times where economy is all-important.

  • Very basic for a 2016 vehicle I know brand new its only like £10 grand but they could make an effort when Vauxhall are selling the new Corsa with every toy you can think of reversing sensors/cameras as standard , Large touch screen display as standard , electric folding mirrors 16 inch alloys , night light and welcome home lights , cruise control traction control sport mode etc i could go on for days Stellantis the new owner of Vauxhall going all out to impress and for £15 grand new its a bargain in my opinion.

    @christineayres7199@christineayres71995 ай бұрын
    • You can't buy a new car for £10,000 in 2023. At all. The Corsa now starts at £18,460 for the base model. The £15,275 offer only lasted for a short time, and has finished. The Corsa and C1 are not directly comparable at all.
