JMS makes use of Indigenous Microorganisms, native to your local area
By cultivating the microbes in your local area, you will ensure that the organisms will be well suited to the growing conditions of your particular area and the local temperature.
You will need to collect some leaf mould from your local forest, or compost heap
A bucket of water (rain water is best for this)
I am using a 20 litre bucket
Boiled Potato
Some sea salt
Two mesh bags
A stick to suspend the mesh bags
in the middle of the bucket
Put the boiled potatoes in one bag and the leaf mould in the other bag
Break up the potatoes
when the solution is ready, Mix one part JMS to 10 parts water and water you plants with it
The JMS can not be saved you must use it all at once
any extra you have left over water you compost heap or you garden paths if they wood chipped, It will speed up the composting process
You will notice some bubbles start to form within a few hours.
These bubbles are indications that the microbes are actively feeding and multiplying.
Within 24 to 96 hours, bubbles will cover the surface of the liquid. In some instances, the bubbles form rings originating from the suspended mesh bags, The speed at which this occurs will vary depending on the temperature.
Important: You need to use the solution when it is most active. You have about 12 hours window before the bubbles start to break down, indicating a reduction in microbial activity.

  • Hi, what does dilution mean by 1:20?! I want to add the solution to 5 liters of water! How much solution can be used when there are plants in the soil!!! I hope you can help me with that

    • I normal mix 1 part JMS to 10 parts water, in your case you would us 0.5 litres (500ml) of JMS to 5 litres water, you can do 1 part to 20, that will be 0.250 litres (250ml) to 5 litres of water.
