Being a Sikh I loved how beautifully you explained about Sikhs. Just a few corrections regarding 5th Guru Arjan Dev ji. He never called himself sache pathshah(Sikhs call the almighty sache patshah) and we still save 1/10th of our income for donation to needy people(it never was and never is compulsory) and is called Dasvandh. Still you explained way better than other so called tutors available on internet !

First of all, Guru Arjun Dev Ji was arrested by Jahangir and was forced to accept Islam and delete the texts (Gurbani) compiled in Guru Granth Sahib to which guru accorded his complete denial. Against this denial he was tortured by making him sit on hot iron plate and pouring hot sand on his face. This way the guru achieved martyrdom preaching many disciples to accept martyrdom instead of accepting any tyrant’s atrocities. Guru was silent and was remembering the true lord while he was tortured. Seeing this, many people were filled with courage and this made the Indians ready to fight against the tyrant mughal force. Secondly, 1/10th which was called ‘Dasvant’ was never a complusion, rather it was an idea given so that the money of those people to be put in use to run Langar sewa and gurudwaras at that time.

- Few other wrong/misleading facts given in the video: 1. Langar was introduced by Guru Nanak, later continued by all other Gurus. Sir said it was started by Guru Angad. 2. Banda Singh Bahadur was from Jammu and not from Maharashtra. And, he was born in a Rajput family, not Brahmin. 3. The dispute with Guru Arjan Dev was started by jahangir where Jahangir was provoked by one of his courtman against the Guru by claiming that "Guru was teaching anti-Islamic lessons". So, Jahangir asked Guru to remove those lines from the Sikh texts, to which Guru refused. 4. Dasvandh was not a compulsory tax. It was a volutary donation that was actually started to complete the construction of the holy pool in Darbar Sahib. 5. Lastly, Sir said "People consider Khalistan as the land where only Sardars will live". However, it is factually incorrect and is not a popular opinion among the Sikh leadership. No Khalistan preacher in the past or the present has given that type of interpretation of Khalistan. As per Khalistan's supporters Khalsa Raj (Rule of Khalsa ideology) is the the utmost priority where each member of any community (Sikhs, Hindu, Muslims etc.) enjoy equal rights, most of which has been mentioned in Anandpur Sahib Resolution. 6. Do not compare Aditya Yogi Nath (who talks about genocide of minorities openly) with the status of holy saints.

- @@unkown753 1. 52 Hukums were given by Guru Gobind Singh and not Guru Amar Das ( About which sir has discussed). 2. Hukum does not make Dasvand a tax.Hukum is a form of duty. Non-compliance of tax leads to penalty and Dasvand doesn't belong to that idea.

Thanks sir, I appreciate your approach to explain sikh history. But there are corrections to be made…… 1 . 5th Guru Arjun Dev ji was never hanged. He was martyred after making him sit on hot tawa and pouring hot sand on his head. 2. He never called himself sache patshah. This was used to address Almighty Waheguru. 3. 1/10th part of income was tax which was paid to Jehangir was diverted to Guru ghar . In Sikhism no one is forced to pay donations. However Daswand is suggested entirely it depends upon if you wish. Regarding 9th guru he was also not hanged. He was martyred after many tortures separating his head from his body. Which was the condition kept by Aurangzeb. Now Guru Gobind Singh ji was not attacked by his disciple. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was from Jammu .

Sir you are explaining well, punjab was a very big state that time and Guru Nanak Dev ji travelled very long to make people aware about superstitious and love for humanity so people of Punjab Haryana Himachal and even in Pakistani respect and follow him irrespective of religion secondly in Sikhism Dasvand is not compulsory it is willingly for welfare of needy, I’m not hardcore, I respect every religion as our Gurus told us.

- @@gauravtiwari7710 Few wrong/misleading facts given in the video: 1. Langar was introduced by Guru Nanak, later continued by all other Gurus. Sir said it was started by Guru Angad. 2. Banda Singh Bahadur was from Jammu and not from Maharashtra. And, he was born in a Rajput family, not Brahmin. 3. The dispute with Guru Arjan Dev was started by Jahangir where Jahangir was provoked by one of his advisors against the Guru by claiming that "Guru was teaching anti-Islamic lessons ". So, Jahangir asked Guru to remove a couple of lines from the Sikh texts, to which Guru refused for obvious reasons. 4. Dasvandh was not a compulsory tax. It was a volutary donation that was actually started to complete the construction of the holy pool in Darbar Sahib. 5. Lastly, Sir said "People consider Khalistan as the land where only Sardars will live". However, it is factually incorrect and is not a popular opinion among the Sikh leadership. No Khalistan preacher in the past or the present has given that type of interpretation of Khalistan. As per Khalistan's supporters the Khalsa Raj (Rule of Khalsa ideology) is the the utmost priority where each member of any community (Sikhs, Hindu, Muslims etc.) enjoy equal rights, most of which has been mentioned in Anandpur Sahib Resolution.

It was never said that khalistan would be the place only for sikhs ... It would be like sikh empire of Maharaja ranjit singh ji ... Only governance would be in hand of sikhs to protect their interests. Like buddhism lost its space in india and became hinduism centric being completely different from one another .. Sikhs want to preserve their identity by extra protection.

- Buddhism lost its space in India because of Islam, Wherever they go not just India,take example of Iran, Istanbul(Constantinople), Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt,they don't let non muslims live between them,Why all the countries in which muslim are majority is declared as Islamic nation but India still in Not Hindu Rashtra,Every sikh knows how much Hindus respect them,im sorry for their experience in 1984 ,if we (Sikh,jain,Hindu, Buddhist) have to preserve our identity then we must unite against Islamic Jehad,there is no need of Hindu Rashtra and Khalistan, there is only one threat and that is Radical and extremist Islam,read verse 9:5 ,19:83-84 of quran and you will realise what im saying is right
