How do I bend a 30 degree offset?
Mastering a 30 degree offset is essential to developing as a well rounded electrician. Running conduit is by far my favorite thing to do but always remember how electricity works...
It takes the path of least resistance.
Don't look for the craziest path, use a 30, use a 90, and keep on running.

Thanks for being gnarly and not arrogant like 90% of tradesmen 🤙
You’re teaching style is amazing!
That’s is extremely nice for you to say…. Most of the time I feel like a complete idiot😂❤
Dope vid bro. This is probably the hardest part of the electrical trade for me.
Mario... the only way to get go is to run 1000000000 foot of conduit :) It takes time, don't be too hard on yourself. Thanks for follow along.
Thanks! Easy to understand! Hope this channel gets bigger!
Thanks so much! To see it grow I need to publish more consistently for sure, but any shares by you would be massive
My man with the grounding tails on deck👍⚡
Installing them before the mud ring or drywall makes it so much easier… question do you know the code for when you have to install them?
You’re a genius bro, thank you so much. Keep making more conduit videos
Too kind of a compliment but I’ll take it. What got you into the trade?
You’re a goat for this brotha
Let’s be honest… the true Goat is The one and only Lebron James aka King James aka MJ fans beware😂 Appreciate the Support❤❤❤
Appreciate the help !
Thanks for the video. I'm always looking to learn and improve myself
Thanks Adam. Is there something you would love for us to go over?
Need 5 minutes videos as refresher on a job sight. Anything longer than that we might as well makeout
Great job
Hey, I’m studying electrician and this help me too much, thank you man. And I’m learning English at the same time XD.
I'll always sub to a new Electricians channel. Subbed and Liked
Thanks and much appreciated!
Thanks Josh
Good job 👏 👍
Thank you 👍
Very nice bro!!
Thanks, the peeps at intrepid creative make us look way smarter than we really are...
Good video
Awesome
Nice video.
Appreciate It
Lol. Great channel
You should do a video on deep offsets
Make a video on the tape measures
THANKS A TOOOOOOOON for bringing this up. We are actually going to start making "Tool Tips" where we cover tools. This is 100% because of this comment Esteban! Thank you!!!
Nice, so you measure offsets from center to center?
I need to bend a 30 degree offset in a stairwell but at the bottom it needs to drop roughly 6 inches under the landing of the floor above. Any suggestions on how to make that look good ?
The problem with air bending is that it's very hard to match bends on parallel runs. It's better to floor bend them. Great video, with explanation. Can you do a video for floor bending?
Just takes time. I prefer to air bend so I'm not bending over all day.
TBH I hate floor bending, the second bend (if not done on a elevated platform) will mess up the first bend. When you "air bend" be sure to hold the conduit as close to the bender as you can. That will help with consistency. ps. I will do a floor bending video and show what I mean. Thanks a ton for the follow and comment.

It's called an hand bender
Im currently going to trade school and learning conduit bending. How often do you use boxsets in the field because i noticed you didnt use any here. Thank You
Haha almost never. I love using minis which help you keep the conduit centered and straight and eliminate the need for the box offset. I know that there is a time and place for everything so se do have a video up on box offsets. Keep pushing to learn and grow. You’re investing in yourself my friend ❤️
Hey I’m still new to this but aren’t you suppose the measure the offset depth and multiply it with the multiplier
Yeah…. For a 30 degree offset measure the distance and multiple it by 2. For a 5” 30 degree offset the marks need to be 10” apart. 5x2=10
What about the box offset?
Very small offset.... TBH I usually use Minis instead of one hole straps so I almost never need a box offset. We will cover it though. Thanks!
why did you subtract 2 inches?
I started the bend 2 inches front be end of the conduit… the real question is “why so sweaty?”
It's easier if you just calculate the shrink and pre cut the conduit to length.
The only time I would ever say "shrink" and "easy" together is in a ice bath 😂🤦🏻♂TBH the only time I factor in shrink is on saddles. Good point though and you are more advanced than most.
Or instead of center to center measurements, do outside of knockout to inside of knockout 🤷♂️
You made the right example but you were kind of wrong because you are bending by using measurements from boxes at the top and center of the stud, which I’m pretty sure you know that boxes don’t go on top of the stud it goes inside because then it would be exposed once it gets sheetrocked so that means that offset should of been at least 1 to 3 inches shorter depending on what knockout you are connecting to in each box, great example though I’m pretty sure the smart ones get the point lmao, but keep doing what you are doing I’m pretty sure it helps a lot of people
Unless it’s an opened wall but I doubt it usually walls are covered
This guy is great! The Music background sucks
"Founder and master" don't hurt your shoulder patting yourself on the back
I would’ve said “entrepreneur and electrician,” but I can’t spell those words without auto correct.
How to knew that's the bend you need is 30deg
A 30 can get you almost everywhere on a construction site. Make it your go to.
lower the background music a little.
Josh - Fire your video editor. Not just for the awful intro music, but for not editing out the entire video
Bro. You're an 1/8 away from 15" lol
