The first round of srrs racing took place at windrock offroad park in oliver springs tn, they ran the insanely steep weathered hills they get rougher every year, the drivers didn't hold back some crashed off the jump and didn't even make it to the climb these guys weren't messing around.

Excellent filming. Tim Cameron really is a class act. Awesome.
thanks sir. thanks for watching and commenting!
23:24 Mr Christensen in Gold Rush would have had a time comparable to Tim Cameron's and others, except his buggy died right before the finish line. I'm pretty sure it would have been around 20 seconds. I can't really time it perfectly because the run is split into two different cameras. I can time it really close though. He definitely would not have beat the other guys but he would have had a damn good run. He still did have a good run with 32 seconds but it sucks that his buggie shut off one foot before the finish line, dang. Also thanks for putting these videos on here I didn't even know this sport existed until a week ago and I am loving it.
I'm thinking Tim's score proves he was least vertically challenged that day, hehe. Thanks for the awesome video work!

Awe geez I don't know where to start. Hell I've been down for quite awhile, got a broken back and PTSD so bad, well it aint been easy but thanks to these videos, I have become inspired! I now need to build myself my (what I can afford) version of these truly magnificent Rock Bouncers. Before it all went bad, I was and still am a welder and mechanic so yes, I can indeed build one, just aint got a lot of cash for a beautiful build like these inspiring competition rigs. So like I said, I'll be building myself my version of one. I'll most likely start with a wrecked '05 or so GM 3/4 or 1 ton SRW 4x4 chassis with a 6.0 LS and start cuttin and buildin. Thank you guys so very much for posting all these truly good videos, they have woke me up and inspired me to get at it again. Can't put a price on that my friends, just can't.
Awesome to hear! Good luck with the build!
third time watching...never gets old..i book marked this one next to star wars

Man thers some good sounding buggys there. Great job filming this!!!!!. Does menace have straight rear axle or irs?
Thanks, menace is solid rear axle.
The menace
I looked Bubba square in the eye when he hit the tabletop. I was the dumbass standing on Sparky's tire. I didn't think he'd hit me, but I surely wanted to make sure he had plenty of room haha!
yea i seen ya run, bad place to be nicko.
Keep the reflex :):) I'll always need it .
watching this sport for the first time, so on a regular successful climb are the cars usually damage free other than some dents and dings? or are they taking pretty serious damage every single obstacle and pretty much have to be rebuilt every event? im sure the top guys rebuild everything for each event regardless....oh and generally how much hp do they make and is there a limit?
no limits, thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm not an expert so grain of salt... horsepower for these is probably from 500 to 800, depending on what the builders are going for. I'm guessing engines last for a couple seasons without needing much work -- this activity isn't nearly as demanding/destructive as top fuel drag racing or monster truck shows. I'd guess each team has spare axles, hubs, knuckles, and links, the most likely things to break when they're cartwheeling down the hill. I don't think any of these runs would have caused serious frame damage or even engine damage (besides the one that caught on fire). This seems like an inventor/mechanic's sport. I'd guess most of these are built by whomever's driving it, in a barn next to some farm implements, using mostly a cutoff wheel, hammer, and a MIG welder :D Correct me if I'm wrong, commenters!!
I'm so interesting, and enjoy, but I'm afraid they are good riders, as long its defficult they try very best, me Philippines 🙋♀️
Mercy Luminarias thanks for watching and commenting!
How are you guys so fast at getting the videos out? I love it
Sous’s Missing Finger years of practice. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Shane Christianson just needs to get some throttle control..that buggy is capable of so much more and with a little restraint and if he could resist the urge to to put down less power in certain places he could easily be a top contender. As far as TC gos lol I've watched the vids of his new 2022 buggy ,good lord that thing is like a rocket ship with some suspension bolted to it. His buggys get better every year ,I cant wait to see the new one hit a hard hill .
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Do any of these guys change the gearing in them and run in the Baja 1000 or Barstow to Vegas
no
Do any of these rigs run overdrive or is the gearing always neutral? Seems like it could be affective in helping keep that front end down. Or maybe there is too much wheel spreed for anything but neutral gearing?
Sheer horsepower all depends on the axle gears and the case.
THIS WILL NEVER COME BACK.
DAVE the DUDE WHY WONT IT?
Eu queria sabe cm é nome desses carros aí??
Modern Warfare got that name from a game really really really cool truck
Hyperactive’s Granny called, wants her 307 out of her station wagon back....

Why Scott Layman hasn't called that buggy "Layman's Terms" is beyond me.

Super entertaining - and great filming work with multiple camera perspectives 👍👍. Thank you for putting this online! I have a dumb question: Looking at the way the wheels stir up the soil it looks like some cars are 2WD (for example 06:48 Justin Holt) and some are 4WD (14:54 Randall Keys). Is that correct?
When they in 2wd they broke
41:00 That landing though...

Great races be cool to talk a little about the buggies
What you want to know?
@@HIGHOCTANEFILMS what engines they run drivetrain ect cost experiences ect

40-250k
Who owns Attitude now? Or is it for sale?
Lorne McIntosh Matt still owns it, idk if it’s for sale or not.
@@HIGHOCTANEFILMS I wonder what Matt would sell it for. Everybody loved that buggy.
Lorne McIntosh couldn’t say.
Tim Cameron doesn't play fair. He is the only one with a pilot's license to do low altitude flybys. that man has no fear and complete control of his car.
He’s a driver for sure! Thanks for watching and commenting!

And the local Jeep group thinks they're hardcore lol
thanks for watching and commenting!
Time clock?
Yea that’s what they run against
Why are some of these buggies losing their front drive axle?
drive shaft/transfer case failure. The front axle takes a harder beating when its rammed over obstacles
Looking at the crowd….. I bet the phrase “I tell you what” has been used once. At least once.
I bet your a yankee you should go to one of these races I am sure they would welcome you lol

Also why are ALL these guys ALWAYS running to much tire pressure and often no beadlocks? They would do SO much better, especially in the rocks.

Amazing machines with really poor drivers. Unless they only care about putting on a show and not winning or keeping their rig in one piece.
