Idc what anyone says, I want a 2d animated series about Anakin and Obi wan during from the ages 15-19 and Kenobi from seasons from ages 31-53, starting 4 years before AOTC. With awesome starfighter dogfights, bounty hunters, assassins, senators, hostage situations, pirates, funny arguments, Anakin going rogue, Kenobi acting like a father, Palpatine pandering to Anakin, dangerous local races, republic judicial and militia forces (with a slightly different look and style from the ones in episode 1), Corvette fleet style battles, small scale ground battles, and cool chase scenes. I want this like 10 years from now. There could be a Dooku cameo. Want to see Quinlan Vos, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, Krell, Cal's master from fallen order, and other cool jedi. Plus Cad Bane, Aurra Sing, and Embo. We need an Obi Wan and Qui Gon series first. This show should be 5 seasons since we have seen these two so much and the last half of the last season should be the first month of the clone wars up until Anakin is knighted. I would make this show shorter than TCW, the Dooku series (12 one hour live action episodes), or the Qui Gon and Kenobi series (with 18-20, 3d CGI 30 minute episodes). This series should just have twelve, 30 minute episodes per season. I want a 5 season Dooku show and a 5 season Kenobi and Qui Kenobi show.

It's really cute how George and Hayden radiate strong dad and son energy when they're together. Hayden listens with such rapt attention when George is directing him, and George gives Hayden the freedom to have a say in how Anakin appears on screen.

Considering the script and writing he played this role incredibly. He always seemed conflicted and that's a key part of the anakin in this movie. The lines with padme weren't incredible but I feel that's more to the writers than to christensens acting. He did a great job with what he was given
I agree honestly. Even though people wanted a "nicer" Anakin, I think Hayden playing a guy who is slowly getting worse and worse on top of already having issues, was a solid performance.
One key factor for me is, that the - what everyone assumes - one dimensional, unemotional acting is actually completely based on James Earl Jones' voice from the OT; Hayden mimicked both the unemotional, flat tone, as well as did his best to adopt the cadence of speech, JEJ applied to voicing Vader. And it all makes so much sense; him being abducted by a group of space monks that live in celibacy, before he could have gotten any grasp of social interaction between grow(ing)ups, and the emotional chaos that is puberty. That's got to make you uneasy, and uncertain of how to behave, when you're sworn to this ideal of living without love(d ones).
@@zb695 well i mean he had a lot of emotions when he found out about padme being pregnant, when he was emotional about dooku's death, when his mom died. I really don't get people saying he was unemotional. He just didn't crack jokes 24 hours a day because most of the story is anakin having depression.
The prelogy scripts and dialogs of Lucas are great. The dialogs are just misunderstood or misinterpreted like the dialog about the sand which is a dive into Anakin's subconscious. He is the one who wrote the most important dialogs of the saga, especially those of Yoda in ESB and ROTJ, so deep and he is the one who gave his style to the dialogs of the saga. Those who think that more realistic and common dialogs would work better are mistaken. Star Wars dialogs have a special color, they are not ordinary dialogs from a conversation you may have with your neighbors. They are sometimes complex to pronounce, but they mark the spirits to such an extent that some actors like Mark Hamill are able to recite them by heart even today. There are as many cult dialogs in the prelogy as in the original trilogy. Star Wars is a special saga about a distant and special time, the dialogues have to be special. This is an important part of the identity of the saga.
He's supposed to play an awkward teen to young adult, and he did that really well.

I really hope that they include some references to Anakin's training between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. The problem with AOTC is that we get to hear about all these incredible adventures that Anakin and Obi-wan shared, but we never actually get to *see* any of it. I can't see it happening, but I'd pay to see a spinoff series that covers Anakin's entire training arc

I absolutely love ROTS. Definitely one of my fave Star Wars films. I especially love the last bit of the film where it it all wraps up and transitions into the original trilogy. Beautifully and tastefully handled. So glad that Hayden is getting more respect these days. He deserves it. And I wish Lucas could come back to direct one more film to restore dignity to this franchise and set it on the right path going forward. 🙏🏻

Nah, the dialogue is pretty bad, but in Hayden's defense you can't say "I don't like sand" while you stroke a woman's shoulder or "from my point of view it is the Jedi who are evil" in the middle of an intense battle without it sounding weird and out of place. The moments where there isn't any dialogue and Hayden is conveying emotion purely from his facial expressions are when you can truly appreciate him
Oliver Crosby You’d have to be pretty picky to not like his dialogue, I personally had not problem with it and loved it, so....
He was WAY better in ROTS than in AOTC, I think that George Lucas made it a point to tighten up the writing a bit and let the actors’ chemistry flow (look at Hayden’s acting with Ewan McGregor in particular)

Remember, Disney didn't killed star wars. The haters did, they killed star wars with their hate towards the prequel which was a master piece. Then Lucas didn't survived the critics and the hate and said he won't do movies anymore. Much later he sold it to Disney but the damage was already done by the haters.

Hayden is an incredible actor. I was young when I first watched the movies, but I've seen them recently and he's so good. I really feel his characters emotions, I think he's the perfect Anakin.

I've always said that Hayden Christensen was the perfect choice for Anakin. All the trolls that claim he was too whiny seriously don't understand the development of his character at all. Put it into context. Anakin spends his entire childhood living as a slave, then all of a sudden a Jedi Knight whisks him away and tells him that he's the 'chosen one'. Only, he's forbidden from showing any kind of emotion or affection because it's seen as a weakness. He can't share his feelings for Padme or even confide in Obi-wan, who can never really become the father-figure he needed. On top of that he's constantly held back by the council and his own master, even as he gradually becomes more powerful than all of his peers. How would anyone react in that situation? Can anyone blame Anakin for being unstable and moody? I think that any actor would struggle to portray such a complex character and Hayden does it brilliantly, regardless of what anyone says.
One of the few things I’ve disagreed with Ben Shapiro on is Hayden’s acting. I think he’s a great actor, I think the dialogue was more of the problem

I remember certain Star Wars fans criticized his acting for being emotionless droid. Ironically, Jedi aren't supposed to have emotions and Hayden played it perfectly. A character that is supposed to be emotionless but struggles with his emotions. More importantly, you can see it in face that he is about to explode with hatred due to having so many emotions bottled up inside of him and his delivering of lines with such a complex character is well done. Anyone that says his acting in Star Wars is terrible, because of his monotony clearly doesn't understand Star Wars enough or knows what good acting looks like. Also, even though Hayden played the role perfectly, we also have to commend George Lucas for directing him and guiding him into playing that character.

People got mad at how Hayden portrayed Anakin/Vader's emotions. I think he nailed it. Anakin was a slave in his childhood - he didn't grow up well-educated and he shouldn't have a silver tongue. A lot of the flirty lines he gives Padme come across as more genuine because you believe they would come from someone like him. And his diction is spot-on. You can picture a lot of his lines being said by James Earl Jones with the same inflection, pace, and tone.
I can't anyone else playing Anakin other than Hayden.

Just look at any scene with him where theres no dialogue and you just have hayden communicating to the audience what anikans thoughts and emotions are simply through his facial expressions, and on top of that he seems to be a genuinely great guy
