Mathieu Van der Poel is one of the riders of his generation and is beginning to dominate the world of road cycling as well despite not having ridden a single grand tour stage.

Nove mesto 2019 xc MTB leaving Nino Shurter at the bottom of a climb in the last lap.
It's impossible to not be a fan of Mathieu 😂
I'm a Van Aert fan and even i like MVDP sometimes it hurts when he wins
Wout van aert is the best
@@rubenvandenbosch4172 31 januari gaan we zien :)
I m not
This video is sorely missing his win in the Amstel Goldrace, which was probably his most superb win ever, and his MTB-worldcup win, which underlined even more his versatility.
Part 1 for that
@@thecyclingdane but the wrong link
@@giannini0786 Thanks for that. Changed it now
This video needs an almost daily update with the way he rides! 🔥🔥🔥
Notice how often WvA comes up in VDP's best moments, 2 Gods of cycling
Watch them both wear the yellow jersey this tour btw, after the solo time trial
Love the music right in the middle of the video!
We need part 3!
Just 7 months later and we can make a whole new top 10. With CX WC 4th time, UAE, Strade, Tirreno, Tour de Suisse and TDF
It's quite clear that his physical ability is of different league, I haven't seen sprint with that much excess power left before he made it seems so easy.
Nice video ! I want see more about Mathie Van der Poul
Coming soon!
What about Amstel gold? Stunning win!
Part 1 :P
His comeback in loenhout cx last year
I mean, his Amstel gold race win is by far the most beautiful thing i’ve seen in cycling for the past decade.. Why is that missing:(
Its in part 1 :P
@@thecyclingdane I stand corrected.
at 5:42 it says 2020 CX worlds at the bottom but you're talking about the tour of Flanders
So true! Oops 😅
So his all time rival is wout van aert?
Love your accent! Reminds me of Solskjaer's.
Nice Title! :)
Yeah its really catching I like it!
Hopefully, this is only the beginning ...
Great vid, it's binckbank tour btw
Ah yes you are right :) Glad you liked it
Head of the race Mathieu Van der Poel
How could you miss his win in the Amstel Gold? Most memorable...
Thats in PART 1 ;)
What's name of the song minute 5:41? @thecyclingdane ? Thanks!
Will ask Jack :)
@@thecyclingdane thanks and great video!

0:28 on left side is that wout van aert?
yes, its mostly likely Wout van Aert
Super Ironman💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🚴♂️💨💨💨✨🇧🇷
0:17 is Marianne Vos and not MVDP ...
Mvdp is the best rider of the world at the moment
why is he not participating in giro this year even though his team is participarting?
His racing was like a cow attack. Crusade army.
Performance wise he already is GOAT. Results wise only a cyborg will stop him.
Well said he is incredible atm
you missed Amstel Gold Race 2019😉
In Part 1 ;)
@@thecyclingdane sorry just found this video randomly👍🏼
It s a monster
im curious why is he no where near the TDF?
His team haven’t had a place in the tdf as they’re not a world tour team but they have a place for 2021 and he’s said he wants to do the tdf and then head to the olympics after
The narrator needs a bit of practice. But good video!
Jack will get better :P
Ken griffey of cycling
He has done enough now to make a new video I think...
Mathieu heeft het wielrennen gekoloniseerd
Just dudes with poel in the end lol
1:15: very little effort whatsoever? I doubt he felt that way. Very little close competition, maybe.
With very little effort? He basically collapsed at the end of the race
Strade Bianche
The kid doesn’t make sense, how is it he is so much faster than the rest??
He does have the cycling genes from gods, his dad and his grandfather were also exceptional cyclists
@@thecyclingdane Not that his dad relied purely on natural talent. Seems like all but one on the PDM team was running on high octane. In my experience there's one reason that a rider is so much faster than the rest.
Not that his dad relied purely on natural talent. Seems like all but one on the PDM team was running on high octane. In my experience there's one reason that a rider is so much faster than the rest. Bentelan which is Betamethasone - administered by Bertus Fok. 11-7-88 TdF. You would have to guess anyone taking a steroid then, didn't do it just the once. There's little point in believing any performance in cycling.
@@dsc7914 Make sense. So probably only those drivers on Formula 1 don't need steroids, just their cars .
*P*
Maybe I'm missing something but cycling needs a new measurement - new SINGLE unit of expressing power of time, so one can compare differing power of differing time. Running/athletics has 400 metric measurements which is very close to a 'mental model', but cycling analysist/even very knowledgable commentators refer to x Power of x time which which require arithmatic, just make a new unit of measurement ffs already please.
Well watts are j/s so they could just use joules no need to invent a new unit
@@sambarrett4726No that's the wrong direction, that's integration not derivative. J/s is not usefull for explaining human performance. Need to get closer to mental model.
@@blinky6667 average wattage can easily be used for the measurement of "differing power of differing time", so I honestly don't see what the problem is. You also have peak wattage if that is necessary.
Music is horrible.
